Bibs, Changing Mats and Swaddles

I made the following set for a friend for her baby shower a few months ago.

The materials are a beautiful candy striped flannelette material, the backing is an absorbent toweling and there is a woven waterproof lining. The baby wrap was extra large and was hand stamped with stars matching the colours of the material used for the bib and changing mat. The Baby Wrap was the second wrap that I hand stamped. I had a lot of fun and made lots of mess!

Let’s get this party started

For a long time I have been thinking about starting my own business. Ideas come and go but it was never the right time. I have two passions in my life, teaching and sewing. Sometimes the two meet, but often I have to choose between one or the other. Since the teaching has been put on hold, the sewing has been taking over.

I am scheduled to go back to work (teaching) next January. At the moment I am on maternity leave and whilst looking after a 10 month old is exhausting, I am finding myself starved of challenges. So, let’s get this party started.
