THE FINAL POST (WELL, NOT REALLY)
Finally able to have some time to blog here, like what you guys said, the final post.
Seriously, I dont want this to be the end of ALLORIX you know. Can this not be the final post? :/

Personally, I didnt enjoy orientation to my fullest. Okay read finish first, this is because I was sick since sunday and i'm in a stoning state since day 1 actually. Also, i thought i wasnt a good OG head. I hope that you guys will forgive me for all my shortcomings and imperfections.

Initially, I must admit that I felt quite lonely in Allorix actually. I dont know like 99% of you I think. In some way, i was a nobody also la. haha. but you guys made me the OG head in some way, and i told myself not to let you all down. i really hope i didnt! sorry if i just wasnt good enough. one regret i have, is that i didnt spend enough time with all my ogls and my very own sub-og.

I was caught by surprise when I received the news that ALLORIX EMERGED AS FIRST RUNNER UP FOR ORIENTATION OVERALL. gosh, i was really happy actually. although, yesyes, points do not really matter as long as you guys and the freshmen enjoyed themselves, but i'm sure this is like a bonus to all our efforts and of course, the freshmen's efforts too! well done ogls! you guys played a big part in it too! (:

I would like to thank ALL OF YOU here, for helping me since day0, where we did all the preparation work.

Emo.
Hello everyone,

Time really flies, doesn't it...

It seems only yesterday when I was working on the creation of this blog, late into the night.
But then, only yesterday, did I see the very existence of this very blog's purpose begin to dwine.

For months, we've been together.
For weeks, we've been working.
For days, we've been waiting.

And now, as the very purpose of some of us stepping into each other's lives is about to end, I just want to let everyone know that I am really thankful for this opportunity to meet each and every single one of you in Allorix. I really am...

You guys have been such an awesome bunch of people and all of you have made an impact in my life! Being in Allorix remains one of my most memoriable and enjoyable days of my life in VJ and it will probably be one of those fond memories which will remain with me for many many years to come.

As we walk towards the white dwarf that is about to consume our togetherness as a OG, I just want to say that no matter where, no matter how, I really hope I am able to work with all of you once again, someday.

I hope that all of you will find that some of our newfound friendships won't be a transient one. Probably not with each and every single OGL in Allorix, but perhaps, some new everlasting friends you've made while walking down this road down Orientation 2009. :)

Once again, it has been a real pleasure and a real honour working with each and every one of you.

Thank you so much for everything, Allorix OGLs! :)

Last Words
Hey guys, last words regarding the grand walk-in.

EDITS
For the attire for the grand walk-in, it's now BLACK SHORTS + BLACK SHIRTS, instead of track pants.
This is due to the fact that some of us do not really have track pants or black long pants and also it'll be very troublesome to bring an extra pants since we're needed to bring much more other stuffs.

For those babysitters/people not involved in the walk-in, though it is not really necessary for you to bring black shirts, you can bring it just in case. Just in case some actors forgot to bring their black shirts. Just in case you're too sweaty and the end of the day and need to change into something new. Just in case we need extra calefare.

The password remains the same, first and last no of my hp no, or your two-digit birthyear.
Not much edits, except for the music for Scene 3 Act 2, "The Family".
After some discussions, we found that the part is quite short, and hence we have decided to do away with the music.
For characters appearing in Scene 3 Act 2, the cue for the start of the act is the fading off of the previous music.
For characters appearing in Scene 4, the cue is the start of the new music.
People affected, please take note of this.


Let's all work extra hard and get through this grand walk-in!

GRAND WALK-IN, on paper.
Hey guys,
Ci Yi here again! =)
As you all know, the grand walk-in is just about 50+ hours away and we only had like just one training (cum brainstorming session); and the training was done when less than half of us are there.
So, for your convenience (and my inconvenience), I've done up a document featuring every action, every move, every expression that should be done during the walk-in.

You can access the document here.
To prevent unauthorised access, the password is the first and last number of my mobile no.
Go check it out on the contact list*.

