Santa Came to Town

It is amazing how different a holiday becomes when you have a child. We no longer could just run here and there and be everywhere. Everything had to be thought out around nap times and feedings and bed time. Most of all it made the holiday 100 times more fun, exciting, memorable, tiring, and GREAT!
Every year on christmas eve my hubby's family goes to breakfast and then bolwing. It is a lot of fun. They play a game where every time you get a strike you get a candy bar. After all the bars are gone you then get to take one from some one elses bag or bars. Lets just say that the first year I went the changed the rule to if I got a spare I got a bar. This year the rule was not changed and I left with out any candy I am not a bowler but I go to have fun with the family. The pictures below a my in-laws a breakfast and bowling. My hubby's little brother has been gone the last 2 years so it was fun to have him back for chirstmas.
That evening we headed over to my parent's house for our christmas party. Every year the little children put of a little program including the nativity. Little A was a sheep this year and he was so cute. I was so supprised that he left the outfit on the whole time. He just sat there on his hands and knees as if he was a sheep. It is great to take a little time and think about our Savior as a family during the christmas holiday.
Santa always makes a stop to the party to check in on the children. This year he even was checking on some of the bigger boys too. Great Grandma P. even sat on his lap. Little A was not too sure about the whole Santa thing. He was okay at first but as soon as I tried to put him down on his lap he started to cry. That is okay I think he will like him better next year.
Cousin R. was showing Santa how good he had been on the finger scale.
Little A first time experencing Santa.
Santa really wanted the brothers to sit on his lap together. I guess you never out grow loving Santa.
Santa gave Grandpa E. a remote for his TV that he was easily see the buttons. Little A loved opening gifts so much that he crawled right into his sack. He loved tearing the wraping paper on
the gifts.
Uncle L. was given pj pants that look like jeans. They were a gag gift but I think he liked them a little to much. All the little girls were given American Girl Dolls. They wanted to take a picture of them with Great Grandma P. Tonight he got cute pj from his grandma all the grandkids get them and wear them home from the party. I did not get a picture of it.
Lets just say the little A. Did every well this Christmas. Between Grandmas, Santa, mom & dad, and cousin gifts he will not need anything new until next year. You can see in the picture that he got a little of everything. Too bad that will not happen seeing that he turns 1 in feb.
Christmas morning Little A was so cute. we took him into the living room and he was so excited he was shaking and making this noise that ws so funny. He was willing to help my hubby and I open our gifts too. We opened Santa's gifts and then we went and sat by the tree to open Little A. gifts from his mom and dad.
Christmas afternoon we headed over to my in-laws. Little A's grandma and grandpa gave him that way cute sled that his is sitting in. We can not wait to take it out side and pull him around in it. I should be a fun time up at grandpa's ranch. As you can also see my Hubby and I did not do to bad either. We had a great Christmas. Sorry for the long post.

Christmas Outfit and Party.

On Sunday Little A. put his cute Christmas outfit that my mom bought him. It is a new church outfit so I thought he should wear it the Sunday before Christmas. He was feeling way cool in his new threads. That night we headed down to my aunt's house for the Christmas party. The bottom picture is of me, Little A. and my Grandma (my mom's mom). SHe gave him this truck that moves by itself once you give it a little push. Oh man he loves it. He will push it and then laugh and laugh. What a great way to start the Christmas season off.

Shinner

We have this little cute nativity set that Little People makes. We have it done low so Little A can play with it and our hopes were that he would leave the rest of the decorations alone and so far it has worked. The other day he was playing with it. it was all over the floor and he was standing up to the chair. he was waling holding on to the chair and triped and fell onto the manger. Well the manger won this time and Little A has a shinner on his eye just in time for the holidays.

Grad Pictures

Finally, here are some pictures from graduation. My camera and computer decided that they wanted to work together today and the picture uploaded. The picture below my DH is walking across the stage after having his name read. Sorry it is a little bad our camera is not great.
It snowed the whole day of graduation. There were not a whole lot of people out watching the students walk across campus but the picture shows a little bit of how the weather was. Little A had the cutest little Aggie shirt on to show his daddy how proud of him he was. The bottom right picture is my hubby with his parents and his little brother.
My hubby's mom made these way cute cookies with the "A" on them, since he is now a Aggie graduate. We have said since the day we bought our lot that when my hubby was done with school we would start to build our house. While he is done so for his gift I gave him power tools. Nothing litke tools to put a big smile on a mans face. My sister wanted to take our picture after the party we felt like we were at the prom with all the baloons as the back drop.

Thanks everyone for you love and support during school days and now that my hubby is done.

Shop til you Drop!

