This Boy...

Oh Coop Man...I love him.  There is just something about boys.  Every mom needs a little boy.  He has gotten a little whiney but still so sweet.  He will always take a chance to cuddle me, especially since Quincy came :) and I love that.
This boy can swim!  Since last year (2 years old) he's been a fish.  No fear.

Uh, need I say more.  He loves to be a boy these days.  Tan gets home from work and Coop immediately wants to play mean guys.  He loves Spiderman, Captain America, Ironman, Batman, Hulk and all those other guys :)  He always like to watch My Little Pony with Addie.  He know all the ponies names...yikes.
He grew up on me all of a sudden.  He is a giant to me now and it makes me so sad.  I guess kids do that, grow up.  Why do they have to do that?! STOP GROWING COOPER!

Best Friends

These 2 are the best of friends.  I better show this to them some day when Addie is a snooty teenager and Coop is a punk little brother and all they do is fight :)  Don't get me wrong, they fight, but they play more than fight.  They get a little crazy and loud for my liking at times but at least they are having fun right!
Addie totally watches out for Coop and when Addie is gone, Coop is wondering where she is.  Addie always asks if Coop can come along when she goes places with other friends.  It's so sweet. Our house is not big and a couple of hours will go by when I won't see them.  They will be downstairs playing and I'm upstairs.  They totally entertain themselves for the most part.

I asked Tan a while back what we would do without them.  Life would be so boring!  I love these two crazies!

Addie Goes to Kindergarten!

I can't believe I have a kindergartner!  Am I old enough for such a milestone!?  Addie was not very vocal about going to kindergarten.  Wasn't complaining about it or saying she was scared but wouldn't say if she was excited about it either.  Typical Addie.  She doesn't like trying new things so it makes sense.  I'm such a bad mom...I didn't buy her backpack until the week before so it didn't come in the mail until a few days after school started :(  And I didn't even buy her new school shoes.  She only wears flip flops anyway but I guess I could have bought her some new ones:)  And the clothes I bought her were too warm for the 115 degree day it was.  And I had had a baby 2 weeks earlier so I wasn't "all there!"

Oh Cooper...the cheese phase.  These 2 are little buddies at home and will play for hours so I was a little worried how he would do without her for 2.5 whole hours!  He has done great so far and I think it's good time apart.  I told Coop a few days before school started that Addie would have to go to school and his response was "but that makes me so sad."  He loves her, even though she bosses him around like no other!  I also loved overhearing Addie the morning of her first day asking Coop if he would miss her while she was at school :)  His response was of course yes.  They are so cute together for the most part.
Addie is such a good girl.  She has her moments of course but who doesn't.  She watches out for Coop, loves Quincy, loves her dad, is a girly girl but loves the same things Coop love (Avengers, playing mean guy with dad, cars), doesn't love trying new things, loves swimming, LOVES broccoli, loves school, has lost 2 teeth, loves bagels and cream cheese, loves chocolate chip and oreos, has to have water with her all the time, has the best hair a 5 year old could have, loves the beach, and loves back tickles.  Cooper loves her and doesn't know what to do with himself sometimes when she's gone.  We love her and are so glad she is ours!

Oh My Slacker!

