The Inspection

This is the approval inspection. Both Harley and Sassy had to smell Audrey and check her out to make sure they approved.

The dogs are doing pretty well with Audrey.

Harley has become a permanent outside dog and does quite well with it. He is still a mamma's boy and is right there when I walk outside and is by my side. Baying at my feet.

Sassy "the other Princess", is still a Daddy's girl and wants his undivided attention. She is ok with the baby. When Audrey cries Sassy gets this annoyed look and stares at me. Like, can't you make it stop. I still love Sassy to death, but at times I think she is less than thrilled that there is yet another female getting dad's attention.

This morning he told Sassy that Audrey is his "Baby Girl" And now Sassy would be his "Big Girl", she tapped her tail over and over again. I guess she is ok with that. It is funny because when Brent is getting ready for work Sassy will stick her nose out of her blankets (many of them) and wag her tail against the wall or on the floor. Audrey also wakes and watches her Daddy get ready with big eyes. And today she smiled at him when he kissed her goodbye. My how Brent is (still) loved by all the girls!!!!

Anyway I suppose I should get some work done or go start dinner. More to come later

This is one of my favorite pictures so far. Brent is reading Audrey her first book. "The Cat in The Hat, Comes Back" He was so expressive while reading it to her. She and the cat listened ever so intently. I thought it was quite funny and cute that the cat was listening to Brent read to Audrey.

The cat is also fascinated by Audrey moving her arms around and kicking and the noises she makes. He probably thinks she is some sort of toy. Until she cries. Then he comes and meows at my feet.

Recently Brent's mother "Grandma K" sent us a package with some of Brent's books from when he was a child. She also sent Audrey new Clifford books.

Reading to kids is so important. We love to read to Audrey. Hopefully she is have a great vocabulary and many other things from us reading to her at such a young age.

Thank Heaven for Little Girls

She is at it again, taking more pictures of me. My mom, that is what she likes to do. Says "I'm growing fast and that she needs to capture as much as she can!"

Welcome Our Little Princess

Audrey June, was born on September 20, 2005. She entered the world at 4:14 pm via Cesarean. Audrey weighed 7lbs 15 oz and was 20.3 inches long. She got her daddy's height!

We were so excited to have a healthy little girl. Daddy's comments were " Honey we have a cute baby and she has your nose!"

I was just thrilled to hold her in my arms. After two inductions and 2 1/2 days in the hospital.

What a blessing she is.

After getting to see her and briefly hold her, Daddy took her to the Nursey for her first bath and general check up. This is where he got to meet her peditrician which he described as "HOT".

An hour later Audrey was brought to our room where she stayed the remainder of the time and we began our bonding experience.
