Naturally, we should give thanks everyday of the year. But, I am grateful to have an actual day of thanksgiving set aside to stop and remember to be grateful for the blessings we have received.
I would like to list a few:
My family. I am blessed with an awesome husband and eight amazing children. Each with their own unique personalities that make our family complete. I love them so much!
A roof over our heads. It isn't our own but it is protection from the elements, as stable as possible, and a grand blessing. My children have a bed to lay down in at night, a warm blanket to wrap themselves up in, and a pillow to lay their head to rest on. What a blessing!
Food on our table. It may not always be what the kids like but it is food and it is edible. If we go to bed hungry it is our own fault. We are fortunate to have the ingredients we need to make a decent meal. I am blessed to have been taught by some of the best (in my book) how to cook. I am so grateful for this knowledge and that every night we can sit around the dinner table as a family and enjoy a meal together. What a blessing!
Working vehicles. We have two vans. They have their issues but they still run! We have never been stranded because of mechanical issues. They have safely gotten us halfway around the country and back a few times. We have many fun memories that I wouldn't trade for anything.
Most importantly I am grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ. I am nothing without Him. I am everything because of Him. I know that He knows me and is aware of me. He sees me at my best and my worst and still loves me and thinks I am worth it. He is my salvation, my everything, my all. And, I love Him. He has given me everything that is of worth to me. He protects everything that is precious to me. I am Blessed!
Life may not be going just like we planned but it's going. We are alive, healthy, and relatively happy.
WE ARE BLESSED!!
Thank you for being friends and examples to me and my family. Friends and family are another indication of my Saviors love for me and I hope you can see His love for you in your lives.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
