This, my friends, is my very favorite part of Thanksgiving dinner. I know some of you will think I'm perfectly crazy, but it's true. This is my Grandma Baker's cranberry sauce. It's been at my Thanksgiving dinner table for as long as I can remember, and I just can't have Thanksgiving without it. Maybe since my Grandma is gone now it has a special new meaning, but it has always been a favorite. In fact my family doesn't eat this stuff like any average cranberry sauce, it's not just meant for our turkey, it is it's own side dish as well. Just dish yourself up a bowlful and it's like going home! This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with Jon's family. It was very fun and I especially like when we go around the table and tell each other what we are grateful for. I thought Grandma's cranberry sauce and I would be standing alone at the dinner table because I've brought it before and I'm the only fan. But this year, my children helped me eat a nice big bowl full (before Thanksgiving) and at Thanksgiving Jon's Mom and Dad gave it another try and they liked it this year. They aren't up to the side dish liking yet, but that may come in the future ;-). I tell ya, this stuff will grow on you. It will get in your system and suddenly you won't be able to eat a Thanksgiving dinner without it! But maybe that's just me. I love it! I miss you Grandma, but I feel like a part of you was with me today! And I'm grateful for that!!!
P.S. I'm also grateful for Nick :-) Just so you know!
