week of miracles!!!!!

seriously!!! i love it!!! so on Christmas Eve we got a call from a member in Brandon ( who both sis broderick and i know) saying there is a lady who lives in winnipeg who is a friend with her daughter. this lady lost her daughter and then a year later lost her husband and it would be nice if she had company around the holiday season. so we put together some Christmas goodies and took them to her. since then we have meet with her (terri is her name) and we have been able to teach her a lot about the gospel. terri is hard of hearing but its easy to communicate with her b.c she reads lips really well. so this sunday was her first time to church. b/c she isnt a young single adult she went to a family ward. and in this ward they have 2 or 3 deaf people and at least 5 sign students. so the whole time she was in sacrament meeting they were interpreting and she got to see. then a deaf member teaches a sign gospel principal class!!!!! ahhhhh!!!! the other day she was telling us how on Christmas Eve she was just sitting around kinda sad thinking about how all her family is away and how she has 4 brothers but no sisters and how she wishes she had sisters. then we knocked on her door. and she said...."then i got 3 sisters" :) Heavenly Father is very aware of ALL of His children. i know He has been preparing terri for this step in her life!!!! im am sooo happy and grateful to be apart of her life!!!
its cold yeah....nothing new haha...not too bad though. its only been minus 16 or so. (with windchill) i have definitely gotten used to it...kinda....some days. ive learned that if im hungry then im more cold. but being in ysa im always hungry!! we never have supper appt hah. thats ok. we're learning different ways to make a quasidilla!! haha
i love you all and thank you for all you do for me!!! stay warm!!

happy new year!!!!

wow!!!! 2011!!!!! thats crazy!!! for new years we went to the church and played some fun games. then we were in bed by 1030! haha i remember thinking last year that its going to stink having to go to bed so early for new years but....i love it!!!! sleep time is precious time out here!! :) that day we were all out of Kilometers so we had to walk everywhere. it just happen to be the day that is was -35C outside. thats -31F. so we walked up and down Pembina which is the main st right outside our apt. we found 6 potentials. since we only teach young females who arnt married we had to turn them over to the elders and from those 6 there are now 2 investigating and one of them has 2 friends now learning. i love this work!!!! so 4 people are now learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ b/c we decided to work when we could have chickened out and just stayed in. i know that the Lord kept us warm so we could find such great people!!! its a beautiful thing to see the Lords hand in everything we do!!
the new sister, sister smith is amazing!!!! i feel like shes been out forever so we dont have to train her. haha its way fun being in a tri!!!
this Saturday we get to meet with Elder Smith from the 70. its a special missionary meeting. im excited for that.
i love you all. i know this gospel is true and it is the gospel of Jesus Christ. it has been restored to its fullness by a loving God through a living prophet!!

She's on FIRE!

Tasha here. For anyone wondering how the amazing Sister Crozier is doing, she couldn't be better. She wasn't able to send a letter this week due to the libraries being closed for the holidays. We did, however, get to speak with her on Christmas day! She sounds SO good and is LOVING her mission. It was so refreshing to listen to her voice and hear her conviction of the gospel through everything she said. She has absolutely loved the people she has been serving and never wants to leave. She loves teaching people that it's never too late to repent, that our Heavenly Father is a loving God and wants the best for each of His children. Nine months down and nine months to go, but who's really counting? Alicia is now serving as a trainer, which she finds as a very rewarding and humbling experience. I know Alicia loves the gospel with all of her heart and loves serving the Lord. It was very tender to hear her speak of those she had to leave in her last area, with her voice choked up with emotion. She is amazing, and I know she's doing the Lord's work. I can't think of a better person to be out humbling loving and serving the Lord's chosen children of Winnipeg. Hope you are all had a very Merry Christmas and enjoy the New Year. Until next week...

this week hasnt been too cold. ive learned the hard way that if your toes are wet, they freeze...haha yup....solving that one pretty fast!!!! :) we are still meeting with Joyce. she is great!!!! she was a lot of questions and concerns. but thats great b/c thats what we do. we help her solve those out!!! :) i am really gonna miss her!!!! then we are also teaching a filippino family. they are great!!! the last lesson was about the sabbath day the spirit was really Strong and they were able to recognize that, and they are coming to church on sunday. its amazing what the spirit does when it is in someones home. the spirit is the #1 thing we should strive to have in our lives. im sad i wont be there for their first time at church but they are in good hands!!! :)

The love of God is real. I feel and see it everyday!!! I am sooo grateful for it!!! :) i love you all and i thank you for your love, support and prayers.
