Good morning Mr Benjamin Tan, ladies and gentlemen.
Well, I believe that the school has already received feedback from many students and teachers that the student council has not been performing their duties well these few years. Every year during the Student Council Investiture, the students councillors upstage would pledge that they would uphold the school rules, be good role models inside and outside of school and also be the mediator between the teachers and students. However, throughout all these years I am in Anglican High, I have not seen anything constructive done by the councillors.
First, ROLE MODEL. Aren't the councillors supposed to obey the school rules? I believe that include the attire as well. I have seen many councillors, maybe even more than half of them wearing ankle socks, having drawstrings and some even with their shirts tucked out. I am also very sure that all of you have heard about their appalling behaviour outside school when the student council had their super duper often held camps. How different are they from normal students then?
Secondly, I feel that they are too protective of their red little ties so much so that they dare not voice out for the student body. Yes, they do plegde that they will year in year out. Councilors running for the President post all claim that they will too. But have they actually done so? NO is the obvious answer. What is the point of having the student council in the school then if they are not even doing the basic thing as being a mediator between the teachers and students.
I stand here today asking that the entire student council be removed since the student council is clearly redundant.

Michael Jackson is a musician in America. He has become so well-known that he became a global icon whose successful career and controversial personal life have been a part the pop music scene for almost 40 years. Jackson had an early career, he was part of the Jacksons 5 together with his brothers.He only released his first solo album at 1971. He is also known as the ‘King of Pop’.
Michael Jackson is well known for his complicated physical techniques, ‘moonwalk’ and ‘robot’ dance. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest entertainers and most popular recording artists in history, who has redefined mainstream dance and entertainment. He was different from the other musicians in his time. He was the first black entertainer to amass a strong following on MTV. In America, racism is a very common thing. Being a black, he was the underdog. However, he had the courage and the talent to change the status. He has been symbolically named the "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time" by Guinness World Records
The album that shot Jackson up to instant fame was ‘Off the Wall’. The album which was released in 1979 was a worldwide success story that made music history, becoming the first album ever to spawn four top-ten hits, including the number-one hits, "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" and "Rock with You". It reached #3 in the Billboard album charts, spending 48 consecutive weeks inside the Top 20. You see, not many artistes were capable of doing something as impressive as what he did, not even artistes thesedays. However, ‘moonwalking’ was the one particular thing that I feel played the biggest role in building his fame. Jackson came out with the name "moonwalk" and made it one of the most recognizable dance moves in history. ‘Moonwalk’ also became his signature move. People at that time idolised him and followed what he wore. The ‘Thriller’ jacket was eagerly spotted by teenagers.
Jackson’s physical appearance now has a tremendous change compared to his younger days, His skin colour used to be brown but it had been becoming paler gradually since 1982. I think he is crazy to actually spend so much money, going through all the surguries just to look like a white. In fact, I thought his appearance became worse after the surguries. Having experienced a bad childhood, Jackson’s love for children became a psychotic issue.he became a paedophile. In 2003, he was charged with seven counts of child molestation and two counts of administering an intoxicating agent in order to commit that felony, all regarding the same boy.

The entire pop music scene was transformed when Jackson dominated it during the 1980. His distinctive style, moves, and vocals have inspired, influenced, and spawned a whole generation of hip hop, pop, and R&B artists. I feel that only a genius would have such a big impact on the music history, and that is Michael Jackson.

My MusicBasically, I am fine all kinds of music except metal rock and of course techno. I think techno is extremely noisy and I cannot make anything out of techno music at all. Well, just take it as I do not know how to appreciate it. My family did not bring me up in a way that allows me to actually appreciate metal rock when I was younger. My mother does not allow me to listen to me so yes, I did not develop an interest in it. Also, I think it is very vulgar and yes, it drives me nuts. It is like when I listen to it, I will have this horrible headache.
I think music is really amazing. It is really cool how a song can actually get stuck in your head and keeps on playing on its own inside. I have been listening to some christian songs lately and yes, those songs have been playing in my head. I think music is a form of expression; how I feel as well. Those christian songs allow me to worship and praise my God, and that is what I like to do.
As for the worldly songs, I like old love songs. =)
These songs are able to make me think as well as relax. They kind of work both ways. They are my all time favourites.
