![]() Watched Hairspray recently with Douglas. It's a damn freaking good musical movie! All the songs, all the dancing, all were great!! Great acting from all the actors and actresses, especially John Travolta, who act as a fat lady! There is also Amanda Bynes (What A Girl Wants), Zac Efron (High School Musical), James Mardsden (Cyclops from X-Men), Queen Latifah, Michelle Pfeiffer, Christopher Walken and more!!! This movie is highly recommanded! A must watch! This is one of my favorite scene and song from the movie. Enjoy. Friday, August 24, 2007, 9:22 am

Last week was a really fun week for me. Starting from Thursday, every night there is something fun for me. Let me start... Thursday (16.08.07) Celebrated Tricia's birthday. We went to this place at Bedok to have steamboat. People who went are Tricia (duh!), Arielle, Joey, John, Daniel and me. Had fun steamboat session. The food was nice and it was really cheap! Only S$8.90 per person. Took some photos also. ![]() Me, Tricia & Joey ![]() All of us ![]() Trying so hard to light up the candles! The wind so strong! ![]() Happy 22nd Birthday to Our Dear Tricia! When at Taka finding a card for Tricia earlier in the afternoon, Arielle and me found something really interesting. Its a birthday bear handphone accessory, one for every day of the year! So we decided to buy for everyone of us. ![]() My Birthday Bear ![]() The day and month written on its belly ![]() One for everyone! After steamboat, we decided to go for KTV! The room is using projection TV!!! And its John's 1st KTV session! He really got sing! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Tricia & me, Qing Ge Dui Chang! ![]() ![]() Friday (17.08.07) Went to watch the fireworks display with Dexter and Wei Xiang at Marina Bay. Wei Xiang got the tickets. It was so nice! But stupid us, none of us brought a camera.... ARGH!!! So no photos to show also. But its the first time i saw 15 mins worth of fireworks! And the fireworks all got designs and it sync with the music. Fantastic! Saturday (18.08.07) Met up with Dexter and Wei Xiang again to go buy present for Deroose. Met up in Orchard. Shop shop walk walk... In the end bought a CK slippers for him. So nice! Only $30. Went over to Deroose's house after that. The celebration was actually held at Sentosa, but because of the rain, he made it at his house. We went, had talk cock session, eat food. No one brought camera also, so no photos. Sunday (19.08.07) This is the event that I am really looking forward to! Had a gathering with some of my primary school friends. Haven seen them ever since we graduated from primary school! That's like what? 10 years ago!? The gathering also serve as a farewell for Peiling, who got married and is migrating over to Australia. So happy for her. First among us old friends to get married. People who attended are Lester, Peiling, Guo Wei, Kaiting, Ruixian, Grace, Jing Yi, Meiqi, Fredrick, Chun Ling, and me. ![]() Everyone look so grown up now... Haha... I think that's because the memory I had with them is in Primary school. We had some catching up to do. And because of the gathering, I found 2 of my LONG LOST FRIENDS! Sophie and Stella. They are my longest known friends, ever since Kindergarden! That actually made us friends for more than 10 years! Got in contact with a few other primary school friends. Really glad to have found them. Friday, August 10, 2007, 9:42 am
![]() It was our nation's 42th birthday yesterday on 09 August. I've got the honor to celebrate our National Day at the new "stadium" at Marina Bay. Went with my parents and my sister. We were all dress in red. And when we reach there, every other Singaporeans were wearing red too. It's really a good thing as we are all proud to be a Singaporean. The stadium at Marina Bay is really nice. Of cause, its not as big as the National Stadium, but still, it's big enough for a National Day Parade. We were sitted at the green sector, which is at the left side. The pre-parade started with different performance, like from the Dim Sum Dollies, to other Singapore artists performing some Singapore songs. After that, the parade started to form up. The ministers all started to came in. This year there was no combine school choir. The normal tradition was that there will be 4 songs (tamil, malay, chinese and the english NDP theme song) will be sung during the parade segment. But this year, instead of singing the 4 songs, they played 3 musics. Tamil, Malay and Chinese, something different. ![]() The Singapore flag flying past as we sing the National Anthem ![]() Fighter Jets beautiful air display Something special is that, the sounding of the canon is really near to us! The canons are just opposite us! So freaking loud! Everything brings back memories of when I was participating in NDP 1999. The show segment started after that, and of cause, its the usual stuff. But this year, as we are next to the water, they had more showcase of sea ships by the SAF. During the show segment, Kit Chan also came out to sing this year NDP theme song, "There's No Place I'd Rather Be". And lastly, the most important part of cause, is the FIREWORKS! The fireworks this year is also much better, as its so near to us! It looks as if the fireworks is just right infront of us! Wonderful... I'm really happy to be a part of the celebration. Happy Birthday Singapore! Thursday, August 09, 2007, 8:47 am
Went to watch the Singapore made movie "881" with Douglas yesterday. ![]() All I can say its, the movie is really nice, with a mix of drama and comedy. Royston Tan sucessfully did a great job with it. Before watching, I thought that this is just another low budget, boring and meaningless movie, about people singing getai. But my thoughts immediately changed after that. This movie is so funny and meaningful at the same time! I seriously enjoyed the movie (more than I enjoyed movies by Jack Neo). I feel that this movie is so far the BEST Singapore produced comedy ever. It has its funny parts, and of cause, the sad and touching portion. I almost cried.... Oops... Not only is the storyline great, the songs in the movie are also really nice and catchy. Douglas is totally hooked to the songs and wants to buy the soundtrack! This movie is totally watchable! You guys should go watch it. 881 ah yo ah yo.... Monday, August 06, 2007, 5:30 pm