Today I made Little A go to a lot of different stores with me to prepare for the ward christmas party. We we finally arived home there was nothing we could do the was nice to wake him up. So we took his shoes off and he is sleeping in his clothes tonight.
In my last post I stated that I would love a big snow storm. While I guess I asked for it, it is a 90% chance of a big storm on Saturday. Saturday is when My hubby is Graduating for USU. Go Aggies. I guess we are going to get to stand out in the snow. Lesson learned do not ask for a big storm unless you have nothing planned for the weekend.

White Dusting

Monday it snowed, nothing like we are use to have like when I was a little girl. I did not have time to bundle Little A up before I went to work. I was hopping to take him out when we got home but it was all melted. None of the homes you see are mine but I thought the trees looks so awesome. I know most people do not want snow but I would love a great big storm.

Balloons & Treats

Two nights ago, we were eating dinner and Little A is a social eater so if we are eating he has to be eating even if he is not hungry. We were giving him these little treats that he loves. He was being so funny with them he would suck them in and out, stick them out and much more. A few times I was worried that he was going to choke.
Yesterday, Little A found the balloons I had bought my DH on his last day of class. It was so funny to watch him with them. He was attaching them and then he could not figure out how they were following him around the house. I was worried that one would pop and scare him. When the lady at the store was blowing them up one poped and it through him for a loop. I love how simple things entertain a child.

Elden Dattage Towing Christmas Party!

Every year for the last 25 years my Father's business has held their Christmas Party. The business was started the same year that I was born. My Parents both had great news for each other one day. My mom told my dad she was pregant and my dad told my mom and he wanted to start his own towing and auto body buiness. Little A came to the party for the first time so we had to take a picture of him with his grandparents.

My father has the most awesome secertary now. She is so cute with all the kids and she put ups with my dad and brothers every day. She deserves so type of a medal. In the picture (at the top now because I deleted it on accedient) she is leading all the children in a christmas song. Since the business has been open since 1983 she put a gift together dealing with things that were popular in 1983. It started with the movie "The Christmas Story", along with all the toys that were played and to top it all off a bebe gun for every family.

New things

So here is why I have not blogged for a while. Right after my last post our computer died. Yes it is dead. We are still trying to find a place to get it fixed, it was old but has a lot of files that we wanted on it. In the mean time we bought a new computer!!! Now it is set up and running so I want to catch everyone up.
We spent Thanksgiving with My husbands family. This was little A first Thanksgiving. That morning my husband put his socks on little A and he looked like a baby from the 80's. Little A and his cousins love playing together.
My mom bought Little A, this cute outfit. My family are big Denver fans and so we had to dress Little A that way too. You could tell that he thought that he was pretty cool.
My family always goes to the city shopping it is so much fun. The kids and the adults both get way excited for the trip. See my sister blog for more details.

Daddy and Little A.

Little A. loves to looks out the window in the Kitchen. I think it is becuase he is in the same room as me and we live on a street that a lot of cars drive on so he likes to looks at them. I tell my DH that Little A looks out the window to try to see his daddy come home. I think that it is so cute.
Once his daddy gets home he has homework. I try to intertain Little A, but at least once a night he get up and helps his daddy study. There will not be many more study days left. My DH only has 12 more days of classes until he is graduated, not that I am counting or anything. YEA!!!

That night he was transformed into a Cowboy. Suprisingly enought little A loved to wear his costume and drag his horse around. We had a trunk-or-treat the night before Halloween. So on Halloween we just went a saw the cousins and the grandparents.
Each cousin decided what they wanted to be and were so cute. My oldest nephew is 13 and is getting to old for the family so he is not in the picture becuase he was at a party.
My Dh and I decided to dress up too. I love dressing up but my DH is not a big fan of it.

Baby Shower and Pumpkin Walk

Last Saturday was my High School Best Friend Stephanie's baby shower. She is due Nov. 29 with a baby boy. I am so excited for her. She is going to be a great mom. The picture with the 3 has Angie, Steph and I in it. Angie is a childhood friend of Steph. Steph got a load a cute and fun new stuff for her new little one. He does not have a name yet but that is okay Little A did not have a name until we had him.
Later that day we went to the pumpkin walk. It was fun my sister and her family came with us too. The kids like it a lot. My sister's son is sooo cute with little A. We decided to take a little family picture too.
The kids all loved the painted picture that you could put your face in. I let them all choose which one they wanted thier picture in.
I love fall weather. It was such a nice day to be outside and playing around. Little A went down the slide at the park a few time with his cousins. I did not have my camera out at that time.

