Happy Birthday Noah (He's 5!!!)

Yesterday was Noah's birthday and he turned 5! Crazy since it feels like we've had him only one year!!!!!

So yesterday we were reminiscing about the day he was born. We got out his baby pictures and told the story of Noah Seth Jones over and over!!! Afterwards we went to Chuck E Cheese and celebrated loudly with a few of his friends! Great fun!!!

So the story of Noah Seth Jones....

Well 5 years ago it went like this. I was induced at 7:00am. Pain, pain, pain, the day was growing long...not much happening so at 7:07pm I had a c-section! By that point I didn't care what they had to do to make the pain stop so I onboard with whatever. Although I had said my whole pregnancy that I didn't want to have a c-section and was pretty adamant about it! I even skipped the week of c-section talk at my pregnancy class since I wasn't going to have one!!! Surprise I had one!

So Noah Seth Jones was born at 7:07pm at Forest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. He weighed 6lbs. 6oz. and was 19 inches long. He was so cute and his hair was light brown with blonde highlights. Seriously! My mom said he looked like he had just gotten back from the Caribbeans! His eyes were blue and everyone said they would change (but they haven't!). He changed our world totally! :)

I love my little Noah...maybe we can figure out how to put the slow button on because these 5 years went way too fast!

Christmas Morning Smiles :)

Christmas was lots of fun this year with the kiddies! They were so cute with all the excitement and anticipation. Noah had such a hard time going to sleep Christmas Eve. He was just laying in the bed with his eyes closed and a big smile on his face!!! He just couldn't wait!!!

We had a really great Christmas and are so blessed to have such amazing kids! As you can tell we love them very much!!! I just can't imagine how dull my life would be without them...they had lots of spice and flavor to our lives! I'm so thankful for the family God has blessed me with!

So enjoy the smiles....

The Making of The Gingerbread House!

We let the kids open a "gift" a little early. They were so excited to tear off the paper and even more excited to see candy, icing, and cookies inside!
This was mine & Jason's first year to ever do a Gingerbread House (in our life...just in case you didn't get that)! We had a great time as we spent the next 2 hours (yes you heard me right 2 HOURS) working on our house!!!! So there it is...the masterpiece...finished! We were so proud of our house! Then it was time to watch our movie (Fred Claus). As we were sitting there watching our movie we heard a loud noise. Apparently an Earthquake had struck the dining room where our Gingerbread house was drying. When we arrived one side of the roof and one wall had fallen off (glad I got my pictures first!). Since we had no homeowner's insurance we decided to go ahead and eat the fallen pieces.

Letter's To: SANTA

Today we sat down and wrote our letter's to Santa (very important business!). We then took them to the "special" mailbox for immediate delivery to the North Pole.

Noah's letter....

Dear Santa,
I have been good all the time. I am nice to my brother. I obey my mommy and daddy. Please bring me a Spiderman Bike and a Spiderman Helmet. I also would like a plane. I am almost 5 years old and I love going to school. Santa we will leave the front door unlocked and the reindeer can park in the grass. Please watch out for Snoopy & Charlie Brown. We will leave you some yummy cookies and milk. Please put the toys around the Christmas Tree.
Noah

Then Noah "helped" Ethan with his letter....

Dear Santa,
I am maybe good all the time. Sometimes I'm not nice but most of the time I am. I love my mommy, daddy, and brother very much. Santa please bring me a Wonder Pets Ball Pit. My brother, Noah, wrote all the instructions for getting in our house. I will try to leave you some cookies but I do love to eat them. I will try not to drink all the milk but I LOVE milk so it will be hard. Merry Christmas Santa.
Ethan Jones, 18 months old

Written with the help of my brother, Noah, almost 5 years old!

Time for special delivery...

What About This Tree Charlie Brown???

We loaded up in the big ol' truck today and drove out to the Christmas Tree Farm. I consider Jason's truck big cause my car is so little!! Anyway the farm was lots of fun. They had trees(duh!), hayride, apple cider, and cookies! Everything was free well except the trees!

The kids had way more fun than I thought they would. They ran up and down the aisle looking for the perfect tree. Of course to me they all looked like a Charlie Brown tree! I usually get a Douglas Fir tree so this was my first year to get a bushy Leland Cypress Tree! I made up a song for it...

Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree
How bushy are your branches
You look a little wild to me
Like you are so cra-zy!
Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree
How bushy are your branches!

Oh funny thing --- while we were on the hayride Noah was waving at people like he was in a parade! So silly...people got a kick out of it though. One man told him that he had the wave down! That is my Noah always the Entertainer!

Here are some pictures of the fun time we had picking our crazy looking tree...

Ethan's Move to a Toddler Bed

Ethan is 18 months old and under normal circumstances I would keep him in his baby bed until he was 2....but Ethan is not normal!!! :) It's been two weeks since we made the change and the story's we have!

The reason we made the switch...

Two days in a row Ethan got his chubby little legs stuck in the side of the bed. The first time I turned his leg and carefully got it out. The second day was awful. It was hung up on his knee cap and it took me what seemed like forever to get it out. I called Jason in panic mode I CAN'T GET HIS LEG OUT. Ethan is crying and shaking...Noah is crying and worried...I am thinking what am I going to do. Every way I turned it he would scream...I will stop with all the scary details...just know it was awful. That was it...baby bed turned to toddler bed!

Now some of the story's we have accumulated over the two weeks...
First night...Ethan got up and was walking around in circles down the hall saying ohh, ohh. Then he laid down in the hall with his blankie and went back to sleep.
Let me see we have seen him asleep under his bed and behind the door. We have woken up to the sound of him playing with his toys or the door stopper in our room. This morning he came to my bed with a car.

For the most part he is doing really great adjusting! Nothing has happened that was as scary as his leg being stuck...so were good!
