I know, Its been almost a year.

Well, I am busy.
Which is exactly why I feel the need to make this post.

Sometimes I just feel like life lessons should be taught and given more attention in high school or middle school, or maybe I just should have listened more to my parents when they were talking during those years. I dont really know... (mom this might get good keep reading)

Working a full time job, being a mom, and trying to get an education is hard.
no.
It is soooooooo Hard.
Safe to say it is the Hardest challenge of my life thus far.

I was the biggest complainer when it came to doing school work... (kind of like now.) If only I knew how much easier it was when school was the only thing I had.

Dear single, married or people just starting college,
Finish your degree before you have kids. It is not just a little harder. It's WAY harder. WAY WAY WAY WAY harder. So much harder. Dont tell your self it wont be that big of a deal... other people do it, you can do it too. FINISH school first. Its so hard to have babies and be a student.
Love,
Suzie.. wife, Mother of two, Full time Employee @ WGU, Business Owner, Friend, Daughter.

Dear Students with Kids,
You rock. I DO know how you do it... you work your A** off. You stay up late at night, you miss out on date nights, you sit at your computer all day, you stay inside to study even when its sunny outside, you prioritize and focus on only what is important, you dont get to watch entire seasons of your favorite tv show, you pay babysitters just so you can have some study time, you miss your spouse, you miss your kids, you miss dinner, you learn to study while watching princess movies, you dont throw pitty parties for your self and you just plain suck it up and do work.
I have crazy amounts of respect for people who get through this when they have kids. ( I also understand its hard even when you dont have kids) I hope to be a graduate one day.

Mom,
You are amazing. I think about what your life was like when you went back to school and finished your nursing degree and just wish I was half as amazing as you. You set a great example for me and now I know I have to do the same for my children. Thank you.

and finally...
Dear Me,
Dont quit. Suck it up. People already think your crazy so just keep on keepin on. Even if it takes you 5x longer than it should, don't quit. It will be worth it. Prioritize. Be patient. Get over the sacrifices because things like TV will be there when you are done. Just Do it haha
When you think about quitting, just remember what that says to your babies. That alone should be enough to motivate anyone.

with love,
Suzie

Nanny Whit

Today is a sad day for the Bishop kids. Our amazing nanny, "Nanny Whit", is leaving us. She has a new job and is moving forward on to another chapter in her life. We have known she is leaving for about 2 months, but that doesn't really make it better. We will miss her. She has been with us since Karlee was about 7months old. Do you know how long that is??? 32months. or somewhere around 960 days. Long enough for her to know everything you could possibly know about our family, my kids, our house whatever. She has stuck with us through some great times and some not so great times. She survived and stuck out me being pregnant with zane, and me working from home. She puts up with Allen and his "not so positive" morning attitudes. -Which have greatly improved over the years.. love you Allen. She has dealt with, pee, poop, throw up, the flu, croup, RSV, Pregnancy hormones, changing schedules, 2 year old tantrums, 3 year old tantrums, and just really every other issue a semi normal family has... and she did it well.

My kids have grown up with her. They love her just like she is family. She is our family. They talk about her every single day, and they look forward to seeing her. I cant remember a single day where Karlee wasn't excited to go to Whitney house, or to give her a great big hug in the morning when she got to our house. I do however remember when I had taught Karlee to say " I .... Love... Mom!" and a few days later, I tried to get Karlee to say it and found out whitney had taught her something else...she said ..." I ... Love... Whit eeee....!haha

I know this wont be the last of Whitney around our house. Im sure we will be calling her weekly, and having her over every once and a while to babysit on weekends, but we will for sure miss her while we learn our new day to day routine without her.

Good Luck on your new adventures Whit, Thanks for all the great days and thanks for loving my babies.

shhhmmmshhhmm

shhmmmshhhmmm is how i feel today.  Im not really sure what it means, just blah.  I feel like I have been on an adrenaline rush for days, but at the same time I am trying to slow my self down and just take things as they come.  I have some exciting things going on, but I am so nervous to put my self out there.  I dont like to fail, and I dont take constructive criticism very well.  Im pretty lucky to have a husband who supports me in everything I do.  Not only does he support me, he treats me like I am amazing and he believes in me.  I love him.  I guess I have some decisions to make about where to go from here but no matter what happens I know things will be great because I have a great family behind me.

Karlee turned 3!

My baby girl is 3.  She is my favorite 3 year old.  She is so sweet and so kind.  She is also, so 3.

She is quite the manipulator, and the queen of stalling.  She will come up with 30 reason why she cant do something like go to bed, take a nap or eat her dinner.  She is thirsty, needs to go potty, her mouth is too cold for hot dinner, her eyes are too tired to look at her food.  She need to sing a song, she needs a hug.  The girl knows every excuse in the book.  I have NO IDEA where she gets it from.  haha that is a lie.  She gets it from her mama.  I am the first queen of excuses.

She has also learned things like spitting, throwing things, taking off her shoes where ever we go, yesterday she took off her pants while we were out to dinner.  She says things like, mom dont throw me down, if I try to hold her hand, or mom, dont hit me, if I try to pick her up.  She is so much like me its scary.

When she gets nervous, she always says, Mom, I need hugs.  I love her.  She tells me, oh mom, this is going to be good, when she is excited about something.  She knows she had a birthday, and she still keeps saying when asked how old she is.... Im going to be three.
She corrects people when they say the yellow fish... no thats a tang, and the pink one is anthius.

She looks after Zane.  If he is getting into trouble she come and finds an adult and says, hey.. wheres zane?  which means, zane is doing something he shouldnt and i saw but i am not going to be the one to tell on him.
She doesnt like to leave the house until she knows Zane is coming with.
Every saturday morning she asks her daddy to snuggle with her on the couch while they sleep and watch cartoons.  Its cute so that helps that allen spends the morning sleeping.  He gets a pass.  She loves to snuggle with Allen and watch the fish at night too.

For her birthday we had a back yard party with all the cousins.  Allen built a new playground and they all came over to play on it.  There were several crash's and a few bumps, but Briggs got the worst of it with a door handle to the eyebrow and a trip to the emergency room.  (he didnt end up needing stitches but it was a bad one.)  Jen made Karlee's adorable Toy story cake.  We all loved it.  Especially Karlee.   Girl just loves CAKE.

She got a new helmet for her bike, some barbies, a couple new swim suits and tons of other great stuff.  She is spoiled and i love her.  Happy birthday cake Karlee bug.
