Around the House

Oh around our house in the month of January has been a little crazy. Honestly we've mainly been sick, and still are. We've cycled through nasty cold after cold all month. It doesn't look like Feb will be much different either. Let's hope it is though. It's been hard to get things done or be motivated to do things. Kinda a lame way to start the year, but ah well. Not much we can do about it. I figured I'd throw in one of these posts to cover all the randoms from the month.
I love it when the kiddos all play nice together. They look cute doing it too.

Love having my girlie girl that just wants some honest girl time with mom. It makes me happy, and I wish we could do it more. I hope she always wants this time with me. My life feels so revolved around the boys right now, it was fun when she came to me telling me we needed make overs and girl time that night.

Daddy decided having smores for dessert one night was a must.
Our Saturdays have been busy with projects. I put my Hubs to work with many demands. Honestly it works out great, cause I get something fun out of it, and he doesn't drive us all crazy with nothing to do. A busy Adam is a happy Adam. Having a Honey-Do list makes his Saturdays good.
Meanwhile I've been trying to keep me busy with projects too. I'm not good at them, but it's good for me as well.
I love helping with class parties when I can. I took Ollie to this one so he could see what all the fuss was about. He liked it. Gabe was so excited about her 100 days of school party.
Silliness all around
New church times mean Sunday naps. Gabe stole my spot on sunday to snuggle with Daddy and take a nap.
Such random pics, but I LOVE them.
Gabe had her first field trip around town to local places this week. They went to the fire station, McDonalds, and Lynn's grocery store. Gabe and Afton actually thought Lynn's was the best cause they got to go in the back and see all the secret food places. The big freezers and food. Then Gabe told me they got to choose snacks and not even pay for them. ;) She was kinda conflicted about stealing, but I explained her school probably paid or Lynn's maybe donated them to the school. That made her feel better. Someday I'd love to go on field trips, but it'll have to wait until all the kiddos are in school.
You never know what these boys will do next together.
I haven't watched the Wadsworth kids much this month. We've been sick, and they've been sick. Heather ended up finding someone who can be a back up baby-sitter. She still supposedly prefers me, and so do her kids. Maybe that'll eventually change and this college girl will watch them instead. Who knows. Right now I usually do unless we are sick. I don't mind watching them, and we need extra money, but I also would be ok either way. I kinda dread the idea of summer, but look forward to keep watching them come next year when the kids have longer days at school and mainly just have four kids most of the day. Who knows what will come of it. But for now we still watch them. The month of Feb I'll have them two days a week again. Heather is taking someone's maternity leave again. So that means extra money but more chaos. Bring it on. Ha!
These two are either best buddies or total enemies
In other news, the medicine that we had Adam on didn't work like we hoped it would. So that means our only option is the expensive kind that's $800+ a month. It won't be all year cause we'll eventually pay off that high deductible, but it'll take us a while. I can tell you there is not much I wouldn't sacrifice to give my hubby relief from the pain he has had. As hard as this new trial will be I can honestly say I'm SOOO very grateful for him to have normalcy in his life again. We still aren't sure how we are gonna make ends meet, but we are happy. So if you don't see us much the beginning of each year. You'll know why.

18 Month Stats

Ok I know that our son is now 19 Months, and that I should have posted this last month, but his appointment was this month. Then I've just been super busy/a slacker blogger/sick over and over again. So here we go. He happened to have an ear infection when we took him in for his appointment. Kinda nice it was counted as a well visit and we didn't have to pay for an extra visit, but OBVIOUSLY we'd rather he didn't have one at all. One more and it's tubes supposedly. I don't love colds, and it seems like the more we try to avoid sick people, the more we run into them.  Oh well. Anyway, onto Milo.

We went in with him weighing 25 pounds. Man, he's catching up fast to his siblings. It's weird to think about. Although, it still puts him in the 46 percentile for weight. His height is at 33 inches putting him in the 82 percentile. I always wonder how tall he'll end up being. Tall and slender this boy of ours. He has big feet. Someone told me that means he'll be tall, I guess we'll see if that's true. They measured his head, but he wouldn't hold still so they didn't get an accurate measurement. He still has a big head, so we're good. :)

The rest of the appointment we talked ears, and speech. He still doesn't talk all the much, but since he says a few more things she's not too worried. We'll see.

Some things he's up to now:

-Milo LOVES LOVES LOVES bananas. He begs for them all day every day. Throwing fits when we tell him no he's already had one. It's the first thing he wants when he wakes up. We go to the grocery store and he freaks when he sees them. Our other two tolerate them, and go through phases liking them  but have never loved them. He thinks they are wonderful. We have never bought so many before. He has them daily. He is definitely our monkey.

-He loves to color. It needs to be supervised, cause he's rather color on the couch or eat crayons, but he still loves to do it.

-He loves to climb and step on things. If something is on the floor, he will use it as a stool. We have to make sure all breakable things are off the floor.

-He loves to read books and could do it all day.

-He LOVES Mickey Mouse. Everything else he eventually gets board with, but not the same Mickey shows over and over. He also likes Jake and the Neverland Pirates. He's not that into watching car shows, but loves to play with cars. Especially if Ollie will play with him.

-He HATES nursery. Ollie is no longer in there, so Milo doesn't want to be either. It doesn't help that our Nursery is seriously lacking in good leaders and when he is screaming nobody tries to distract him, hold him, or play with him. So we kinda hate it, cause he just screams in the corner by the door. It makes us sad. They are working on calling new leaders so we are kinda hoping it will help. Wish they'd hurry. Juggling him when we both have to teach is not fun, neither is leaving him histerical in nursery. With the new church time it goes into nap time, and it makes it tricky.

