I SAW SATURN!!!

We finally figured out what was wrong with the telescope. Now it is fixed and...Holy Cow...SATURN HAS RINGS!!!!!! This is the best job ever. I'm probably going to dream about space tonight, which I really don't want to, but oh well. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to get this job! It's really cool to see the creations of Heavenly Father up close and personal and not just in pictures. Anyway, we also saw Venus, Arcturus, and some star that was part of the constellation Draco. It was really cool. Anyway, 6:45 comes way too early. See ya!

My First Night as a Telescope Operator

Tonight was my first night as a telescope operator. It was really cold (38 degrees). We were able to see Venus through the star finder, but when we looked through the lens we couldn't find it. Something is wrong with our telescope. Anyway. It was fun. I'm really tired right now, however, so I am going to bed. See ya!
