8. Funny Girl Costume. Bday Present Stump.

8 weeks, baby! Although I could really go for 7 or 6, ya know. My body is just not big enough to hold the giant babies I make!

I'll be getting an extra ultrasound in about 5 weeks to see how big Baby #3 is to make sure he's not getting too big. I vote for him not being too big so I don't have to get induced. Blah.

So the other night I decided to watch our wedding video with Adam. We've been married for just over 6 years and I think we've only watched it once. Ha!
Anthony came in during the video at a point I was being photographed with a serious-ish, off-in-the-distance kind of face and he says, "HA! Momma, you're so sad and in a funny girl costume!" We laughed so hard!

Anywho, I've been crazy busy (well, the time I actually feel up to doing anything besides sit is busy since there's not a lot of that time...) getting ready for our insane road trip in a week and a half! We are driving to Utah! It's a 20 hour drive. We're going to do it in 2 days.
I have been stocking up a ton of toys/stuff-to-do ammo for the kids. I'll be stocking up in snacks next week and getting pretty much every single kind of snack there is. I'm going to pre-divide them into baggies before we leave so I can just throw them at the kids instead of having to hand back a a handful of goldfish.
I'm terrified of this trip but so excited at the same time!

Adam's birthday is in 10 days and I have NO CLUE what to get him. He got me a freaking iPod Touch for my birthday last year so I want to get him something at least nearly as awesome.
But I'm stumped. :(
I don't want his birthday to be lame especially since we are driving to Utah all day ON his birthday. HELP!

Rant-vomit. Perfect Days. 10 weeks!

Every day at lunch, Adam gives me a call.
Just to check in, say 'Hi' and to let me know he's alive.
Because if he doesn't call, the only logical explanation is that he died.
At least in my worst-case-scenario- brain that's how it works. :)

This poor guy has all kinds of stuff going on at work but he still calls me after he eats lunch because he knows I need it. I try to let him talk too sometimes but most days, I just vomit to him what has happened (the good, the bad and the ugly) that morning up until then.
And he let's me.
My morning rant-vomit stuff is probably the last thing he wants to add to his brain during the day but he still let's me.
And I am SOO thankful for him for letting me!
That lunch call often is what gets me through the day. Just an ear to dump today's woes into. Just knowing someone else knows how rotten or adorable the kids have been makes all the difference in my day.
Yeah, I love that guy!!
A lot!!

It's the end of February and it was nearly 70 degrees outside the other day! Yeah, awesome!
This past Saturday, we all went to the park to play and eat lunch. It was such a perfect afternoon. No, mom, I didn't take any pictures. I was too busy eating Girl Scout Cookies! It was pretty much a perfect day. I love spending time with my little family!

Btw, Our family will be getting better in 10 weeks!! Holy moly! I can't wait to get to hold my new little fat!

Not a catch up.

I haven't posted since October. Past of the reason for that is because we got a nasty virus on our computer. We thought it wiped everything out.

I cried.

The computer is only 2 years old and so is my baby, James. So his whole life in pictures, minus the best ones I posted on facebook, were gone. Plus, the gajillion Pampered Chef recipes and documents I had on there, family history stuff, etc, etc.

Then we found out everything was just 'cloaked' meaning it was still there just all hidden somewhere deep in the cyber belly of our computer. We thought it would be really expensive to fix this so we planned to just get that magic CD that came with the computer and just wipe it and start all over.

Yeah, cried again.

I was chatting with my friend and she made me realize we hadn't even checked to see how much it would cost. Hmm! So I called this place.
It was only $99!
No diagnostics fee.
No-fix, no-fee guarantee.
AND 10% off for first-time customers!

So, I'm happy. My computer is alive and so is everything on it. We are currently looking in to getting an external hard drive so I never have to cry about loosing my babies' pictures again!

So, way too much happened since October so I'm just going to start fresh now. Maybe I'll feel like going back 4 months and updating everything but not right now.

All I want to say now is I hate Tuesdays.
And soon I'll hate Wednesdays.
And then it'll be whatever day Adam has grad school class after that.
Being home with the boys ALL day by myself is oh so exhausting. BUT I am SO SO thankful Adam is going through grad school in a way that's easiest on us. He could be going mulitple nights a week but I only have to survive without him one night a week.
He's doing great; he's aced all the courses he's taken so far. I'm so proud of him!