Wow, I don't even know how to use Blogger anymore...it changed so much in the past 5 months :)  I guess that's what I get for not blogging.  Ha, well here we go again.  I'll start with the most recent happenings and back track to Italy (which was fabulous).  On July 28, 2012 at 10:23 am we welcomed Little Miss Quincy into our family!  Weighing in at 6 lbs 5 oz and measuring 18.5 inches long she's our smallest baby so far.  She also has the most amount of hair.  Out of control hair.  I comb it down and it poofs up!  I love it though.  Wouldn't want it any other way. She has been an angel baby so far.  As I'm typing this she is 3 weeks old.  I feel like we've had her a lot longer.  Did I really have a baby 3 weeks ago?  It's just weird :) So here is her birth story just so I don't forget.  Coop and Addie were both early.  Coop was 1 week and Addie was 3.  So I had expectations of having little miss Q early.  I don't remember being so anxious and ready to be DONE with the other two.  So when I went in for my 37 week check up and found out I was pretty much progressed to nothing I was not happy!  I came home and cleaned house, bounced on the ball, went swimming, ya know, tried not to just sit. The next week at my 38 week check up I left a little more content.  Dilated to a 3 almost 4 I was happy.  Well, with Coop when I was that far progressed he came the next day.  So I went home kind of thinking she'd make her arrival within a couple of days.  I wasn't that far off having her 3 days later.  Friday night we went and got some mexican food and came home to watch the opening ceromonies for the Olympics.  I watched while bouncing on the ball of course.  Still no baby.  Slept pretty good that night.  Woke up at 4:55am to go to the bathroom.  Got back in bed.  Couldn't fall asleep.  Got out of bed at 5:05 to go downstairs.  I got to the doorway and........my water broke! So glad it wasn't in my bed:)  Woke Tan up and said it was go time.  He was so nervous.  It was fun to watch him.  I wasn't having any contractions so I wasn't that worried.  Cooper was delivered about 1.5 hour after my water broke and we lived 2 minutes from the hospital.  This time the hospital was a good 30 minutes away so I understood why he was kind of freaking out!  We woke the poor kids up, called Tan's brother to meet us at the hospital to grab the kids and we were off.  We got to the hospital right before 6:00.  I was then dilated to a 5 with no contractions still.  Once we got into my room and hooked all up it was a waiting game.  Cooper came on his own with no help whatsoever.  I didn't have time to get an epidural with him he came so fast.  This time it was looking like I had time to choose to get an epidural.  I said NO.  What was I thinking!  Oh well.  I could always change my mind they told me.  After an hour or so of irregular contractions they started me on some Pitocin.  With Pitocin they can knock it all the way up to 100.  They started me at 2.  After an hour they knocked it up to 4.  Well, that's all I needed.  I got up to go to the bathroom a while later and almost passed out while having one major long contraction!  It was all downhill from then.  Meaning, it was pretty painful :)  They checked me and I was an 8 and ready to push!  YAHOOOO!  They called the doc in and it was go time.  Contractions hurt really really bad.  During natural child birth you almost go into a delirious state it hurts so bad. You just want to punch something really hard!  Luckily for me (and the main reason I choose to go natural) my body doesn't like to mess around and gets those babies our fast!  I pushed through 3 contractions, probably about 7 minutes and little Q was out!  She was soooo tiny!  She was my smallest but she seemed extra small to me. She had TONS of hair also.  She really has been such a good little girl.  Only causing me one night where I was "done" so far.  Addie loves her and always comes and touches her hair and says "soft hair, ahh."  Coopman is not so interested.  That's ok.  He will come around.  Having 3 kids definitely keeps you busier but my kids are well behaved for the most part so it makes it a little easier!

Oooh Mexico...

my family had been planning on going to cabo since christmas, we were not invited :( i had accepted it and moved on knowing they'd have fun with out me and eat lots of yummy authentic tacos. then one day a few weeks ago i was laying on the couch with the stomach flu when i got a phone call from my dad. he said 'you don't sound very good' and i said "i don't feel very good" and he said "would a trip to cabo make you feel better?" and i said "i guess."
ok i was a little more excited than that! i called tan and asked permission to go and he said fine. it was so nice to get away for a bit and catch some sun. as we were getting off the plane in cabo a hispanic lady told me that we were pale so to wear lots of sunscreen. thank you, i already knew that i was pale. hence the reason i am here in mexico :) thanks to my mom and dad for the fabulous vacation and thanks to my dad again for taking a few pics of addie so i would have something to show for this trip! i am seriously the worst picture taker ever. oh well.
She is the bravest little girl when it comes to nasty animals! She is always willing to hold giant birds, lizards, snakes...ya know, all the dirty ones.