Disney Land

Last week was UEA so I did not have to teach on Thursday and Friday and the children did not have school either. So my whole family all decided to go to Disney Land, yes all 20 of us headed off the Cali. Some of the family left on Monday and went to Sea World, Wild Aminal Park, and Universal Studios too. This was the first time that Little A flew on an airplane. He was so good on the plane. The first set of pictures are of us on the way to the airport and at the airport.
Below are a sample of some of the pictures that we took at Disney Land. It also shows some of the things that we did. While we were at the park we split into 2 groups the older boys and the little girls with Little A. I was supprized how many rides little A was able to go on. I think that his fav was the winney the pooh ride. He also loved all the characters. He would get all excited at scream and bounce to try to get to them. All the little Girls would say that Splash Mt. was their fav. I think that they went on the ride like 7 times. We had a great time!!!
On the last day we decided to let the kids swim at the hotel and relax a little. They were all done walking. Little A. loves the water. That night my DH and I went out to eat and got Cheese Cake from the Cheese Cake Factory. It was really good. To not wake Little A. we had to eat all our Cheese Cake in the Bathroom of our Hotel room.

Ranch & Softball

Over conference weekend we went to my parents' ranch. It is always fun to be around the family. We celebrated my birthday while we were there. It was cute my sister put my brother L incharge of decorating. He hang streamers and then decorated me a birthday chair to sit in.
The last few months the boy in my family and some of the workers at my father's shop have been playing softball. They are okay. They usually win one and loose one each night. They play 2 pitch were your own pitcher pitches to you and you only get to pitches. Last week was the championship night. They lost in the first game, it was sad to see them loose so fast. They usually make it at least 2 or 3 games in to the play offs. It is fun to go and watch them play because we have the best group for fans at the park.

Way Cute Story!

My sister J little girl "T" did the cuttest thing. In her school class they get pionts for being good in class and so forth. While when they get 20 points they get to pick something out of the prize bin. While she told me she had seen a mini soccer ball in there and she knew the little a would love it so she was really good so she could win it for him and she did and she gave it to him today. I love how little A cousins all love him and think about he all the time. Thanks T we love you!

Pink Eye Again

Little A woke up on Saturday morning with pink eye again. It is in the other eye this time. We used the drops the full time last time and it still came back. We are using the drops again. Does anyone have any ideas that will help from the pink eye returning again. My sister's kids went through 3 or 4 cycles before it was gone.

This morning Little A. was playing with all his stuff animals in his bedroom. We decided to put him in the basket that we keep the animals in and then surrrounded Little A. with the stuff animals. He was loving it and the he reached for the camera case and fell over.

Pink Eye

Little A. has pink eye, most of his cousins on my side have had it so I was thinking that he would get it. He is on meds and can not give it to anyone anymore. The pictures really do not show his eye very well, but they made my eyes watter just looking at them.

On saturday the cousins headed down to "Build A Bear" many of the girls had gotten a a bear for thier b-days from grandma. They had a great time. They get to pick a bear, stuff it, put a heart in it, give it a bath, pick an outfit and dress it in the dressing room, then make it a birth certific. They had a great time. I was going to put the bouncy seat away because Little A. will not sit in it any more. Today little A. decided to use it in a different way by crawling over to it and pulling up to it. Then he started to knel up to it and play with it. It was so cute I had to take some pictures of it.

A Great Man

Last week my husband's Grandfather passed away. Last weekend we had the funeral for this great man. I did not want to post a whole lot of pictures because most of you do not know who he is but this man was an amazing person. He passed ways from health problems. He had 10 children, 51 grandchildren, and 52 great-grandchildren. Everyone the knew him would say that he loves all and was always willing to serve. The funeral was nice and it was great to see all of my husband's family. We all love him.

Johnson Family Cabin

Last weekend for Labor Day we went to the Johnson Family Cabin. It is about 3 hours away in Idaho. We always have a great time when we get there. While we were there the guys laid rock and put in a new fan for the old wood burning stove. They had to cut a hole in the roof. We were lucky that it did not rain that day since it rained ever other day. The top photo is my father-in-law on the roof of the cabin and the other picture is of my hubby and my brother-in-law laying hearth stone.
They are still finishing the cabin so some of the rooms do not have carpet so Little A did not get to play on the floor that much the close up picture is Little A. playing on a blanket. Without having carpet the floors are dirty so Little A. stayed in his PJ's so his clothes would stay clean. Little A. cousin and his dad decided to put him in the dolls strowler. All was fun until he broke the it and fell to the floor. He was not hurt just scared.

One evening we hiked down to the lake to fish. My husband is a big fisherman so I was feeling really cool when I caught 5 fish and my husband did not catch one at all. Little A. loved riding in his hiking pack. It was a good time but I am happy to be home. Little A did not sleep very well the whole time we were there.

On monday the girls and the kids headed into Jackson Hole Wy. It is about 45 minutes away. I do not take any picture becuase the camera was back at the cabin. We had fun and I bought Little A. the cutest hoodie.
