November 2016

November brought the start of a new basketball season, which meant going to games for me and the kids. It is SO nice having Alex coach just minutes from our house! It makes going to the games so much easier! Savannah got introduced to the basketball side of life.

Our deck got completed and we love it so much! Already so much time spent out there, and we look forward to years of memories ahead.

Cooper and I started a funny game where I am the sports announcer and he is the player. He acted out all sorts of games with my limited sports knowledge. Cooper continues to be a character - he likes to push buttons but can also be sweet and loving if he feels like it.

(with neighbor friend Grant in their makeshift bucket beds)

Alex and I snuck away for a quick weekend and spent a day at Disneyland. It was unbelievably fun to go on all the rides together that we usually take turns on with the kids. It's always a good relationship refresher to spend quality time like that.

We spent a fun Thanksgiving weekend at the Bates with the Stoddard family. The older kids were in charge of decorating and they did an awesome job!

Savannah shenanigans. Maybe we should call them Savannigans. :)

I could not love these girls more! So proud that they are mine.

Alex took over Sunday cooking duties and makes breakfast, lunch, and dinner almost every week. It's really helped him improve his egg-shell-stacking skills! :)

Winter Weather Watching...

Our family finished a several-year-long goal of reading The Book of Mormon. It took us a long time, much longer than we had hoped, but we did it. I hope that the kids learned even just one thing from reading it cover-to-cover, and more than that I hope it inspired them to read it more on their own. I'm grateful for the knowledge that The Book of Mormon is true and real.

October 2016

School pictures for the elementary school kids, so we snapped a few pictures on their way out.

It was finally time to do the project I had been so ready to do since we moved - board and batten in the entryway! It was a big project but it makes a huge statement when you walk in the door. I started with trimming out the front door and windows and painting the door, and the next week I finished the entryway.

Tyson got creative with my wood scraps.

Soccer was in full swing! Lots of fun games to watch, and I took Savannah along for a lot of them.

We went to the pumpkin patch with Cindy and her kids and Aunt Carla.  We tried a different place this time and it was so fun! They had activities for the kids, a huge variety of pumpkins, and different Halloween toys for the kids to play with while they picked out a pumpkin.

A few days later the kids and I went to Gardner Village for our favorite witches scavenger hunt tradition. I think Alli and Holly will outgrow this very soon but I hope to keep dragging them there as long as they'll let me.

Our loan officer threw a party for clients at Hee Haw Farm so we had a fun family night there.

We took a weekend trip to Boise to stay with the Hills. The Gardners and Marshalls were also there and we had a blast!

Playing with Dad!

Cooper did Itty Bitty Ball and loved it!

Our first Autumn in the new house and I love the beautiful trees the previous owners planted! So perfect in the fall.

Just because she's adorable.

Halloween Night! Savannah's first! We had a minion, Rey, a nerd, the Bat-Bros, and a strawberry.
