There goes my ride...

Zan and I had just finished shopping at VIVO city and were heading back home when a purple goods van crashed into us from behind. The scary thing was that I actually saw him coming towards me at a very fast speed when all the cars in front of me were almost coming to a stop. Apparently he was trying to change lanes from the right and didn't see my car. Anyway, it all happened so fast, but as I saw him coming nearer, I felt so helpless and I couldn't do anything coz there were cars in front and beside me, so I braced myself for the hit.

Anyway, this is what happened after, from Zan's narrative:

"ouch! ouch!" even after it happened i was so blur i thought Adelyn rolled over something really hard! then reality striked me in tat same second that we have been hit! i was totally oblivious to what was going on. just before the unfortunate accident, i was still commenting happily on how i like her car so much blabla... it was so peaceful and every car was observing strict lane discipline when adelyn anticipated the crash from her right rear. i was simply talking and laughing. our joyous shopping day totally went downhill. apparently the guy was sick. he wanted to change lane but didnt see adelyn's car which is RIGHT in front of him. and he couldnt reach his breaks. apparently the breaks were not good! anyway tat's how it happened. major damage to poor babe's car. WHOLE windscreen was shattered, boot and right rear door cant be closed properly, almost smacked into the petrol tank which could have caused and explosion if not for God's grace. Thank God that the glass didnt hit us, we were unhurt (except for my neck) and there was no passenger sitting at the back.

altho the knock on my head was not that strong, it was strong enough to make me feel groggy and then now my neck hurts! babe accompanied me to the worse doctor i've ever seen. This is how it went:

"we just got into an accident and i kinda hit my head a bit. my shoulder feels a little painful too. can you check if there's anything seriously wrong?"

the FAT doc lifted up his FAT hands and started massaging my left shoulder and went "oh it's called a whiplash".

after which he started scribbling SO many different medicine.adelyn and i were SO unhappy and dissatisfied with the consultation we started asking him so many questions. "so would there be any serious? what are the side effects?" here was the most irritating part. "mayyyyyyybeeeeeee". it's exactly how he said it in his act cute tone. what a f. up doctor seriously. fat and lousy. haha and he started telling us how "mayyyybbbeee your hands will lose sensation..mayyybbeee this, mayyybbeee that"!

so we were like.."ok..""so.. is my brain hurt or something? aren't u gonna check it?" he reluctantly said "ok if u want me to check"... *finally he fought gravity to move his FAT arms up with a torch to shine thru my pupils* for 2-3 seconds. "your brain is fine".

Adelyn was soooo irritated by then she said "that's it? by shining a torch her brain is fine?" haha! he went on to bullcrap again and then we were totally pissed then.

he was so unethical too! think he was sick of us asking him so many qns, he told me that I HAD to finish ALL the painkillers he give. ALL. screw his FATS man. even a non-medically trained person knows better not to take painkillers if u dont need it.he gave me 3 painkillers and VITAMINS. pharmacist says the VIT is to help my blood circulation. by then we were like "WATEVER".

i found out today at my doc's (who was totally professional and GOOD. not to mention cute even.) that he gave me STERIODS! which was too strong for my condition! and also the VITs which are SO NOT NEEDED with my condition. he said i shldnt take the painkillers if i didnt need them! i feel soooooooooo pissed with the bloody FAT doc!

btw we paid 40 bucks. ugh.SO PLEASE DO NOT GO TO CLEMENTI CENTRAL 24HR CLINIC. DR LYE (DONG FANG?!) sth like tat.

Zan and I were talking online and still complaining about the lousy lazy doctor and after our conversation went something like that:

Ade: Hey, i'm uploading the pics of the crash onto my com now. If you want can send you later.
Zan: You know what would be really bimbotic?
Ade: What?
Zan: If we had posed and taken a pic together with the smashed car.
Ade: HAHAHAHAHHA!!

Anyway, my parents have been really nice about the whole incident. My dad was commenting about how unfortunate I was to have met such a reckless (or maybe groggy and unwell) driver on the road. But I feel I'm not the least bit unlucky, but very very fortunate and thankful to be alive and well. For both Zan and I.

Stress buster

You know its the exam period when all of a sudden, Insaniquarium seems like the FUN-nest thing around. Feeding fish, breeding them and watching them grow and multiply then waiting to collect coins that drop from them when they are well-fed and shooting enemies to make sure they don't eat up all the fish, become amazingly therapeutic!

Wakeboarding 1101E

Today, in Wakeboarding 1101E Mark shows us how wakeboarding is done. Aaron, please watch and learn!

First, act like you don't know how to wakeboard and let the instructor give you a blow-by-blow guide to standing up without falling.

Then clumsily fall a few times to convince gullible friends on the boat that you really have no idea how to wakeboard.

And finally, awe everyone by not only being able to stand on the board for a full 5 mins, but also riding on the waves and executing jumps, flips, turns etc... *GASP*

Can't get enough!

Taken from wikimedia.org

My love affair with Prison Break has gotten so serious to the extent that I spend the second half of wednesdays brimming with joy coz i get to watch it on tv the next day AND I wake up every thurs morning feeling like the happiest person in the world! Its not all about Michael Scofield, though he is admittedly great eye candy material. The plot's FANTASTIC, it can get me so very excited, nervous and emotional all in one episode. I don't think I can deal with a miserable hour any longer, I need more than my weekly dosage. Surely such good stuff has to come in larger quantities!!
