"There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven..."
Ecclesiastes 3:1
We have definitely had a "seasonal" last few months around here.
First, we moved to a new town, kids are still adjusting and not to mention I have a 14 year old all the way down to a 5 year old. My brain can barely keep up with the switching back and forth...
We found a house that we are buying so we'll be moving again in a month. I am super excited! I think this is the first house that I have actually picked out.
(I get overwhelmed easily when $ is involved so I typically let Dean choose where we live, I just request 4 bedrooms and good backyard.)
Another "season"
My middles schoolers are trying to find their place here, which if you remember MS, its not easy....
My 8th grader had his first dance, which combines the 2 middle schools here before they enter high school. He didn't want to go and I was ok with that but as it got closer, he realized it might be fun.
He has never had a girlfriend or anything but decided 2 days before the dance that he wanted to ask his friend Liz that rides the bus! REALLY? 2 Days?
So, she said "sure".
Then the confusion starts, do you need a corsage? Are you meeting her there? Are yall getting dinner? Do you need to pay for hers? Should we pick her up?
Gosh! This is stressful all over again.....
I ran to the florist, Khols, and Target to get all the goodies needed.
Then... it all started coming together...
It was really cute when we met up with the crew.
You know how us girls are...14 of them met at this amazing place called Huisache, and 4 boys....hahaha
I guess only 4 of them had "dates".
Here are a few pics from that night.
He had a blast.
A few things I have been learning about seasons or change...
A. Healthy transitions begin with a healthy understanding of change.
B. Expect change.
C. Embrace change.
D. Always keep learning.
E. Stay rooted in the one thing that NEVER changes... GOD!
All 4 Him,
B
