We are crazy...Crazy in LOVE. :)

If you tend to be judgemental, go ahead and skip over this post. :)

This pic is a little crazy. I know.
But it's "us".
And I love who we are
and that we don't take life so serious
that we can't be spontaneous on our
 15 year wedding anniversary.
And when will I ever get tattooed in Hawaii
 by local Hawaiian dudes.
Who were really sweet, by the way, and free handed these tats.
Dean got sea turtle or "honu"
and I got a hibiscus flower, the states flower.
Under our tats is the Hawaiian phrase,
"Mau Loa"
and it means Forever!

I always tell people, I love Jesus and I like tattoo's. :)

And I love my sweet husband more and more!
(yeah, cheesy, but it's for REAL!)
The longer we are together and more things we go through and
 "grow" through...
the more I love him!

Faith~

Notes from a previous sermon... Maybe this will encourage and bless some one.

1) A journey of faith is the antidote to a settled life. Gen 12:1

2) The journey of faith leads you to a place you'd choose to be anyway. Psalm 37:3-4

3) God responds with steps of faith with blessing. Gen 12:2a

4) Being blessed enables you to be a blessing. Gen 12:2b

5) The invitation is for you , the response is a willingness to move. Gen 12:4

I love studying scripture about faith. It is encouraging and wonderful to be challenged in this area. I am always asking God for faith and wisdom. He can and will give it to you. How "settled" are you? Where in your life is your faith currently being tested? How will your willingness and ability to take faith risks impact what God does in your church/family/life?

~When you know God, you will know He is trustworthy.~

Seriously MIA...

Well, It has been a few months, eh? What in the world! I have been missing blogging and getting my thoughts out.... Things got a little crazy when school started! Kade is playing football, 9th grade, and Ty is also playing pee wee football, Paige volley ball, and Trace is just going to a gymnastics class I help teach. I always let them pick one activity each semester but with 4 kids, that can really add up.

My sweet hubby and I also took a week off of "real life" and celebrated 15 years of marriage in Hawaii!!! Best thing we ever did. I have to admit, although it was beautiful, I started feeling like Gilligan, shipwrecked on an island, stranded, claustrophobic. It  was worth it to spend some much needed time together!

I'll try to post some pics from the trip and from our first fall in New Braunfels. We had the best summer ever with all the stuff to do around here.
I will also try to post some pics of some wonderful little shops I have found so that when you come here, you'll have some cool places to go other than the touristy parts.

That's all for now...I'm gonna try to post at least once a week! Sorry about the disappearing act...

July 4th!

Happy Independence Day!
Let Freedom Ring!
We did nothing too crazy! Hung out and grilled yumminess! The 6 of us! Bought all kinds root beers and cream sodas, and Izze's too. The kids think they are really cool. We even caught Trace telling the neighbor "Look what my dad is letting me drink." HA!
 Brothers!
Trace and our neighbor Isabella hangin out.
 Paige loves cream soda!
Dean and Paige went to watch fireworks at Landa Park! Totally worth it! If you are ever here, they are really really good! Better than Kingwood according to the hubs.

That's all for now! We are off to CO so I'll try to blog as soon as I get back! Cherish you summer with the kids even if they are driving you bonkers! I feel like during the school year, I hardly see them.
I never want to look back and wish I would have spent more time with my kiddos.

June O' June!

I honestly don't know where to start!
We bought a house, moved, friends came to visit, we celebrated a birthday and father's day on the same day, and we had our first birthday party at the new casa for Trace.
He is a whopping 6!

Here are some pics from the month......
This one is our living room in the new/old house, almost done.
(Parker likes to bark at the deer out in the yard)

Papa John and Ty painting Ty's model car.

Cindy Lou! Grillin' and Hangin' like we do.
We always love having them come out to visit!!

My Sweetie Pie got a new grill!! Gas and Charcoal!
Happy Birthday and Father's Day to my sexy man.
(sorry for those last couple of words ;)

Happy Birthday! The big 37! We got him a yummy Key Lime Pie from a cute bakery in town called 2 Tarts! If you come to NB, you should check it out.

And last but not least, my tiny newborn....Trace, turned 6! I really wanted him to stay 5.
He is so much fun. He keeps our family laughing all the time.
He will start kindergarten this year and is so ready.
I am tempted to home school again just because I like being with him.

Our friends just happened to be in town from Kingwood and they came by!
Everyone loved Davin! He loved the cake! :)
So great seeing the Childer's family.
Thank You Jenna for taking some pics!
One of Trace's new buddy's Cole!
Thanks for checking in on the Williamson Clan!

