Summary of my 2 blank years

I've just realized that I didn't post anything since 2009. (Feel guilty and sorry for myself for not being persistence!) But tons has happened in this 2 years.

1) I moved to Big Apple a.k.a City That Never Sleeps.
I loved the dynamic of this city, the people, the convenience of getting just anything, the subway (I actually enjoy public transportation!) and most of all the diverse culture and food! I never stop digging jewels here, who knows, once in awhile we'll come across diamonds :p

2) I have been involved in a lot of baking this couple of years. (People around me are in the mist of begging me to stop! haha!)
I bake at least once every week to polish my skills. Need to post up recipes and photos. Usually I don't bake a recipe twice, so I really need to keep track of what I've baked.

3) I have a son that drives me nuts, but brought joy laughter at the same time :)
I've been reading a lot of pet care book, canine recipes, and training tips --- just for him.

4) Teaching (all most) full time in several music schools.
Great experience working with musicians around the world. Learnt a lot of administration skills of managing music schools. And oh, I am also taking up Dalcroze classes. Love the methodology behind this. (Music + Body)

That's about it, the summary of my life this 2 years.

P/s - Miss everyone back in Bolehland.. sob sob... Life is tough, home is always the best!

Vegetable orchestra

As musicians, we always face troubles in finding a good musical instruments.
Have you ever imagine choosing instruments can be like choosing vegetables? Yes, choosing vegetables. Check this out!

The Vegetable Orchestra performs music solely on instruments made of vegetables. Using carrot flutes, pumpkin basses, leek violins, leek-zucchini-vibrators, cucumberophones and celery bongos, the orchestra creates its own extraordinary and vegetable sound universe. The ensemble overcomes preserved and marinated sound conceptions or tirelessly re-stewed listening habits, putting its focus on expanding the variety of vegetable instruments, developing novel musical ideas and exploring fresh vegetable sound gardens.
