Hi and thanks for stopping by! I'm such a lucky girl! I'm the guest designer at The Card Concept this month!! I love playing there and its a thrill to be featured there this month. They have such a talented line up of designers... I know .. gushing here... but so happy to be included in this line up!
If you're new to The Card Concept, here's how it works. They provide an inspiration photo as your starting point and you spin it into your particular style. They clearly define the different styles of their DT members so you can see their vision of the inspiration in all sorts of different styles like Clean and Simple, Shabby Chic, Clean and Graphic, Clean and Layered... you get the idea. My style is labeled "Freestyle Collage" meaning that I use seemingly "unrelated" elements in my design. Here's the inspiration photo this week - a colorful rainbow of crochet flowers (or do you see stars?) on a clean white background.
OK yes, for sure!! I see flowers! I started with an embossed white background, and added a fancy die cut doily. Next I layered on bright, colorful die cut flowers, a get well sentiment and a sprinkle of clear sequins!
I adhered some of the flowers with adhesive foam tape, left some flat, and and added a few button centers. I think this gives more dimension and the impression of added layers.
I hope you join me at The Card Concept for this fun colorful challenge! I can't wait to see your projects!!