Princess Fionna

From Shrek!
That is a really good picture of how my daughter's personality is.
Give me my lip gloss then burp louder than any man....
She loves t-shirts and toms.
Pony tails and braids.
A good laugh at the expense of, anyone...
We had a girls weekend last weekend.
Dean took the boys camping at Garner and my little woman and I
went to the Farmers Market, shopping, got pedi's and a hair cut,
gave each other facials and made cake balls.
It was sweet and I loved it.

I have to say this face "mud" we bought at the Farmer's Market was so great. When it dried we couldn't move our faces....so this pic is just that. :) I think we look alot alike, minus the nose. She has Dean's for sure.

Did I mention she will be 12 tomorrow!!!!!!!!
Goodness!!!

I am really trying to savor and live in these sweet moments. It's really hard for me but I know it's crucial and important to stop and breathe! With all of the adjustments and changes and moves we have been through I am praying that I never look back and wish I would have spent less time stressing about life and more time reading with my kids or singing Taylor Swift with my Paige.

Cheers to Transitions,

Seasons

"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven..."
Ecclesiastes 3:1

We have definitely had a "seasonal" last few months around here.
First, we moved to a new town, kids are still adjusting and not to mention I have a 14 year old all the way down to a 5 year old. My brain can barely keep up with the switching back and forth...
We found a house that we are buying so we'll be moving again in a month. I am super excited! I think this is the first house that I have actually picked out.
(I get overwhelmed easily when $ is involved so I typically let Dean choose where we live, I just request 4 bedrooms and good backyard.)

Another "season"

My middles schoolers are trying to find their place here, which if you remember MS, its not easy....
My 8th grader had his first dance, which combines the 2 middle schools here before they enter high school.  He didn't want to go and I was ok with that but as it got closer, he realized it might be fun.
He has never had a girlfriend or anything but decided 2 days before the dance that he wanted to ask his friend Liz that rides the bus! REALLY? 2 Days?
So, she said "sure".
Then the confusion starts, do you need a corsage? Are you meeting her there? Are yall getting dinner? Do you need to pay for hers? Should we pick her up?
Gosh! This is stressful all over again.....
I ran to the florist, Khols, and Target to get all the goodies needed.
Then... it all started coming together...
It was really cute when we met up with the crew.
You know how us girls are...14 of them met at this amazing place called Huisache, and 4 boys....hahaha
I guess only 4 of them had "dates".
Here are a few pics from that night.
He had a blast.

A few things I have been learning about seasons or change...
A. Healthy transitions begin with a healthy understanding of change.
B. Expect change.
C. Embrace change.
D. Always keep learning.
E. Stay rooted in the one thing that NEVER changes... GOD!

Something special

We are on the hunt for our new home here in NB!!
I found a couple I would move into right now!
Requirements are: old, big lot with mature trees, 4 br, on the hill, good price!
I don't know why I ever get worked up or stressed about this kind of stuff but I do.
If God has a plan for my life then I am sure somewhere in that plan, He has a house for us already.
I am getting anxious and want to make offers on both-and one isn't even listed yet but will be soon....hahaha!
(deep breath!)

Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight. ~ I can't remember where that's at but it just came to me as I am sitting here stressing out.
Thank You Lord for always reminding us to trust You.
I choose You, even though I want to do everything myself, I still choose You.
All 4 Him,
B

Extended Family!

Our Kroger's came for a whole week!! We had so much fun!
Willi and Krog kids!

Icecream in Gruene!

And...the River walk in San Antonio-we had to show these guys the "ropes'. ;)

Oh and a super embarrassing and funny thing happened that day in down town SA. I was wearing a little sun dress and walked over a vent on the sidewalk and my dress blew completely up over my head. yeah. Every car waiting in line to park in the parking garage got to see my lady business.
Pretty typical!  :-/

Guadalupe River State Park is always fun!
Paige and her daddy.

And our usual "FAMILY" picture.

We had such a great time. Love that our families hearts are truely knit together in a special way! I love the way the Lord blesses me through relationships with others! Looking forward to our trip to CO this summer to see them again!

Our first Visitors!

John and Cindy, some of our best friends, were the first to visit!
They used to live around these parts so off we went on a short, 15 minute short, drive to Canyon Lake. I have never seen a lake this blue! It was so beautiful and as you can see in the pics, windy!

