The innocents is one of the creepiest horror movies i had ever seen. its based on the novella The turn of the screw.ohh its so sad,i just like to weep and sobbing at the end of the story.just the way when we found out that Simon is dead at The Orphanage.just why would they made a children died?i cant bear it!what with the sad song O' Willow Waly played frequently and such a waste for a handsome boy to end up like that. Miles and Flora is sure a lot creepy and seems to keep a dark secret to each other.but such a way to end,ah i just cant agree at all.but of course i'm just one of the audients who watched the movie after 50 years its been aired.what a sad movie just like the Orphanage.when i searched the web about this movie,it did not go well when it first go to cinema.but since then, praises and critics are all over the film saying that its the best psychological thrillers ever made.the dark, atmospheric film using candles, music, white and black the movie itself emanating the silent horror.
i love the song though it sounds chilling and distant but haunted you.its the creepiest song i've ever heard.its written by Georges Auric and Paul Dehn and sung on the soundtrack by Isle Cameron
We lay my love and I beneath the weeping willow.
But now alone I lie and weep beside the tree.
Singing "Oh willow waly" by the tree that weeps with me.
Singing "Oh willow waly" till my lover return to me.
We lay my love and I beneath the weeping willow.
A broken heart have I. Oh willow I die, oh willow I die.
i also love the poem Miles recites at one night while holding a candle and wearing costumes.while reciting the poem suddenly the atmosphere seems different and its freaked me out too.the way he stares in the distant, right at the window and recites those scary poem about a master back from his grave.it gave anyone impression that the master he talks is about to appear this instance.scary!here
What shall I sing to my lord from my window?
What shall I sing for my lord will not stay?
What shall I sing for my lord will not listen?
Where shall I go when my lord is away?
Whom shall I love when the moon is arisen?
Gone is my lord and the grave is his prison.
What shall I say when my lord comes a calling?
What shall I say when he knocks on my door?
What shall I say when his feet enter softly?
Leaving the marks of his grave on my floor.
Enter my lord.
Come from your prison.
Come from your grave, for the moon is a risen.
Enter, my lord.
the creepiest kid though seems innocent.
