California Baby

If our little trip to Mesquite wasn't enough the next weekend we went to the Hair show in Long Beach! This was probably one of the most fun trips I've ever taken. After getting lost in the Ghetto and then staying in the Ghetto for three days..i would consider myself a street kid now! Just Kidding...i definitly learned that we take things for granted in good ol' Utah..however, it also kinda makes you wish we weren't so sheltered so that we didn't get such a culture shock when we visit these places.

Okay so at the start of our trip we were all gung ho chillin, ready to do the tourist thing...so I made Brooke stop in Baker so i could get i picture of the world's tallest thermometer...I know, I know i swore i would never be the type of person that stopped and took pictures of things like the worlds tallest thermometer..but in true tourist spirit I decided I'd better. And yes it actually tells what the temperature is! 

The next picture is of what I considered to be the biggest shock of all...you actually have to stop and get your car checked for fruit...you are not allowed to bring certain types of fruit into California...i thought that was bazar..who woulda thought?? Not me! So we then go to the beach..which was a little cold, but it makes sense cause it's by the water right? Well any way below are just some pics of us bein dumb at the beach...we went at night..and I sat my camera in the sand and pretty much broke my camera...yes i know a classic Alissa move. I loved California tho and i'm so glad a have friends like Brooke that are just as spontaneous and crazy as I am that she'll just pack up and head to Cali! I love ya Brookie Doo!

        

Mesquite Hairshow

So me and Brooke took a trip to the hair show in Mesquite and we had such i good time!! We learned  to swing dance with these guys here and we LOVED them they were so funny. We went with Brookes friend Shamra who is So Cute! i'm so glad i met her..we had a blast! The man me and Brooke are posing with was named Rick he was the sweetest old guy. I know you are all probably thinking what are you doing? But they weren't all old and perverted they were just old They reminded me of my grandpa!! We will definitly be making the Mesquite Hairshow a tradition. There's nothing like some good old fashioned girls night out on the town to really refresh ya and just give you that little mini vacation that you need!

Trip To St. George Pt 2.

Okay, so now that i've got a little more time, i'll tell you the rest of the story. So Brooke and I met and the Hair school and pretty much we had a blast, that was a reunion much needed, i didn't realize how much i missed Derk and Josh and Tom and Kath (my old bosses) till i got there.  I really missed Cedar, in a bad way. 

SOOO, on our way to Em's bridal shower me and Brooke were like Freak I miss Cedar so much! Let's move back, we really want to blah blah. Now this might sound a little impulsive, but we were VERY serious about it. So we called Karina who was not present at the time, but who also is VERY homesick for Cedar like we are and we were like Dude! Let's move back let's just do it, so we are. But not till may, it is official tho...that is the FINAL DECISION lol i know i've been very undecisive about where i've wanted to go, but Cedar just feels like home, and I get a really good feeling about it. I know that sounds cheesy but i do!

Now, about the bridal shower... it was a blast! We made this really NASTY present for Emilee.. Curtosey of Nat..lol which included a man sock and lube and words that rhyme and were just dirty...i felt kinda bad since we were in a church and all...but it's a bridal shower and that's how we roll! 

When we got there Nat and Charisse were there and Charisse's mom. It was so good to see all of them, I've missed them all so much. The picture i'm posting is Charisse, Brooke, Me, Nat and Em...i can't beleive they're all blonde again! I better get to work. I'm so glad that i got to see my girls again I love you all and have missed you so much! 

Brooke and Karon, I can't wait to move to Cedar we are gonna have a BLAST! We won't regret it i know it!!!

Trip To St. George

So this weekend i took a little trip to Emilee's bridal shower, on the way there i stopped to see my cousins in St. George, I got to hang out with Carter who is so freakin cute! we had such a fun time... he giggled and made me laugh so hard i about pee'd my pants. I can't beleive he is getting so big! I'll have to post pictures of the bridal shower later i'm still waiting on Nat to send them to me, but it was a blast and i realized that i missed Cedar SOOOO much and i'm ready to go back!!

So mostly i'm i little stumped about my life, because it's going to cost 310 dollars to take nevada's hair test which i'm not sure i'll pass, plus my polygamist friend morgan moved back to town and i'm secretly thinking of joining her clan...okay not really...from hair test on i was lying. But me and morgan are quite bored and i'm not at work right now and i'm trying to convince her blogging is way better that effing face book. Mostly i'm just jealous she is smart enough to figure le facebook out and i'm NOT.

Let's play Catch Up

Okay, so i really really SUCK at this whole blogging thing, because i never have time to do it! It feels like i'm ALWAYS working. Literally. Well anyway, I'm going to try and catch everyone up on what's been going on besides running from the Salon to Harts and back again! 

I'm currently working on getting my Nevada hair license and i'm gonna take a shot out of the state of Utah and see just how good I really am. lol I'm going to be living with one of my bestest friends Karina...that should be a blast! We were room mates in Cedar City and LOVED every minute of it...even the parts involved missing panties! lol I won't be moving until after the holidays...because why would i do that? I love being home, but i also love VISITING home, and now that Adrey has moved out is is apparant what a loser i really am! lol 

I just got back from a road trip to Wyoming with my best friend Morgan...and let me tell you...WYOMING SUCKS...now i know what the saying "behind every tree in wyoming is a pretty girl" means, because there are no trees. No, really we had a fun time, it was her mom's birthday and we had a surprise party for her and we pulled it off very well i think.  Her little brother Preston showed me the Ghetto of Rock Springs or the Ghetto within the Ghetto as i like to call it and it was really scary...it definitly made me miss Emery County a little.

My very dear friend Emilee Ann Truman is getting married in December and i get to be in her line, which i am SO excited about because i miss her dearly, and i'm so so happy for her. It will be a much needed hair school reunion i think! 

Well other than that i can't think of much that has happened to me, i'm going to try and be better at this whole blogging thing, so i don't have to catch you up on my life two months at a time!

I'm official

Okay, so it's official i'm a blogger...and i never thought i would be because like Emilee i thought that blogging was just for married people, but since Myspace is just a little to weird for me i've decided to enter into the world of blogging. So let me start by telling everyone what i've been up to.  I finished hair school which was one of the happiest and saddest days of my life, i miss all the girls SO MUCH but i'm so glad to be done. I've moved home and i work two jobs, i do hair all day at Hair Ease Salon and i work with awesome girls there and then i work at Harts at night. I'm just trying to save money so i can move outta this little town and have an adventure!
