Farmers Market and Hanging with Maryn

All year Maryn and I had been talking about meeting up at the SCL farmers market. So we planned to meet up the weekend after my birthday and enjoy it.

We bought cherries, and kettle corn and salsa. Maryn even got me some hummus and we bought a loaf of cheddar jalapeƱo bread.

All that shopping and walking makes a girl tired so we stopped and rested in the shade for a little while.

Maryn took this one of Mirah.

After the Market we went over to see Cameron, Kelly, Sloan and baby Reese.
The kids are getting better at playing together. Which is good, because after being with little Reese I am determined to get together more.
Here he is.

Cam is such a sweet dad. I love to see him be such an attentive father.
It was time for Sloan to have a nap, so we said goodbye and headed south. We made a quick stop at IKEA and then back down to Orem for the evening.

Everyone had a bad nights sleep. Maryn too. She had come down to stay with us and woke up sick as a dog. She had planned to come to church with us, but decided to go home and rest instead.

Not before giving Mirah a little trim!

Post hair cut, pretty little girl.
She is playing doctor to all of her animals. They are each in their own bed.

Nice weekend. Even though we were all so tired.

My Birthday

It's was my brithday this week! Yeah,  I love my birthday. This was no exception. The day was just right.
We went to breakfast with Adam and Belle at Guru's.
Getting so puffy.
I had the eggs benny and of course the blue berry pancakes.
After breakfast Belle took Mirah for me and and I went and got my feet done.
Yeah, that's the stuff.
We met up for lunch at Inn and Out.
When I got home from lunch, there was this great card in the mail from my brother Cameron. My family is the best. They all called, sang and wished me a happy birthday.
I took a nap that afternoon, it was amazing.
Krysta came and woke me up. We sat and chatted and then she stayed with Mirah while Karl and I went out to dinner at my fave place:
Texas Road House.
Free App for my birthday. I would have gotten the onion blossom, but it would have had me up all night with acid refulx.
My constant craving in pregnancy:
Crunchy Salads.

Karl's Steak Salad.
Yes, I got the ribs. SO good.

This is where the pictures stop.
When we got home out house actually became filled with people.
The Whitmore's including Zac's sister Cassidy were there and they even brought good old Graham along! It was SO amazing to see him.

Then the Lund family was there too. Millie, Alice and Ivy had all made me gifts of necklaces made of dental floss and shells. SO CUTE.  Mary, made me a birthday cake. Home made from scratch. With home made cream cheese icing.

Belle and Adam where there of course. Belle had been showering me with little gifts all day. So sweet.

Nick came too, with the boys. Betsy had mutual that night.

Everyone stayed late, they sang me happy birthday. It was wonderful!

A wonderful full day. Thanks to everyone who made it so special.

Playing

So as I enter my last month of pregnancy, I feel like I need to try and keep busy. This week we had a play date every day. We went to the pool, the splash pads, had people over...lots of time in the sun.

Here we are at the splash pad a the riverwoods for the first time this summer. We met up with my buddy Claire and her two kids.
Mirah couldn't wait for their arrival to get in and get wet.
I got a new bigger hat to kid my white skin safe from the sun.
Let the waiting begin.

Father's Day

Lots of Fathers on Father's day
We got up and I made breakfast for the gang.
Waffles, and sausage and eggs with milk and juice.

We went to church, and took naps.

The Reddoch's came over for dinner and we had STEAK. I mean a lot of steak. Like this is the left overs:
This platter is about 16-20 inches in diameter.
The gang!!!
We had a huge pot of loaded mashed potatoes made by the lovely Betsy. Garlic bread, a big salad, watermelon, and steak I mentioned the steak right?
Some of us just had steak.

 For dessert:
pound cake, strawberries, and a mousy chocolate pudding.
Happy fathers day! Love you Dad. Love you Karl.

Weekend Away

For my birthday, our anniversary and for our baby moon we planned a little weekend in Salt Lake. Because I am SO pregnant and uncomfortable these days things needed to be simple an low key.
Jim and Lynnelle were so sweet and took Mirah for us for Friday night and the better part of Saturday. This is how we left them:
We made our way up to the city. We stayed in the Little America.
Our first stop was the hotel pool and hot tub!
Then out to the movies, to see the movie I had been waiting to see all year:
Jurassic World!!
The most magical part about this little stay away...sleeping in until almost 11 AM. It was pretty amazing.
We rolled out of bed and were off to another movie!
The hotel fountain on our way out.
We had the worst Indian food ever for lunch.
Karl's face says it all.

Then off to see Mad Max: Fury Road.
We were the only people in the Theater!
We loved the movie.
We stopped at IKEA for a few little things, and then hurried to University Mall to meet the gang at Inside Out. Jim, Lynnell, Betsy, Judah, Asher, Mirah Karl and I sat together. I cried for the LENGTH of the film.
Yes, we saw three movies in 2 days. It was pretty much all we could do.
A really nice time.
Thanks to Jim and Lynnelle for taking good care of Mirah for us while we were gone.
