tri-nomite!!!!!!

haha i love being with these 2 sisters!!!! the other day sister smith was just quiet in the back seat and all of a sudden she was like...."hey!! we're tri-nomite!!!" sister reid and i just started cracking up!!!! hahah we really have experienced a lot in these 3 weeks and it has really made us depend on each other and on the Lord together. im gonna be very very sad when we have to say goodbye to each other. :(

we have been blessed sooo much this week. we have seen many many many miracles and have been able to teach a lot of ppl about the restored gospel!!! its amazing!!! we have found a family and two ysa people to learn making it a total of 8 new investigators! ahhhhh!!! blessings!!! in Alma 16:16 it says how the Lord has prepared the people they are teaching. i feel that exact way!!! i know the Lord prepared ppl, you just need to find them!!! we have been praying a lot more lately keeping Heavenly Father involved with everything. all the heartbreaks (and there have been many the past two weeks) and all the miracles, which there also have been a lot of. this has really made a difference in the work. :) pray ALWAYS!!!

so...the best part about the week....well one of the best is... a man named marson was baptised. not not to long ago i wrote about how we went out when it was -35 and we talked to a a lot of ppl. and how one of those ppl is now learning. well, now he is baptised. he is from india and he has come such a long way!! he is such a great man!!! i am sooo excited for him and where he is going!! ah!! it was the best!

so, funny story. the other day me and sister smith were on splits with sister winnerlind. we were street contacting and i approached this lady and as soon as i started talking to her she puts her arm up and really loudly says "SHUT UP!!!!". i didnt think much about it b.c it happens. we keep walking and i look over at sweet sister smith. she is almost in tears and she says to me...."what if someone said that to her daughter" hahaah it was the most tender thing in the world!!! hahahaah sooo sweet!!!

i love it out here!!! its the best and its not all that cold today, even though i like the cold ones!!! :) love you all

blessings!!!!!

wow!!!!! i cant even begin to explain how blessed we have been this week!!! We have been able to find 6 new investigators and being in ysa its a miracle that 5 of them are actually for us!!!! its the best!!! and to top it all off...all but one is African!!!!! i have missed teaching Africans and i love being able to teach them again!!!

its been a really humbling week though. we have been remembering after every appointment and after every finding opportunity to pray and thank Heavenly Father for the blessings. And i love how even though we have been blessed sooo much we still face challenges. just last night we went to an appointment where we were greeted in a not so friendly manner. the friend of out investigators just wanted to argue. it was hard for some of us, but we (sis Reid and Smith) talked about it afterward and we came to realize that we we needed that. that even though we were in the process of being humble we need to continue to be humble and and just to still completely rely on Heavenly Father. It was a blessing in disguise!!! one of my FAVORITE things that happened this week is in our first appointment with one of the african families. its 3 sisters one is older and then two younger ones (28 then 17 and 19) we were ending up and telling them about the book of Mormon and how it helps us understand the bible and how it is more words from God. then the 19 yr old said...well we already have the bible we dont need the book of mormon. then outta nowhere the oldest sister says, "NO! you dont understand!!!! everyone has the bible!!! everyone can read it and understand differently. but God and Jesus came to joseph smith and he asked them what what the truth. and They gave him this book (at this point she has grabbed my book of mormon and is holding it up)... this book is the truth!!! it explains the bible so we are not confused!!! now with this book we have all of the truth!!!" we were all sooo dumb founded!!! we were just like uhhhhh....mouths open!!! hahah it was sooooo good!!!! the sister at that point was like..."ok...welll maybe you can come again and explain it all to us." haha yeah we will!!! we went again and they said after reading more about it and in it they understand better!!!! oh man i love them!!!! their names are angel amy and elizabeth. i cant wait to continue teaching them more. i love my companions!!! we all work together great! and we all hold each other together too. not one of us is exactly alike but we make up for each other. we know how to have fun but also and mainly how to get to work!!! i couldnt have asked to be with two sisters then these two!! i just love them!!!! the temp is pretty good night now!!! it keeps warming up then getting cold then warm then cold. i like it but i am soooo excited for the summer!!!! the summers here are beautiful!!!! ahh i love them!!

well family i love you and you all are always in my thoughts and in my prayers. this week look for something each day to serve someone you haven't yet. hm...just something to think about!! :) love you all!!!

happy V day!!!!

well yet another week!!!! its soooo nice outside right now!!!! the temp is only 4 C. things are melting and its just beautiful!!! i dont know how much longer it will last but im hoping we'll have early spring!!!! :) i love it!! i heard they have sooooo much snow this year that the river is going to flood. i dont know what that means exactly but i think it sounds pretty neat! :)

so some exciting stuff has happened! i found out not too long ago that they are possibly reopening brandon to sisters!!! oh man i would LOVE that!!!! i wanna go back to brandon sooooo bad!!!! im the only sis out right now who even knows brandon!!! oh the blessings but we'll see! :)

neat story....we were just about done for the day and our last appt lunched us, or they wernt there for the appt. so we had it planned to go finding on this busy street. well all 3 of us were just feeling pretty bad. we all are kinda coming donw with a cold. but we decided just to finish it out strong. within 10 min on this street we met a man named adrian. he ended up telling us how he has been searching and he needs guidance! BINGO! well long story short, he is now learning from the elders and hes great!!!! i love it!!!! the Lord blesses us when we are obedient!!!!!! :)

it's getting warmer....yeah right!

so today is pretty cold, windchill -29. but the past two days have been BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! only 2 or 3 degrees. everything was melting...but then it froze again. and now its slippery.....and yes ive fallen a couple times. haha its always a fun one! :) i miss the look of the snow on the trees...weird huh?

so transfers have happened and i am in yet another tri!! haha i love it! sister reid (our new addition) is HILARIOUS!!!!! she is always writing songs and singing, and she sings alto way good and so we sound pretty good when we sing together haha love it! :) shes always laughing, which means we're always laughing! she has been out one transfer longer then me so its kinda fun being with someone around the same mission age. haha its good

so it was supper hard to say goodbye to the sisters on thurs night!!! man i miss those girls sooo much!!! but during the day we were able to get all the sisters in the whole mission together and it was a blast!!! oh man!!! no wonder we're separated!!! we would be too crazy!!! sis horning and i (only meeting each other twice) had a nice wrestling match!!! haha shes a tough little wiggle worm. i got a nice big bruise on my knee and some rug burn but it was worth it!!! sooo fun!!! :)

transfer weeks are always hard, but we made up for it!!! we had a whole day of finding on Saturday and boy did we find!!!! we counted well over 200 ppl who we talked to and we got over 30 potentials!!! yeah yeah!!! i love it!! we work pretty good together and im excited about this transfer!!! :)

so terri has a baptismal date. shes doing great!! she LOVES church and the ward is perfect for her!!! im soooo happy i have had the chance to work with terri!! shes one of Heavenly Fathers choice daughters!!! :)

lately ive been trying to take time to pray vocally. its hard when you live in a tiny apartment with two girls, but they know im trying and they understand haha. but it really is amazing the difference in the prayers. i love it! the spirit is a lot more evident and you avoid repetition. its amazing how much you can feel Gods love when you pray! He is aware of us and He wants to help us! i love this gospel and i love what it does for us!!! hope you all have a great week!! love you lots!
