my little seed has finally arrived!!! JOY, that's her name...let me rewind back to the day i went for my last gynae appt...this shall be a long post...

went for gynae appt as usual but with my SIL, parents and hubs this time...so happens that my SIL was there for her gynae (same doc fyi) appt too and my parents were around that area...so all dropped by...

did my 30mins CTG for the 3rd time...and little joy was hyperactive as usual during the CTG rubbing against my stomach wall where the CTG belt is being strapped around my tummy....

layed there for 30 mins, NO CONTRACTIONS!!! super demoralised...

BUT......when i went to see my gynae, had my routine checkup and cervix checked...doc says, I CAN INDUCE ANYTIME LE!!! yipee~ i don't know how to describe that feeling....i'm so happy lor...was almost at the verge of tears when doc announced this to hubs and my parents....saw my mum jumped in joy and she even teared alittle...hahaha....that's how happy we were...

so we fixed our appt with gynae for the next day, 15th oct, induction process to welcome our little one...

the next moment, we stepped out of our gynae's office, ALL of us were on the phone...hahaha...busy keeping everyone updated...

couldn't sleep the whole night...too excited =p
the thought of not being able to bathe with normal tap water for the next whole month, i got up to have my longest bath ever at 5am...hehe

after which, me and dear dear headed to mac donalds for my last fastfood breakfast before my pregnancy is over... =p cos for the next few hours, during labour, i'm told that i cannot consume any food... =(

7am, reached raffles hospital...feeling all excited...and sickening dear dear said he felt like he's going on a holiday... (-_-)"

so upon arriving, dear dear went to settle my admission stuffs while i get myself changed and await what's next as i was totally clueless...

first, i was given some medicine to have my bowels cleared...pengz...hate that...within seconds, i was running toilet...hahaha

next, there's the CTG to monitor little joy's heart beat and contraction...

following that, my anesthetic doctor arrived to put me on glucose drip...thank goodness he's really gentle, so the process of having a needle stuck into my veins isn't painful....the only feeling that still sends the shivers down me is the cold feeling that i get when the glucose flows thru my veins....eeww...sucky feeling...

and i had my epidural dose done too....dear dear so funny...right from the start, he's so insistant to have me take epidural...but when doc told him that there's a list of side effects and that he needs to base on FEEL to have it successfully injected into my back, he was suddenly so uncertain and asked doc lotsa questions...hahahaha...but in end, he still told the doc to go ahead with it.. (-_-)"

after epidural, there's the wait for it to take effect and my gynae dropped by at about 8.30~9am (if i never remember wrongly) to burst my waterbag...and there's the start of the WAITING GAME........

10hrs passed, and i wasn't ready to deliver little joy yet!!! pengz... thank goodness i took epidural, else, i don't know how to endure the 10 hours...and best part, gynae came by after 10 hours telling me that little joy is showing signs of distress and my cervix was only opened for 5cm despite having 2-3mins interval of strong contractions....i'm really stunned by the news...cos doc says i've gotta go for emergency c-section...PENGZ!!! my greatest fear manz....

within mins, the nurses prepared me to be wheeled to the operation theatre...totally at a loss when i was wheeled there...dear dear wasn't beside me as i was going for GA so he can't see the whole delivery process... =( and my fear for all the needles and scissors made me shiver once again at the thought of having my body CUT!!! eeewww~

in the operating theatre, the trademark scare of the operation theatre lights was shining brightly above me...just like those in the movie...and all the nurses and surgeons were dressed in green, with a cap and mask, again, JUST EXACTLY LIKE MOVIES!!! arghhhh~ and i bet my heart was racing mad fast cos i overheard 1 of the nurses reporting to the doc after my surgery that my heart beat was very fast but after surgery, was back to normal...hahaha... =p

the whole surgery process took 45mins..and the next thing i knew, my anesthetic doc was slapping my face to wake me up...and all the tubes and needles were taken out from my mouth and body at that point of time...and i hate that stupid tube in my mouth which was choking me by sucking out seems-like-every-bit-of-thing in my throat which caused me to have lotsa phelgm and complete dryness in my throat and i couldn't talk for quite awhile...(-_-)" AND.............I CAN'T COUGH OUT THE PHELGM COS OF MY WOUND....it hurts...

so next, i was wheeled to my ward and there i saw dear dear waiting for me outside the operation theatre...so glad to see him but i was still recovering from the GA...so i was half asleep and half wanting to ask him "how's baby"...

was warded at room 848...and i was shown the following pic by dear dear....hehe...

stayed in the ward for the next 3 nights...first night, i was told i can't have any food, only warm water or milo...pengz~ water, my mum told me i can't drink coz it'll cause air, while milo, i can drink but it'll add on to the phelgm...sigh~ dilemma....
but halo~ i didn't have any food after 7am and i can only eat the next day??!! i was damn hungry lor...after asking dear dear "how's baby", next question was "can i eat?" hahahahha... =p i know, what a question...

was too weak that night to breastfeed joy....so had formula milk for her and my first breastfeeding attempt will start the next day...

so day 2, i was only relieved from my drips in the morning and given only liquid food for all 3 meals...and i was walking by 4pm with the help of the "Magic Ball" aka pain killer which is attached to my tummy through a long long tube....gross~

sorry for the long absence...hehe...ever since i've shifted to serangoon, i've yet to move my imac along with me... =p that explains why i've not been blogging other than times when i blog from office..

sianz~ i don't know how to load my video files into my computer...all the files are in .ind format.....dah~ what's that sia? i feel like a computer idiot...

so, no videos for now...just pictures we took from our recent genting trip... =) not many though...

took the konsortium coach up for the first time...morning bus...wasn't that bad until it was going up that mountain...we're practically crawling manz....i see cars, taxis, and other coaches zooming pass us and what we're doing? crawling lor~ hahahaha...even mummy and daddy took a taxi from KL up later than us still reached about 20mins earlier than us lor... (-__-)"

luckily i managed to catch some sleep through out...hehe...but i think poor baby didnt slp...could feel her kicking inside all the time...especially when we're going up the mountain...wonder is the pressure got anything to do with it...cos her kick was very very often then...

oh yah, sidetrack abit, hehe...did i mention, till now, hubs only managed to feel baby's so-called "ding-dang kick" (named by hubs) twice last night??? hahahaha....somehow, don't know why, baby just doesnt want to kick daddy when his hands is on my tummy till yesterday... =p

ok, back to the trip...lazy to type liao....here's some pics lar... =p

as promised, here's my full set of pre-wedding shoot taken from french bridal... =) i love my main bridal gown...but too bad, all was changed for the AD...

last friday, we had a final celebration with all our "brothers" & "sisters" from our wedding at the House of Steamboat in Tan Quee Lan Street...

had so much fun making a whole lot of noise in this small & crowded place...haha....i think till the extend the waitresses & waiters are kinda pissed... =p anyway, we didn't bother and continued with our photo taking sessions using polaroid camera...so the photo quality isn't very gd when i scanned into the computer...so, bear with it..hehe
