saying good-bye!

Saying good-bye to our friends was hard on me but it's been hard on Danielle too.  These two girls have been  friends since they were one.  Haley moved to Utah so we will see her and her family again. That knowledge is what is holding us together right now.

Summer 2 months

At Summer's 2 month Dr. visit she weighed 11 lbs. 5 ounces and measures almost 23 inches.  She has gained 4 lbs. and grown almost 4 inches since her birth.  I must make some pretty good milk to be doing all that! She is smiling alot (sometimes I call her "smiley") and we are starting to have "conversations" with her.  She makes some really cute sounds and she is experimenting with her volume.  I can tell what cries mean what and she is such a good and happy baby.  We've had a few 8 hour nights but nothing we can count on happening on a nightly basis.  We still love having her here and she has made everyone a little more mellow!  I couldn't resist posting this picture of her sticking out her tongue, It's just so cute!  I'm really enjoying this stage, even more than the new newborn.

Summer's blessing Day!

What a beautiful day for a beautiful girl in a beautiful dress!
Grandma Becky and Summer!
My friend Melissa blessed their baby, Matthew the same day as Summer.  These babies are 6 days apart and I'm sure played together in heaven before they came.  They must have known their Mommies were such good friends.
Brent wouldn't let me have Summer for the picture...another moment where I realized how much he loves her!

End of school...2010

Danielle cooling off with a sno cone while showing off her only silly band at her end of year party.
Mrs Meck giving Danielle her "future therapist" award.  Danielle is always ready to listen and help.
Gabrielle, Hannah, & Lucy...best friends and they all get to go to the new school together next fall...yay!
Hannah and her 4th grade teacher, Mrs. Laabs.

Both girls got fantastic teachers this year.  Let's hope for the same next year!!!

This is what happens when I make my bed...

So... I broke my toe.  I stubbed my toe on my bed when I heard a "snap."   I looked down and my baby toe was sticking out sideways. It actually didn't hurt as much as I thought it would.  It was a clean break.  Dr. said just to tape it to the next toe for the next 4-6 weeks.  This picture was day two!
This is day four!  Now it hurts!!!!

Her first crush...

Danielle has a crush on her swim teacher, Ryan.  He is 18 and leaving on his mission next month.  She even asked him on a date to a concert series going on in our city and when that didn't work in her favor she asked if she could have a playdate with him sometime...I told her she could write to him on his mission and just maybe he might write back.  You should have seen the look on her face...

The CHAWEPP Family...

If you could pick a family for yourself would you?  Aside from my own family and the one I grew up with, I have another family.  After moving to Allen, Texas almost six years ago, this group of families came together..  As each family moved to the area we became closer and closer. We all met in one common place, something we all hold dear to our hearts and is very important in our lives, our church. My Mom always said that our sisters will be our very best friends.  This is sort of true.  I do love my sisters, don't get me wrong, but this group of ladies, though not related by blood, are my sisters and we have become best of friends.

The CHAWEPP kids!
(Cisneros, Hall, Alldredge, Wilson, Erickson, Pedersen, and Peterson)
And again, not related by blood, these kids truly are each others cousins.
This was the last time this family was able to get together before two of the families moved away.
Hopefully one day we will be able to have a Big Family Reunion.