So, what should you do after downloading it?
  1. Print it out.
  2. Look at your roles, and remember the codename.
    (P.S. EVERYONE has a role to play in the grand walk-in)
  3. Read the script, highlight the parts with your codename.
  4. Read the script again to familiarise yourself with it.
  5. Read the script once more to make sure you really know everything.
  6. Don't forget to look at the LOGISTICS part!!!
    Some of you have been assigned the roles to bring/borrow some logistics stuff, so do check it out.

Make sure you know it roughly before you come on Monday.
cos Monday is our last practice session for this. Then we have to show it to SC. Then we have to show it to the freshmen.
So, to avoid the wastage of time, it'll be really appreciated if you look at the document as serious as when you're reading a comprehension passage.

More Important Facts

Attire for the walk-in is changed to:
BLACK TEE + BLACK TRACK PANTS/LONG PANTS.
'cos don't you think it's abit weird wearing the black tee with vj shorts?
Hmm, I don't know, the attire, is nevertheless, still open for discussion.

Hello, since i'm kinda free now and noted down important stuff from the briefing the other day, i shall be nice and list them down here for your reference (:

#1 - Each Sub OG should have 3 1.5L bottles at all times.

#2 - Proper footwear at all times, dont walk barefooted.

#3 - Black shorts only.

#4 - Mass Dance at suntec is on 6th feb. All Sub-ogs must bring their own
thrash bags.

#5 - When calling freshmen on Sat/Sun night, inform them about

1. time/venue/attire (sec sch uniform)
2. tell them to pack light, bring water bottle, money for lunch/sch
uniform/PE attire/OPACs (22bucks)
3. OG and subOG name

#6 - Collate PE shirt sizes on Day 1 as subOG for freshmen. 2 OGs per day to
purchase school uniform.

#7 - Attire for OGLs,

Day 1: PE tee Yellow orientation tee (note change!)
Day 2: PE tee
Day 3: White orientation tee
Day 4: House Tee
Day 5: Yellow Orientation tee for mass dance at night.
Dark Coloured clothes for day.

#8 - Attire for freshmen,

The Allorix Story.

A.D 3009, in the reclaimed kingdom of Victoria, there lived a boy genius named Jimmy Proton. As usual, Jimmy was working on his next masterpiece, a humanoid made out of a purplish-silver alloy that is totally impenetrable to anything.

Finally, after days and days of blood and sweat, Jimmy's hardwork had finally paid off. The humanoid was born and was named Allorix, which meant "Metallic Knight". As Jimmy was gleaming with pride from his success, he noticed something, something that was beyond his wildest imaginations. He saw that Allorix could actually able to interact with the metallic objects in his laboratary, allowing him to mould and use them in whatever way he likes. However, he soon realised that his powers were still unstable and weak. Nonetheless, he believed he had the potential, the power to change things. He just knew it.

Allorix soon became a part of the Proton family and under the love and caring teachings of Jimmy, Allorix had grown mentally from a naive newborn to a being with a kind-hearted and carefree soul. But Allorix was not satisfied being just a nobody. He dreamt big, for his ambition was to use his powers for the good of mankind, to rid all evil from the face of the galaxy.

With that dream in mind, Allorix tried fervently to master his powers. Though met with failures, Allorix never ever gave up and with that, he was finally able to control his powers. Using the leftover alloy that Jimmy used to create him, he created a surfboard,which allowed him to surf through great seas as well as the galaxy. From then on, Allorix began on his conquest to help people in the Reclaimed Kingdom of Victoria.

One fateful day, the villagers spotted a weird opening in the sky. Being the only one who could fly up to the skies, Allorix took the initiative to investigate. As he drew nearer to the opening, Allorix suddenly felt a great force that vacuumed him towards the unknown opening. His efforts to escape to futile and he went unconscious then after.

When he woke up, he found himself in a place so familiar, yet so stranger to him. As he walked in the streets of the unknown land, he saw someone pointing to the sky and screaming, "The curse has befallen! The curse has befallen!" He looked up and saw a sinister figure that was emerging from a similar opening that he had saw in his homeland. "It's Ananke! RUN!", he heard someone shout as he was still stunned from the pure evil that was radiating upon that figure. He then realised he was back in time for he had heard the tales of the evil Ananke that was passed down generations to generations back in his time.

He knew he had to do something. He just had to.