He lights up my life. Days I don't see him just aren't as good! Sure there are times I'd like to punch him. HAHA! But I absolutely LOVE him waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more minutes than the one minute a blue moon I want to punch him. :)

Love that man. He's so perfect for me.

Spooky. Anniversary. Kickball.

Blah. I'm sick.

But I said I would start bloggin again aaaand that was 2 weeks ago.

So here we go.

1. I went to my very first big kid haunted house with Adam and our friends the Gagliardis. My opinion? Scary but not super scary.
Honestly it would have been JUST as scary had all the ghouly, deathy, bloody creatures been just regular people. Jumping out from behind a corner scares me. Molty death grandma from Hades does not.
Also, I think charging $15 to walk through a haunted house is a little excessive.
I'd do it again. It was fun clinging on to Adam for dear life. :)

2. We had our One Year in Arkansas anniversary last week. Crazy we've been here for a year already! But at the same time, living in our old house in AZ (*sniff!*) seems so long ago.
This also means Adam celebrated his 1 year anniversary for working with Walmart! This job has been so good for him and our family. He has made more of a name for himself and has had more chances to shine in his first year here than he did in the entire 4 YEARS he was working in AZ.
I see an awesome future for him here. I am so proud of him. He's a hard worker.

3. Adam is in a kickball league with some of his co-workers. Next week is the last week before the playoffs. Adam's team, Kickin It Ol School, is undefeated. Not only that but they De.STROY all their opponents (think 14-2 average scores!)
I've been taking to boys to his games and it's been lots of fun! It's so cute hearing Anthony say "Go Daddy!"
Can't wait to see Adam's team win the whole thing! (Am I counting chickens?)

4. Like I said before, I'm sick. I haven't been sick for more than a day in FOREVER. I can't even remember the last time I had a cold. Like, it's been years! Oh well, having a weakened immune system due to pregnancy is worth it. :)

5. Tomorrow night we are hosting a Full Moon Date Night complete with glow sticks, glow-in-the-dark bowling and Capture the Flag. I am SO excited! Hopefully I'll remember to take some pictures!

6. I have officially started the journey towards being a photographer! (YAY!) I took some family pictures for the first time. I was sooo nervous. I did OK. I learned a lot though and will do better next time. Here's one of the photos that turned out. Not too shabby, huh? And aren't their girls adorable?!

I'm free for now so who wants to let me practice on them? Please?

Count downs:

13 days til my half birthday. Boo yeah.
18 days til Halloween
36 days til my big sister comes to visit!
42 days til Thanksgiving (which means 43 days til BLACK FRIDAY!!!)
And heck, let's start counting down to Christmas, too! 73 days!!

The Renaissance Festival: Exposed

--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--
My husband and I along with our kids and some of our friends recently went to the Renaissance Festival in Muskogee, OK (where? I don't know either.)
Over all we had a lovely time but we were quite surprised with some of the interesting people we saw there. Granted, some of the weirdness seen this day was expected. Those that were
not are noted as such.
--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--~--

EXPECTED: Guys in floofy hats
Welcome to the Renaissance Festival! I killed 84 peacocks to make my hat.

NOT EXPECTED: Granny's saggy baggy bottom
This is THE very first thing we saw this day. Way to start, huh?

EXPECTED: The King
Although we did not expect to see random non-festival worker informing the king of a supposed poisoned well. O.o

NOT EXPECTED: Satyr girl
Cool costume though.

EXPECTED: Smithy of sorts

NOT EXPECTED: Mullet extraordinaire

EXPECTED: Dancing and merriment

NOT EXPECTED: Dancing Parisian watermelon clown girl

EXPECTED: Wenches
Although, I'm not sure these are renaissance wenches?

NOT EXPECTED: To be haunted by saggy baggy granny AGAIN!
We actually saw her THREE times this day. She wanted to make sure this image was burned into our memories for eternity.

EXPECTED: Dancing 'round the maypole

NOT EXPECTED: Flubby belly dancers

EXPECTED: Cool renaissancey costumes

NOT EXPECTED: Moose-racoon-pikachu-tie dye wack-a-doo girl

EXPECTED: Awesome knights
Holy grail, anyone?

