Lila and Manel playing under the table.
We have been busy rolling out dough and making cookies. Lila does an excellent job at breaking the eggs. We have also become expert snickerdoodle makers. I roll the dough into balls and Lila loves to coat them in cinnamon and sugar.
It hasn’t snowed here yet, so it has been a long Autumn with lots of leaves and lots of time to take pictures in them. Here are just another few.
Little Lila on the run.
On a walk with daddy looking at the swans in the lake.
This is our yearly “Let’s all lay in the leaves and look at the sky” picture. We will have plenty more of these.
It has been over 13 years since I lost track with Ken and Rose Jones. Finally through Facebook we were able to hook up again and while Lila and I were out visiting Ken and Rose drove up from Colorado to visit. We were lucky to be able to spend the nice part of a Sunday afternoon eating burgers and chatting. It was like no time had passed. It was one of the highlights of my trip home this year.
Might I just add that Brandon’s kids were just adorable. They were so well mannered and fun to be around, and to top it off took great care of Lila. I have never heard her cry the way she did on the car ride home.
It was hard trying to get all six kids to stand still and look at the camera. I think Ken did a great job.
While I was cooking dinner the other night I let Lila paint by herself. This is what she ended up looking like in about 3 minutes time.
It is town festival time and finally there was something for little Lila to do. We have gone to all the events advertised for children but most of them were for older children. Finally we found the bubble festival and we thought she would love it. She really didn’t until the very end, and then she wanted crackers and cheese. When we got home she asked for more, bubbles. Too bad we only had more crackers and cheese.
Thank god it was hotter than hell out today and we all dried out in about 2 seconds flat. I think there should be a bubble festival for adults. It was a blast!!!!
I was trying to get a sliver out of Lila’s toe one night and I ran to the bathroom to get a band aid and carelessly left the tweezers on the bed. When I got back I found Lila with the tweezers having a hay day. I think she actually got it out!
We are not sure if it Giardia from the States or Giardia from the Valley but after going to the doctor we found that Lila in fact has Giardia. Hopefully the little buggers will die and die fast so we can continue our summer vacation. Here are some pictures of where she might have got her squatters.
We went on a hike and threw rocks and pinecones into the lake.
We saw plenty of wild horses that Lila just loved!
Here she is swimming with her tongue sticking out. A perfect place for a little parasite to make his entrance into his new home. I think Angel even tells her not to drink the water.
Lila is wading in the river a couple of weeks ago with Manel and Angel.
Lila and Austin are about 7 months apart and I think Lila just loved being with someone her age. Here are some cute photos.
I can’t wait to show them this picture when they are older.
It was so cute to hear the two of them talk together and communicate, even though the most common word heard was “mines”
I think it is the funniest thing to watch their little feet.
I just loved letting Lila run around and play with her cousins.
I swear I did do her hair….
Austin, Makelle and Daniel, just hanging out!
Porter, Makelle and myself.
