Brighton's Baptism March 17th, 2012 "I knew what I was doing was right because it's what Jesus did and I was following his example" - Brighton It was a crazy day, but still a very special day having Brighton baptized. We shared his baptism with another family in the ward and it was a pretty tight (and stressful) event. We didn't arrive early enough to get everything set up as far as the movie slideshow goes, and I forgot to attach the speakers until it was time to actually play the movie, and then we'd forgotten an extension cord and the speaker wire wasn't long enough to reach the wall outlet so the speaker had to sit on the floor between the 2nd and 3rd row, which probably wouldn't have stressed me out so much if the room hadn't been jam-packed with over 60+ people, over half of whom I didn't know. It was a cute slideshow, see for yourself (I cut out the pictures of the other child) I forgot our camera as well and really wanted to

Brighton Turns 8! Brighton turned 8 on March 9th. Do I really have an 8 year old? Jeesh! His birthday was on a Friday and we had his party the next day on Saturday. He had a party at our house with five of his friends. I made his cake after seeing it on Pinterest. It was so easy to make! Unfortunately I was one Kit Kat bar short (I thought 8 bars would do the trick, but it didn't) so the Kit Kats on the sides are spaced a little more than they were supposed to be. It didn't matter though, the boys couldn't have been happier to not only get cake and ice cream on their plates, but also Kit Kats and M&Ms! We wanted to have all the boys eating outside, but the breeze kept putting out our candles. We moved inside for the song and candle blowout, then moved back outside... After having cake and ice cream at our house, we (okay Justin) took the (now WIRED!) boys to Jumpstreet, an indoor trampoline park. After burning off all their energy, they came home and Brighton
Guess who is FOUR months old today? Our Miss Daisy is growing up so fast! I'm so much more aware of how fast it is going by as I try to sear these memories into my head in some effort to remember these sweet days when I no longer have a baby at home. Don't get me wrong, I think babies are hard and a lot of work and I don't get out of the house nearly as often as I want to, and I'm definitely not a baby person in general, but I am a MY BABY person. I love my little ones so much. I love that I'm ending my brood with such a sweet little girl like Daisy. She is so smiley, easy to please, easy to calm, and just EASY. The only thing she hates to do is sleep, and if I wasn't so determined to have her on a healthy sleep schedule we would probably have far fewer tantrums in that area as well. Even now she still wakes me up at least once a night. I put her to bed between 7:30-8pm and nurse her again between 10-11pm before I go to bed, and she typical wakes up between 4
