Keely was so good to help the Sam learn to drive their little 4-wheeler, he wanted nothing to do with it at first, but finally decided to give it a try and did great, even after hitting some rocks and ruts in the road, he just held on and kept going.

Some of the boys in their fancy cloths, all that I have to say is hardcore

Allen and Jen enjoying a little relaxation
This is Keely helping Garret learn to drive, He did great. Garret drove it before Sam did, and that is what made Sam say if Garret can do it so can I

Story
The last day of our trip was how the last day of most trips go. We loaded up the car to go home, but just before we left for home we all went to see Allen, Jen and Audrey one last time, they were staying at Jen's parents home just up the street from where we stayed. We had a nice little visit and off we went back to the hotel to get the last of our stuff, I thought that I would just wait in the car with the boys since it wouldn't take to much time for him to run in. Any way I am just waiting for Aaron to come out, and when he does he says that we need to unload everyone so that we could get one last picture, and if you know Aaron this is not normal, and so I tell him that we have enough pictures of the trip and that we do not need any more, but he continues to say that we need to get everyone in the picture and that he wants not only our boys to get out, but also Keely, Tom, Kody, Malia, Austin etc. so he is wanting everyone to get out of the car so we could get a picture, so I decided what the heck he wants a picture I will just do it, so I start to look through things in the car for the camera when I realized that I left the camera and Jen's parents house, ha ha ha everyone was in on the joke and thought that it was so funny. What really makes the story funny is that I am known for always having my camera on hand and I am always taking pictures with it, and during the Rogers family Christmas vacation to Mexico in 2005 I lost or left our new digital camera to be stolen at a restaurant, that I had just got for Christmas the year before, and we had not even made it to Mexico yet, so I was not able to take any pictures of that trip, and I was sick to my stomach and cried almost all of the last 2 hours of the drive down there. I know that this may sound silly, but it was so sad for me. I guess that it is true when they say, crises plus time equals laughter!!! I guess that I will always be the camera joke of the family

Recipe for Brownies

This is our faviorite recipe for brownies. Aaron's Mom made these for him growing up, and ever since we got the recipe it seems like we can't go very long with out making another pan full, because Sam is always asking for Mema's Brownies. Thanks Mema!!!

PS (they are not very healthy, but what brownies)

Brownies
2 Cubes Butter

2 Cups Sugar

2/3 Cup Cocoa

4 Eggs

1 1/2 Cups Flour

1 tsp. Vanilla

Melt butter and pour over the sugar in a mixing bowl and mix. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix. When adding the eggs add one at a time. Pour into 9x13 greased and floured pan ( I love the Baking Pam that has flour in it). Cook at 375 for 20-25 minutes. Put on wire rack and allow to cool for about 10 minutes, then frost.

Frosting

1/4 Cup Butter

2 Tbsp. Cocoa

3 Tbsp. Milk

1/2 tsp. vanilla

Melt butter in pan and add the rest of the ingredients. Pour over 1/2 lb. (2 cups) powdered sugar and mix.

Little G

Garret just a couple of weeks old

Garret has been a little challenging for Aaron and I at times since he has been born, but has become someone that I know that we couldn't do without. I have learned so much from him and I hope that I will always remember the things that I have learned. I can't believe how fast time goes by and that they grow up in what seems like just moments. I thought I would tell just a few things that Garret enjoys doing, he loves digging in our weed/flower bed, playing outside, , trying to be like his big brother, spending time with Grandparents and playing with balls . He is getting to be so much fun, I love being around him and it just doesn't seem like I can get enough of him. He is such a sweet little guy!

Sweet Aunt Mimie!!!

What a relief, I have finished one more semester, it seems like the last two weeks have been so crazy. I have taken the last couple of days trying to get my house cleaned and back in order. Now to what the post is really about, it is about the sweet sister that I have. My beautiful sister Kammie (aka Aunt Mimie) She has just finished her senior year of high school and her last high school tennis season. She has kindly agreed to come and stay with us for about six weeks this summer and watch and entertain my boys every Monday through Thursday morning so that I can finish two of my three class that I have left at SJCC, I am so excited to be done. I thought that I would be done this summer, but it look like I will have one more class that I will finish this fall. I know that it will not be easy for my sister, but I hope that one day I will be able to help her out and make up for her time spent. I have been taking 1 to 2 classes every semester since Sam was born and I am so excited to finish and just be a Mom. I will then have no more late night studying and morning movie time for the so that I can cram for the test that I didn't study for. It will be a late night because I choose to, or I can just go to bed when the boys do. I am hoping that as soon as I am done with this stage of schooling, and when I have free time between spending time with the boys, that I will be able to focus on some of my hobbies and work on becoming better at sign language.
