GOAT!

 

Pugs originated in China, dating back to the Han dynasty (B.C. 206 to A.D. 200).

Some historians believe they are related to the Tibetan Mastiff.

They were prized by the Emperors of China and lived in luxurious accommodations,

sometimes even being guarded by soldiers.

 

So that makes us "Royalty", right!?!

Mama made us some heart-shaped cookies.

They look dark here ... 

 

but they actually look like this ...

with yogurt "frosting" on them

(she isn't very good at decorating but we don't care!)

 

Here is the recipe:
Say Cheese!

3/4 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 cup Brown rice flour + extra for dusting...
1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons Milk
1 tablespoon coconut oil, melted

Preheat oven to 350°. Combine all ingredients until dough forms. Knead for a minute or two on a lightly floured surface. Roll dough to 1/4" and cut shapes with cookie cutters, or roll teaspoon size balls and flatten with the palm of your hand. Place on parchment lined or non-stick cookie sheet and bake for 12 minutes, or onto lightly browned. Cool completely on wire rack and store in an airtight container in fridge for up to one week or freeze for up to two months.
We used a Wilton heart-shaped donut pan and it made 18. If you use a 1-1/2" x 2" cookie cutter you should get about six dozen small treats.

Saturday "Fun Day"

It was warm on Saturday ...

50 degrees for mid-January

in Central Illinois.

So we got to play outside!

The only thing the pawrents

didn't think about ... the MUD!

Peyton's Gotcha Day

Six years ago today I was

a belated 1st birthday gift for Zoe ...

Here is one of the first pictures of the two of us together

Here I am this morning

I got a new sweater, my favorite

salmon jerky and a bunny.

AND bacon pizza for dinner!

I had to share with my brothers and sisters

but that's okay ... there was enough to go around!

 

And for dessert tonight we'll have cake

left over from Zoe's birthday

Zoe is 7

Today is my birthday!

I have entered the SENIOR stage

and it scares mama ...

I told her not to worry 'cause

I plan to be here another 7+ years!

 

 

Everyone knows I am a Princess

(my name is Princess Zoe LuvPug).

I even have my own tiara ...

 

After a yummy dinner of pot roast,

carrots and mashed potatoes

I got some presents!

 

The sweater I'm wearing, a couple of dresses,

a HUGE box Greenies (my favorite), some treats

that have my name on them and even some

"Senior" treats (which I didn't like).

 

My tiara is heavy and I don't like to wear it

but for a treat or two, I usually give in.

 

Mama knew dinner would fill me up so

we will have cake tomorrow!

I think I'm ready for a nap ...