Here is our little "guest suite".
As we all waited anxiously for them to get here, my kids made them Welcome signs.
Some in the room, some on the front door...
they were almost as excited as me. :)

John and Dean-they are so cute!
John is kinda like a brother to me. I like to hug his neck then
punch him in the shoulder...ya know. :) He and Dean couldn't be closer
friends! I love that for my man.
 Cindy and me!
Did I mention it was windy....ha!
She is such a special girl!
I love when we are hangin out and she says "what else, let's talk, what do you wanna talk about?"
I can tell her anything, and she listens and gives me good Godly advice, always.
(Cindy-we need to plan our girls weekend!)

We haven't had one weekend with out visitors!
It's really fun to live in a place where people want to come!

and PS again.....
If you come through NB, you must stop by a little bar b q joint called Granzin's!
It is my favorite!

Our First Month

And this is where it started! In the cutest little B&B in Boerne. (Thanks Jenna and Dustin)
We stayed here for a weekend while we looked and prayed about where
to move to?
And on to goodbyes.... :(

We chose the quaint, small town feel of New Braunfels!
This transition has been so easy. I'm not sure if its because I can jump in my car
on any given day and drive into H-town to see my family.....or
the fact that everyone I've met has been so
sweet.....or
having our favorite friends and family already out for visits!?

I have a sweet friend that I grew up with that lives here, and she brought over dinner
one night!

The kids also made friends in the neighborhood super fast!
Score!!
(please ignore Trace's face, oh my)

Neighbors brought over brownies, and they are pretty much my favorite!!!

Our bedroom is almost done!!

We are so grateful that God has brought our family here....
Still in search of a church home,
still not sure where we want to buy a home,
but have total faith that it's all going to work out!

B

Routine!

Well, I have a ton of pics and lots to say but today I just wanted to share with you all that things are going so well here! I am convinced that kids do best when there is some sort of structure and routine. So, here is a little example of what my family has been implementing this week and everyone seems happier. ;)

Each kid has regular chores like make bed, put clothes away, Pagie feeds dogs, Kade does dishes after dinner, etc... and these are to earn the right to watch TV, play video games on the weekend and stuff like that.... then there are chores that we call "money makers", (which is what my 14 year old calls his legs-haha!), and these can earn you $! These include scooping dog poop in the backyard, vacuuming downstairs, or sweeping the kitchen. So everyone is motivated! It's good!

Our after school routine is something like this:
Snack
Homework
Chores
Playtime outside
6 o'clock sharp ~ dinner bell
Shower
Family Time
8:15 Bed Time

My house is peaceful, happy, and healthy!
Yay!
Hope this inspires someone to make a great routine for their family!

Moving Life

We are HERE!! My life should get back to normal some what! My last few days went like this....

Wednesday: Packers packed our house, the whole thing from 8-4, non-stop. So I visited some friends, said some "see you later's" and tried to keep lil T out of the way. Ate dinner and spent the night with good friends.
Thursday: Got up, got everyone dressed, took Paige to school, (she is the only one who wanted to go), got all 3 kids withdrawal papers. Dean met the movers at the house so they could start loading the truck.
Drove to NB to a hotel to stay the night so we could meet the movers at our new casa....oh and we had a showing at our house in Kingwood. Yeah, really! With boxes everywhere. :(
Friday: Woke up in our new home town! :) Went to our new casa and figured out whose rooms were whose, movers arrived and unloaded...again from 9-3. They were super sweet and only broke our desk, then put it back together...Paige and I hopped back in the car to drive back to H-town. Stayed the night with a great friend-and we took our other friend to get her nose pierced. :)
Saturday: Cleaned our empty house with my friend....that was sad. (deep breath) Took Paige to lunch and then to her orchestra ensemble and solo where she got 1's in both! Which is great! She got 2 medals! (we found out too that she accidentally left her cello in NB so had to find another one for her to borrow, talk about stressin!!) After her orchestra gig, we headed to my sister's to get our dogs! And we were off!!! Back to NB. My aunt and cousin brought over dinner and dessert. Snuggled with my man and slept in my bed..... aahhhh
Sunday: Here we are! Dean went to visit a new church, I am almost done unpacking our kitchen, still in pj's, drinking lots of coffee, and listening to the kids play. Good day so far. Heading to an old friends, Jenny, to watch the game later. :)

I am thinking that was more than a few days...everything is running together so you'll have to cut me some slack. ;)

Looking forward to our first week in our new home town. I know lots of people vacation here, but honestly I've only been here a couple of times in my life. Thank goodness from google!

B

Look Who's Turning 1

Our sweet Parker is 1 year old!!!!