-He loves to come hand you toys to get you to play with him.

-He licks everything. It drives us a little crazy. This includes our faces when he gives kisses and the counters when he climbs up on the stools. Silly boy.

-He loves baths and loves to irritate anyone in the bath with them by splashing them.

-He is still pretty easy going when it comes to food which is a nice thing since the other two aren't. He has learned how to launch his food across the room by filling his cheeks with air and spitting with all his might. Not my favorite trait, but he thinks it's great.

-He's obsessed with shoes. He wants his on, and drags everyone else's all over the house wearing them all day. He also always wants his coat on cause he seems to think you'll take him somewhere if he gives it to you.

-He is super lovey. He just wants cuddles and hugs all day. He's a lot like Ollie in that way. Both such touchy feely boys who wants cuddles to feel loved. Because they are a like in this way, they fight over affection from both Mom and Dad. They also are already super competitive with each other. Ah brothers.

-He loves to wrestle and tickle and chase. Any game with any of those things are his favorite. He is so ticklish that you don't even have to touch him and he falls to the ground laughing. His neck is probably his most ticklish spot. His laugh makes us giggle, cause it sounds like a more high pitched version of Ollie's. So it's super fun to hear when you get them both laughing.

-Poor boy still gets stomach issues often, but they seem to be fewer and fewer so that's nice.

-He doesn't talk much, but is starting to mimic us more. His animal sounds are pretty cute if you can get him to do them. My newest favorite is when you ask him something and he responds with, "Yeah Yeah!" It's not just one, but two yeahs with enthusiasm. Cute boy.

-He loves to sing any song that has actions. "Popcorn Popping" is by far his favorite and we sing it daily and still love the way he tries to do the actions. It's adorable.

He love our Baby boy. Time is moving too fast with this boy, but we are enjoying him every moment we can.

LOVE YOU MO!

Takin a Boy's Day

It was a Saturday and Gabe had a b-day party, I had a lesson to plan and Milo needed a nap. So the boys took off to frolic. Adam has been taking the kids "Mountain Biking" lately per their requests. So Ollie wanted to go do that again. If I could post all the videos I would, cause it was all super cute to watch. He loves it.
Nothin better than spending the day with Daddy
Pizza and ice cream for lunch afterwards was a must

9 Years

Boom! Nine baby! :) Crazy to think it's been nine years. It's pretty fun to think that we are rounding on ten. I can honestly say that with each passing year I just love this husband of mine more and more. I'm so grateful for his patient and loving nature. He is just wonderful and makes all of our lives wonderful too!

We didn't have much planned on our actual anniversary since it was on a Tuesday, but we did make it feel special anyway. We had a nice dinner and a nice movie night. Adam surprised me with some sushi for lunch and I made him breakfast in bed. I love the nice little things that makes the day feel good.

On Saturday we went out to eat to "really' celebrate. We were talking about going to an Italian place, but Adam suggested Red Lobster last minute and I gave him. He did get some yummy salmon, which he actually does like, and I got this huge dish of just about anything. So yummy.

Gabe's Dance Pictures

We got Gabe's dance pictures back from her recitals that were in December.
This is her tumbling class and their outfits for their winter performance they did. This wasn't her "real" teacher, who was out sick most of the second half of the classes. She's also the owner. So this girl was the sub teacher, but the girls loved her and she did a good job so that's just dandy.
These are the pictures from their Ballet Class. They were the sheep that danced with the older girls in the Nutcracker performance. We got some extra pic options on our cd, so we had her get one with her buddy Briana.
Cute little sheep aren't they? :) Even cuter prancing around the stage.

Happy New Year!

Our New Years was pretty low key. We talked of going up north, but we had other expenses this month. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, cause the kiddos we all sick, and now Milo and I are sick. Leaving Milo with an ear infection this week. It's been a very dull/annoying way to start out the new year. Usually I'm all about the new start feeling of things. I usually have my goals ready and I start out with a bang. This year….I'm pretty banged up actually. Ha! Sickness will do that to you. Today is the first day I sat down and even thought about planning out my goals, blogging, and other things. So I guess my official "start" to things will have to be Monday. We'll see. Anyway, our celebrations were still fun despite sickness. The kids stayed up till about 9:30. I'm ok letting them stay up if people are here, but just us we didn't worry about it. They were sick. Adam and I watched a movie after they went to bed so I guess that means we did mumble "Happy New Year" to each other as we climbed into bed. It was one of those years.
While we were awake we had some fun. We got some new games for Christmas that the kids loved. This one by Disney called, "Eye See It" was a hit. That and "Don't Break the Ice", that Grandpa and Grandma gave us. We got this other Mickey game that was like shoots and ladders that they liked, but not as much as the others.
We still wore our gear and celebrated.
We didn't go all out on munchies, but we had some guac and some fruit with dip. Yummy.
Milo was cracking us up. He kept taking his two apples and putting them together making kissy noises pretending they were kissing. Don't ask me where he got it from and what inspired him to do it, but we loved it.
We meant to get some pops, but couldn't find any. So we just did the confetti kind, with a silly strand war to follow in the backyard.

Well I hope that everyone else's new year has started off a little better than ours has, and that the festivities were great for everyone. Happy New Year!
