On Hold...for Now!

 I have been getting a few questions from followers wondering where I've gone, so I thought I'd do a quick update on things and let you know what's happening.

I am still here! I'm actively working my Stampin’ Up! business while also working full-time as a high school teacher. My day job has become far more challenging since Covid and is requiring significantly more time and energy, meaning I needed to make some decisions about what I could manage and what I couldn't. I did some analysis of my business, my social media platforms, web presence etc with the aim of streamlining how much time I spend posting online.  The result of my analysis was that this little blog needed to be put on the back-burner...for now! 

Most of my contacts and followers live on other social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, so that is where I am focusing my energy until I retire from teaching in June 2025. It is what I need to do to run my business and still have a time for the people in my life who matter most. 

So...I'm leaving my blog on hold for now...it will still live here, but I won't be posting until my life slows down a little...in June 2025. When I am able to focus all of my energy on my Stampin’ Up! business I will reevaluate. 

In the meantime, you can still see what I'm up to on my Facebook business page, YouTube channel and Instagram account. I'm posting there almost daily, so it is the best way to stay connected.

Inked Botanicals

 The Inked Botanicals suite is one that didn't really grab my attention when I first saw it in the 2023/24 Annual Catalogue. I thought it was pretty, but nothing special. Then, of course, I quickly changed my mind after spending some time creating with it. So many pretty possibilities! Check out some of the projects I created this week using this suite...

The first three cards use various ink techniques, including emboss resist, blurred watercolour and ink blending. The images in this stamp set really lend themselves well to various techniques and it was fun to get messy!

Masterfully Made

 Ahhh...finally...summer is here! The school year is over and I am officially on vacation! The best thing about summer is that I can put my full energy into my Stampin' Up! business without the worries of my day job spoiling my fun! 

I am kicking off summer playing with one of my favourite suites from the Annual Catalogue: Masterfully Made. I love everything about this suite, but the thing that grabbed my attention from the get-go was the fabulous Designer Paper. I have had so much fun playing with it and the coordinating stamps and dies this week! Check out some of my creations below:

Zoo Crew

 The Zoo Crew Suite was another must-have when I first made my new catalogue wish list. Who can resist adorable critters doing everything from knitting to unicycling to playing in a band?? There is truly something in this suite for every interest and age, making it super-versatile. This week I featured it on my social media feeds and even made a fun reel showing how to make three super-quick and easy cards using images from the Designer Paper. Check out the suite below:
