And so....

We are still without a camera that produces anything but blurry pictures, so.... I will just do a little typing to fill in the space.

Caleb...

is a great Bass player, and volunteered to be the Phantom of the Opera in his schools Halloween concert. He looked pretty good for a last minute costume, and played really well!

is in the middle of his 7th grade year, and all he can think about is how much he hates school and how much he can't wait until he is in High School. Obviously, he doesn't have the experience yet to tell him that High School is way harder than 7th grade, so if he thinks it will be all fun and games, he has another think coming.

is doing really well on his scouting. I wish scouting had merit badges for being nice to his parents, maybe he would work on that too. But, they say boys who get their Eagle grow up to make really good decisions in life. If that is so, go Caleb, get that Eagle. ps. Will they take a check?

Delaney...

is growing up faster than I would like. She asks me a lot lately if she looks cool. Uh-oh. She is already seeking approval at 4. What happens when she is 14?

is loving preschool. She and her little friend Gracyn tell me all the new things that teacher Jen teaches them on the way home each day, and I must say Delaney is learning quite a bit! Hooray for preschool.

got a haircut from her mommy a couple days ago, and mommy almost had a mega-fit. Try cutting a straight line with a little girl who can't sit still for more than 2 seconds at a time. And to make matters worse, we did it in my bathroom in front of the mirror. Bad idea. What makes a little girl who wants to look cool pose a million ways? A mirror! Stop moving Delaney. But I want to see if I look cool! Ahhhhhhhh!!!!!

Deacon...

is truly 2. Now that we just had his birthday celebration, he has decided it is now time to act like a 2 year old. He has cried more in the last three weeks, than he has in his whole 2 years before that combined.

is shocking me in every way possible with how quickly he is learning new things and picking up on all we say. He sings Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and know which number comes next if you are counting 1-10, and a million other things. He is my little smarty pants.

is quite possibly ready to potty train. When we are out, and we need to use the public restrooms every 8 minutes (thank you Delaney), he wants to sit on the potty. When he is poopy, he says "eeew...butt, eeew...butt" to me. So today, I put him on the potty for the first time and he sat there for a minute, did nothing, and then said to me "wipe!" Wouldn't that be crazy if my son potty trained faster than my daughter?

Me...

just going crazy.

missing my family.

a slight bit Twilight obsessed (I knew I shouldn't have read those books!).

Chris...

bringing home a real paycheck twice a month.

making me miserable with all his snoring and popping and RLS at night.

still doing the dishes, because I hate to. Thanks!

Can't wait for the holidays! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Merry Christmas all! and finally Happy New Year friends!

Truly Pathetic

So it is really sad that I have not posted anything since our Christmas post, but in my defense, our camera is broken, and so what fun is a post with no pictures. Anyway, I will tell you the tales of our life minus all the pretty pictures. So, in March, we decided to drive Caleb out to spend the rest of the school year with his mom, which we thought he needed. And it was good while it lasted, but because of various reasons, when Caleb came home for the summer, it was actually for good. He will be with us forever, which is a good thing, since I think he needs the type of surroundings our home and lifestyle bring. Not to mention how much everyone misses him when he is gone. It is heartbreaking to hear Delaney ask when Caleb will be coming home.

In May, the little ones and I went out to visit Granny in California with Clisty and her girls. We had a great time, and I miss Granny, and everyone else that I love and enjoy spending time with in California. We got to visit the Childrens Discovery Museum, the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz, and various other fun places, while Cindy and the kids were up to visit.

Right now, we are enjoying a long visit from Cindy, Lannah, Maelee, and Nixon, and Garrett will be here this weekend. It has been great having them around so much, and makes us wish they lived here again.

Last week, Caleb and Chris went to Scout Camp and had a great time, especially doing the outdoorsy things that boys love to do. Caleb did really well in earning his merit badges and passing things off, and constantly talks about getting his Eagle. I sure hope that he will continue to work on that. It would make us very proud.

Otherwise things are moving along, albeit at a fast yet slow pace. Anyone who has kids knows what I mean. Time seems to fly by and yet it seems as if they have also been in your life forever. I love every moment of being a stay-at-home mom, and feel very blessed that Chris makes it so. Thanks Chris, for all you do. I love you.

I hope everyone out there is doing great, or at least plugging along in a pleasant fashion. Good Afternoon, Good Evening, and Good Night. (The first person to guess what movie that comes from gets an awesome virtual hug from me)

Life isn't always kind, but at least Santa is...

My title is a perfect fit for this blog, because even though Santa has always been generous, he has yet to give me a photogenic Christmas morning picture!
This is daddy helping Deacon unwrap a very cool snail.
Here is my Delaney, trying on a shirt that she insists is a dress.

For Caleb, the gift opening isn't over until the stocking has been raided. I think he gets that from me. (Haha)

An overjoyed Christopher.

Deacon loves his new shape sorter!

What a pretty girl!

Cool duds, my man!

My soon-to-be little reader.

We were really lucky to have been able to go out to Hanford to be with my guys, the Barths, for Christmas. We sure miss you guys!

Sweet Ballerina Boy

So, I guess it is time I update. This is the cutest baby boy on Earth. Caleb decided to dress Deacon in Delaneys ballerina tutu. But he is so handsome in his red shirt that I think he looks perfect!!

Funny Faces in the Bath

Delaney is my little bath fish. She loves to take a bath almost everyday, but then fakes me out by saying she has to go potty, thus getting out of the bath without getting washed, and then telling me she doesn't have to go potty anymore. She's sneaky!

Anyhow, here are a few of her bath faces.

This one is my favorite.

The Ball Brothers Two

So, here are the boys just having fun together, and sharing hats. So cute!

One Seriously Beautiful Girl

This is my little lady. I think she just looks exceptionally beautiful and sweet in this picture, and I just had to brag!

Sweeter than Sweet

Scrub a dub dub.

This is my sweet child all wrapped up like a little candy. He is the easiest baby in the world and I am so grateful for him.