NOT EXPECTED: SO many dudes in tighty-tight tights

EXPECTED: Sword fighting

NOT EXPECTED: Harry potter with a GIRL on a LEASH.
ummm....??

EXPECTED: Knight riding down the road

NOT EXPECTED: THIS
There were many of these but this one we call the "mother load". Fitting, yes?

EXPECTED: Throne room complete with King and Queen

NOT EXPECTED: Washed up Cinderella

NOT EXPECTED: Genghis Khan
But cool costume!

EXPECTED: Jousting!

NOT EXPECTED: Gushing bloody death at end of tournament.
O.o

THE END
See ya, weirdos!

And just because I KNOW you wanted one more look...

Joy of Service. Marshmallow Castles. Chicken Skins.

Not much happened this week. This post has potential for boringness. :)

1. Dentist visit. Yay. My front teeth don't line up exactly the way they used to and it's annoying.

___________________________________________________
2. Our branch has playgroup every Wednesday and someone's house and this past Wednesday it was here! It was lots of fun! I need to invite people over more often so I keep my house clean.

___________________________________________________
3. Went to the dermatologist for a check up. Lots of good news there:
A) I don't have to go back for check ups unless I start breaking out again,
B) I can do both my medicines in the morning instead of one in the AM and one in the PM,
C) I don't have to wait 30 min after my face wash to do one of the medicines!! (do you know how many times I fought to stay awake for 30min late at night?!?!)
and D) I don't have to take the antibiotic anymore! I stunk at remembering to take it anywho.

So a big YEEHOO all around!

4. Our family cleaned up the grassy common area/drainage ditch by our neighborhoods mailboxes. (I won't say whether or not I put up fliers to invite everyone to come clean and I won't say whether or not anyone else came...)
But 1 hour and 4 trash bags later, our street and the grassy area is all clean!

It felt good.

___________________________________________________
5. Speaking of feeling good, I've got a new goal for myself. When I get overwhelmed and am screaming for some 'me time', I'm going to do something for someone else!
I too often forget the joy I feel after serving. And not only will I feel good but the person I served will, also! It's a win-win!

___________________________________________________
6. I LOVE being a Pampered Chef consultant. But the hardest part is starting. And since we moved, I had to 'start' all. over. again.
I have to make new contacts and I can't do that if I'm not doing shows and I can't do shows if I don't have contacts. ARGH!

I've been trying and I could be trying harder but I'm just too much of a chicken to walk up to strangers and ask them to host. I would think it's creepy if someone did that to me so I don't want to do it... :( Boo hoo.

Have you busted out your violins to play me a sad song yet?

___________________________________________________
7. Oh my craziness in Japan! Facebook has been flooded with insane pictures and videos of all the destruction that has happened.
My heart goes out to all those families who have lost absolutely everything and also to all those who have lost family members as well.
I can't even imagine the heartache of loosing so much all at once.
I hope I never have to, either.

___________________________________________________
8. Adam and I have started dating again! We get paid every other Thursday so the Friday after payday we go out to eat or do something and the the other 'poor' Friday we do a cheap, stay home date! I've been getting some really good ideas from The Dating Divas. Haven't done any of their dates yet but I will!

This past Friday was a cheap date and we stayed in and built castles out of marshmallows and toothpicks!

Adam's cool dome castle with a mini reeses on top

My less impressive-looking castle

The boys have been helping us to eat them.

9. My sweet little sunbeam brought me a flower back from church! His teacher told them to give their flower to someone to make them happy.

That little boy makes me happy every day. :)

___________________________________________________
10. Speaking of that little boy: He loves Toy Story. We watch one of the 3 Toy Story movies at least 3x a week. Here's a cute video of Anthony watching the beginning of TS2. The first half isn't has cute/funny as the second half.

Poo. It's still not working.

11. Bad decision of the week: reading the ingredients of Campbell's Healthy Request Chicken and Rice soup. EW.

12. That's it for now. Got some exciting stuff coming up this week! Bachelor Finale tonight, a massage, Bath and Body Works fragrance party... Wahoo!

Oh, and Adam's birthday is coming up in 9 days!
