Daisy's baptism day

Today Daisy was baptized by her big brother Brighton. My mom and Adaira got to be the witnesses, grandma Joanna gave the talk on the Holy Ghost, and Dale gave the closing prayer (after Dad has to rush during the closing song to help him put back on his tie and button up his shirt. Brighton was the pianist except for Adaira who played "When I am Baptized" for a special musical number. (A set of twins from another family was also baptized and their kids sang and played the violin). Here is what she has to say about her special day: I felt happy and felt the Holy Ghost. The water was a little cold. At first I was nervous but now I'm happy. I was excited to be baptized and I want to be a kind member of the church. My dad, grandpa Dean and grandpa Dale, great Uncle Dale, uncles Trent, Dean, Don, Duane and David confirmed me. Dad blessed me to seek a testimony of Jesus Christ and of Joseph Smith. He asked her to find quiet times in her life away from screens and devices to be

Adaira, Brighton, and Dad went on another backpacking trip to West Clear Creek again but in a different spot. Dale skipped this one, and the Allreds and Rowes came again. They had such an amazing, tiring, annoying, painful, scary, and hilarious time.

Short Owens camping trip with some rain, quad rides, and a cave! Mom wanted to go camping so we hauled up the trailer to a spot by Happy Jack. Kinder Springs was blocked off due to forest fires so we had to find another spot. Adaira, Daisy, and Polly slept in a tent together and the boys did to. Mom and Dad got the trailer to themselves. We treated ourselves to some Nacho Libre (our camping movie) and spent the few days we had riding quads and exploring while enjoying the beautiful weather and rain.

Found this awesome uprooted tree by our campsite. Preparing for the rain!! Thunder clouds and loud booms were coming so we got the tarps and rain covers for the kids' tents and waited for the sprinkling to come. Luckily we didn't see any dangerous animals. On one quad ride Adaira took with Polly they say about 14 Antelopes on a shooting range a while away. She stopped the quad so it wouldn't scare them away but when they saw her and Polly they started to walk away. Polly enjoyed this little cave adventure! She kept asking for more and to go again. Mom decided to scare Dale at the end of the short tunnel. She growled super loud and it echoed throughout the cave and Dale screamed and yelled, "Aww cwap!" The classic entrance with tons of flies and gnats and cold water. After lots of tries with the flash we finally got a picture where we could see everyone, well, Polly is doing something in this one but at least we can see her. We took the tw
