Welcome Ellis Grace

This is our sweet little girl...Ellis. She was born October 15th at 12:23pm at Banner Gateway in Gilbert. She weighed 7.2 and was 19.5 inches long. It is quit obvious that she has a ton of hair but what you can't really tell is that she has these beautiful deep blue eyes. You can see just how happy she is when you look into them.
She is a good baby!
The delivery was great and the recovery has been good too.
I have to express my great appreciation for my brother-in-law Jarred and my sister-in-law Koe! They did so much for us and I just love them so much! It took a great doctor, Dr. Gregory Layton, to help bring our little baby girl into this world and had my sister-in-law not talked me into making the long drive to see her doctor, we would still be waiting for our little Ellis Grace! So, everyone come by and see her!

Where do they come up with this stuff?

E: kicking my legs with both his feet
Me: Evann, don't kick my legs, it's not nice and it hurts
E: kicks my legs again
Me: Evann, I'm going to kick you back so you can see that it hurts, if you do it again
E: Then daddy will kick you and make you cry
Me: Speechless

Where do they get this and how did his little mind come up with something like that?

Light Parade

We had our Christmas light parade on Saturday!
It was a lot of fun.  I think I like it so much better
than Rex Allen Days!  We started a Drill team this
year and couldn't believe how many girls we got
and how much fun they have.  They do so good.
They have their own drill teacher and she actually
use to work in Safford!  That's right Bulldogs...once
a Cowboy ALWAYS a Cowboy!  JK

We got second place in the musical group category! Fun!

Evann had so much fun!  He rode in the truck
and waved to everyone.  These are my little girls, Zoe, Sidney, and Aidan!  Not pictured is little baby Brynn.  You know who my favorite boys in the world are...these are my favorite girls!  They are the future of Encore Dance Academy...look out!!!  Which one will be Evann's future prom date?
Laura's girls: Sidney and Zoe back
Katie's girls: Aidan and Brynn(in the warm truck)

Family Pictures 2008

We always try to do something creative and different each year with our family pictures.  We went to the dry lake and tried to be artistic...I think we did a pretty good job.  We are submitting the picture of Evann walking with the suitcase in the Art show in April.  Cool, huh. Enjoy!

Happy 7th Anniversary!

What began as a simple date and carving in a tree (A+J 4-EVR) turned into what we have today! This is why I love my high school sweetheart so much...

He values education and works very hard at his job. He's an awesome teacher! He has encouraged me and helped me with my decision to go back to school. He loves to dance...like swing dance! However, he does have some good moves. He use to sing to me all the time while we danced. I love to hear him sing. He even wrote a song for me called Beneath the Silent SkyHe loves going places. I'm a homebody but we always have a lot of fun wherever we go on an adventure. He's lots of fun. He'll even stay out with the girls! He drives an awesome truck! Hello! That's a given why I love him so much!I know this is weird, but he broke his ankle, the first bone ever to be broken in his body, playing with Evann! Yup, running through the house! That's a perfect example of how fun he is and what a good dad he is!Love it!
He is quit the handy man. He has done a lot of work on our house all by himself.

On a more serious note, he has always been a friend to me. He's the only one that has always supported me, understood me, and pushed me forward. We can talk and understand each other. He shared with me a special part of his life, the gospel, as a Senior in high school. I'm so grateful for his courage and testimony to do that for me. It's not an easy thing for anybody to do but he did that for me! Whether it was with him or not, he wanted me to be happy and he knew how to give that to me.

Of course, I can't forget this...without him I wouldn't have such a cute, fun, amazing little boy! He's such a fun dad and a great one too.
A lot of people think he's a serious person all the time. I think it's because it's a small town and he's a teacher and coach here in the community so he really doesn't show the other side to him. Those of you who have had the opportunity to know that other side, know what a great person Jonathan Leighton Truschke truly is!
Happy 7th Brat! I love you! You're the greatest and I appreciate everything that you do for me and Evann. Thanks for making me so happy despite all the hard times we've had lately.

Thank you!

I want to just thank everyone that emailed, posted, called, or just let me talk to them during all of this.  Koelyn, yes I called you Koelyn, having you to talk to until after 1:00 in the morning during the family reunion was the greatest thing ever. I love you and love the person you are! I have amazing friends, Katie, Dina, and Laura.  This experience has brought us so close.  Keeping busy together has helped a lot. Katie, thanks for just running errands with me when being at home wasn't easy. Brat, that would be Jonathan and that is our "pet" name for each other, it's weird and not loving to us if I said "Jonathan", I know it was hard for you to know how to handle me and some of the break downs, I did my best to hide them but it was so nice having you there when I couldn't.   Thank you for driving me to EAC! I love you and I'm thankful you're my eternal companion.
Jenny, my best friend, I know that we can only email each other but your support has always helped me.  Friends come and go but you've always been there. You're a true friend.
I spoke to friends that I haven't spoken to in years...Nadine and Rachelle.  It was so nice to feel that loving friendship again.
I know that the missing piece in my life doesn't compare to what Christina's family must feel and in no way am I presuming that I understand.  I almost feel selfish for thanking you for the support you gave me.

Ok, here it is. This is the addition we're adding to our house. We are almost doubling our square footage. Though the market hasn't been too good, Willcox hasn't been affected. So, it will be good for us. Jonathan has worked so hard all summer. Yes, we have been working on this for a long time but keep in mind we don't have a construction loan or labor to get it done in weeks! It's so nice having such a handy man!

Because I can't wait for FALL
Since I can't post new pics I thought I'd share some old. I have been trying to make our house smell like fall, I wish I could decorate the house for fall already, and I'm ready for the cool fall nights out at the football games. So, here are some pics from last year doing my favorite thing in October...picking pumpkins.

Welcome to Nashville!

Welcome to Nashville!

Who are we without Evann? Oh! Yeah! That's who we are!

That would be George Strait at the Opry Mills Mall

The one time it rained. The weather was beautiful.

The Aquarium restaurant in the Opry Mills Mall. Amazing.

The guy is real and cleaning the ginormous aquarium. I'm just so use to Disney magic!

Yes, of course you have to go to the Bass Pro Shop even in Nashville
