Mummy & Lily

Yes it's a blurry photo and not a great one, but it's kinda hard to take the one armed photo of myself now there is 2 of us to get in the frame. But I thought I would post it anyway as there aren't many pics of Lil and I. She is growing bigger, stronger and her legs are longer everyday. Lily is simply gorgeous in everyway!

It's been a while since the last post but here we are

Lily is 4 weeks old now, and as gorgeous as ever. She sleeps beautifully at night, and has a few little naps during the day. Auntie Ang has been spending lots of time with us, it's been really helpful to have another pair of hands to help out & lovely to have her company.

Roger, Lilian and Lauraine all popped in on Saturday to marvel at their little grand-daughter. And Sunday was Uncle Ings, Ang, Auntie Ek & Cliff, really nice to see them all.

I have been adjusting to not having the full use of my two hands for most of the day, and in those moments when I'm not holding Lily I am making a mad dash to clean something or cook or wrap a present or two.

Stell has settled back into work but really misses his little girl, It will be great to spend a few days together over Christmas.

Well that's all for now bubba is opening her beautiful big blue eyes...

Visitors

Auntie Ange, Grandma Lauraine & Cousin Phoenix all popped over to have cuddles of little Lily today. Yes everybody now has to have another name in front of their existing name! It was lovely to see them and hear about what's been happening with everyone else.

Mumma time (sing to hammer time tune)

Yep I seem to be in this horizontal position quite a bit these days, Miss Lily has decided she only likes to sleep when she is lying on Mumma!! This new phase has only been going for about 2 days, but it gives me an insight into what Siamese twins might feel like!



Jo & Liam visited today, it was really cool to see Lily and another child, she looks so tiny next to Jo's little Liam. Liam thought she was kinda cool, until Mumma Jo picked her up then he wasn't to sure, we think he wanted to hold her. He probably felt like a giant for the first time in his life!

Lily is asleep in bed yay...not asleep on Simmone the bed. She has been sleeping for about 2.5 hrs now, awesome. Enough time for me to have a beer, cook dinner, clean the house and finally blog a little.

Well it's almost the weekend and it will be really nice to have Stell home with Lily and I.

Stell went off to work this morning for the first time in 2 weeks, I think it could be a good thing for him to get out of the baby cocoon for a while and see his work colleagues.
Baby and I are adjusting well, thankfully I have been getting sleep, yes I followed Stell's advise and have been sleeping when Lily sleeps instead of pottering around getting other jobs done. I find it quite tricky to sit down for such long periods of time when feeding and sending her of to sleep, have to keep a book or mag handy. Lily is doing really well though, sleeping, eating basically covering her selection criteria well.

We went to Dan's bday party on Saturday, it was great for Lily to meet some of our friends, but after 2 hours we were ready to go home, just too much going on for me, noise, dogs, drinking etc. What a piker I sound like, but my priorities have really changed now and it's all about the baby!

Gotta go now things to do baby's to see....