Sunday after church we got to swim with the dolphins. There are no pictures of us actually with them since they don't allow cameras in the stadium. They want you pay $100 for one of their pics instead. Um, no thanks! It was lots of fun! Best part was when Marianne (our dolphin) gave me a ride on her back. So fun!

Coop man was so tired by the end of each day he was asleep a few times while we were at dinner. When we went last March this little boy would not touch the sand. He hated it. He wouldn't even sit on a towel on the beach. This time he loved it! He would run around, jump of the hills, slide down the hills and mess up all our awesome sand creations.
As I'm typing this I really want some tacos. Cabo has some very yummy taco stands. If you've never had an authentic mexican taco, you are missing out, BIG TIME! Yum, they are so good.
It was a great trip as usual. Thanks again Mom and Dad! Me and the kids had a blast!

Thank Goodness for iphones!

it's a darn good thing I got an iphone for Christmas because without it there would be no pictures of my kids. how sad is that! So here is the "phone dump" of pictures since Christmas.
that is addie in the blanket being swung by papa.
these 2 had to wear these hats to every store we went into for a few days. christmas was so warm in provo this year. we were going on walks without coats and playing outside most of the time. i will admit that i was a little disappointed there wasn't any snow.
next year i will not be leaving the house during the month of february. it has been non stop sickness. addie had the stomach flu, coop had the stomach flu, i go just the flu, then i got the stomach flu (lost 4 lbs, can't complain about that)addie got pink eye while in Cabo, coop got pink when we got home, tan got sick and now it is today. coop still isn't feeling 100%, i think i'm going to have to take him back to the dr. poor little guy. he sure is cuddly though which is a plus.
addie had Dr. Seuss week at school last week. instead of show n' tell they were to come with a seuss hair-do. addie went as cindy lou who.
batman!!!
these two are good friends most of the time. i love listening to them talk to each other and play. i also love that when i can't understand coop, i can ask addie what he said and she will know.
addie about a month and a half go was telling me she had a lose tooth. I didn't believe her and then finally felt her tooth to find it was super lose! 2 days later i pretty much lifted it out of her mouth. we are still waiting for her tooth to start growing in. i guess i should believe what she says from now on!

The Crazies

Addie loves the camera lately. It sure made me smile when I was going through the camera and found all these. They love each other most days and have fun together. I hope it stays that way for a super long time!

We're Gonna Party Like It's Ya Birfday...

Addie turns 5 on October 5th and we will be in Utah so I decided to do her little friend party before we left. We went with a "Baking" themed party this year. I had to talk her into it but she ended up loving it. So much better than the barbie party she wanted. What kind of mom am I, talking my child out of what she really wants...rude huh. Maybe next year I'll give her what she wants :) I thought it turned out cute. I made chef hats for each friend, all 15 of them.
They each made their own pizza, then we decorated cupcakes, made miniature pies, hit a pinata and opened presents. They each took home a bakery box filled with their goodies that they had made. At the end of it all I realized we never even sang happy birthday to her. Oops. We sang after and let her blow her candles out.

(My cupcake for "Pin the Cherry on the Cupcake.")

It was crazy having 15 kids under 5 there decorating things and being crazy but they were well behaved and there were no major messes surprisingly.
Tonight we are taking her bowling and out to dinner and then to open even more presents. Me and the kids will be in Utah so we have to celebrate with Tan tonight. I'm sure she will have another little party while in Utah on her real birthday. Spoiled.
I can't believe I have a 5 year old. Most of the time I feel like I just graduated high school a few years ago. I keep thinking I'm still 22. Too bad I'm coming up on 28. Yikes. Can't wait to get Utah and feel some nice fall weather!! Excited is an under statement. It's been 105 here STILL. Jeans and cardigans here I come!
