Ketupat Palas
Ketupat Palas is a type of dish normally served during Eid celebration. However nowadays you can get them all yer round in some places in Malaysia.
It is made of leaf from a type palm tree called Palas. You will need to learn the art of making the ketupat, as it is not an easy job to turn the leaf, and making it into shape before filling it with half-cooked glutinous rice or pulut.
Delicious to eat on its own, the ketupat is always served with rendang or serunding.

Around Taman Tasik Titiwangsa
Lake Titiwangsa was my playground for 3 years during my stay in KTDI (now KTSN).
After cropping the floating rubbishes, the lily looks real pretty.
Abang Kuda DBKL making rounds. I still remember I was fined for parking my cute little yellow kancil on the roadside along Lake Titiwangsa by a makcik kuda long time ago. Sigh!
Red Dragonfly. I wonder who started to cal this little creature as dragons.
The fountains, still the same after a decade.

Lebanese Pickles
Jasmine1, was among a lot of Lebanese restaurant around Sydney. Situated in Bankstown, it was just a few minutes from our house. They served Lebanese delicacies. Pickles is a must with Lebanese cuisine, and they were always served as complementary, normally eaten together with Lebanese bread and dips.
Fresh tomatoes, mint leaves and onion together with pickled chillies.
More pickles; beetroot, zucchini and olives.

SLIDE BATU
Nak panggil papan lungsur, ia dibina daripada batu. Maka dipanggil slide batu.
There are a few huge 'slide batu' around Taiping Lake Garden. I still remember when I was small at one time I called the Lake Garden as 'Bilik Garden', hehe. It was our favourite spot on weekends. The very slide in the picture was already there since I can remember things. Revisiting the slide with my nieces and nephews brought my thoughts to the good old days in the 80's, when outdoor activities were more preferred over video games.
The slide looks old and aged, with rusty metal staircases and its surface were also not as smooth as I used to remember.

Hiding under the clam shell is a baby shark
