We were hot so I bought a plastic pool and put it on
the deck over the garage. The kids LOVE it!

Finally the girls left and Parker had
the pool all to himself

BiRThDaY pARty

Maddie officially turned 8 years old on June 2nd. Since we celebrated the weekend before with Grandma and Jill and all her gifts, her actual birthday was small and quiet. We had a great sign in the front yard letting everyone know of the special day

We ate a giant cookie instead of a cake
Opened one gift from grandparents
THANKS!!

THEN.....Maddie really wanted to have a birthday party this year with her friends. Since we've never really had a friend party, I gave in and we set the plans in motion

Gift card from Coral

Melty beads from Ashley

Do it yourself wind chimes from Ainsley

Totally PINK presents from Ella

Dog Webkin from Emma

Another fluffy dog from Shelby

We decorated pink cupcakes

Made flower clips for our hair

Watched movies, ate pizza, and played games

Ended the night with pink candy in a monogramed jar

Overall, it was a very loud, giggly, exciting night. Maddie had a great time and she can't wait to do it all again next year. Hope she isn't too disappointed when she finds out her mother isn't as excited about it as she is. I am anti-birthday party.....such a grinch!!
