For our lunch, we managed to source for one of the famous pho in HCMC. It was located right beside the Ben That Market. The noodles is delicious! Is definitely a must try!

Chicken Noodles With Lime Juice

After lunch, we walked around the city and spotted MOF. We decided to take a rest and do some surfing. Guess what he was surfing for. A big supermarket in HCMC. We needed to stock up our food for our supper! Instant noodles, drinks, tidbits..

HCMC Day 3 Part I \\ Cu Chi Tunnel

Booked our tickets to Cu Chi Tunnel on the previous day. Woke up as early as 0800hrs to get ready. Took our tour bus from hotel to Cu Chi. The whole ride was around 2hrs. We slept our way there. Upon arrival, we immediately bought mosquito repellent! A must buy! Thanks to the auntie who reminded us yesterday. Else mossies will be feeding on our blood. The best experience was crawling through the human size tunnel.

HCMC Day 2 Part III \\ Water Puppet Show And River Dining

We got ourselves packed with 2 activities this evening. We watched the very famous puppet show though we cant really make out what are they saying. I would say the effects and actions are good! Worth to watch if you visit HCMC. After which, we head for our river dining for an hr. Enjoying the night view of Saigon on the river with our not so good 5 course dinner.

HCMC Day 2 Part II \\ More Shopping And Drip Coffee

At around 1200 noon, we headed down to another shopping heaven which is known as Saigon Square with lots of imitation from bags to clothes. After which we make our way back to the city for the 2 landmarks below.

Saigon Central Post Office

Back view Of Notre Dame Cathedral

We shopped around Diamond Plaza but ended buying nothing. As the clothes are as expensive as those found in SG. At 1500, we decided to take a rest at nice coffee place behind Diamond Plaza. This marks the first time we had our drip coffee. Hmm, he got a little impatient while waiting for the coffee to be done. But I would say the coffee tastes really good !

Good things are worth waiting for isn't it?

HCMC Day 2 Part I \\ Ben Thanh Market

Merry merry xmas! Dragged ourselves out of the bed at 0900 to get ready for the itinerary of TODAY: Shopping! We cabbed down to Ben That Market and was also our first time flagging a cab at HCMC. We were surprised but the ever slow jumping meter. How we wish SG taxi meter is the same too!

HCMC Day 1 \\ Hotel Check In And Xmas Eve Dinner

We are flying off! Reached Budget Terminal at around 1430 after our half day at work. Checked in our luggages and had our first experience with Tiger airways! Not too bad.
Note: Remember to book the seat 13 for more leg space.

After an hr of flight, we reached HCMC at around 1730. Quickly get our USD changed to VND. Hailed for a cab (bargain to a price of 10USD) to our hotel. We reached our hotel at ard 1900hrs. We are super glad to be greeted with such a big comfy room!

Nice Toilet

We decided to walk to our dinner place as it was XMAS eve. To experience their festive mood. But I feel is experience their bad traffic more than mood. Walked past the Notre Dame Cathedral, slowly make our way there through the crowds celebrating XMAS!

Notre Dame Cathedral

We finally reached the roof top BBQ place known as Quán Nướng Barbecue Garden. Feeling very satisfied with the bbq dinner. Each of us paid around 15 bucks! Cheap!

Ended our Xmas eve dinner with a SG$10 chocolate foudane at a very nice ice-cream place right below the bbq place. At 2200, we "risked" our life back to our hotel cos the traffic is really very bad on the Xmas eve.

Fanny's Ice Cream

And we snooze off at 2300. Cant wait for Xmas to come. Merry Xmas,Everyone..
