Coach Pitch

We were lucky to get Holly on a coach pitch team this year, even though I completely spaced the registration deadline and we had to go on the wait list.  I'm so glad we did!  It has been a fun season and I've loved watching her improve.  She is the only girl on her team - a fact which she does not enjoy - but definitely one of the better hitters.  I'm hoping she's enjoyed her time enough to want to move on to machine pitch next year.  Baseball is a sport I would love to have my kids involved in for a long time.  I love the atmosphere of it.

I love that she sticks out her tongue when she hits the ball.

We Love When Far Far Visits

My dad came to visit a couple weeks ago, and in true Far Far form he made the kids laugh and beg him not to leave.  We all loved having him around!

He made the mistake of telling them he had to leave...they weren't going to let that happen!

DADDY Pictures!

One of my favorite traditions is our annual Father's Day daddy pictures.  We've doing this since Alli and Holly were our only kids and it's so fun to see how they change from year to year.  I love these kids so much!

Odds and Ends

Alli chose Helen Keller as her biography project this year.  It was fun to watch her work so hard on her  presentation board and watch her perform it in class.

My dad came out a couple weeks ago and we got to spend some time hanging out with him at our house and Farm Country.  The peacocks were performing that day and showing us their beautiful feathers!

Brothers.  I am so looking forward to watching them as they grow up.

These two have been getting along exceptionally well the last few months.  I think Tyson might get a little sad when kindergarten starts.

Fun With Cousins

A couple weekends ago Alex was in Logan for a basketball camp, so I decided to take the kids up to watch a game and hang out with the Bates.  My first solo road trip with 5 kids was a success!  Cooper was awake and happy the whole time!  We had a fun, quick overnight trip, but had to head back to get to Holly's coach pitch game.

These silly girls stole my phone.

Earl took the kids fishing and Alli caught a fish!

Alex brought Abby home with him and she spent the next week staying with us.  I'm sure my girls had withdrawals when she left.  She was an excellent house guest and we loved having her here!

We had a very last minute, scramble-to-get-out-the-door trip to Lagoon with the Bates.  The kids had never been there and they loved it!  Tyson especially had a great time and keeps asking when we can go again.

10 YEARS!

We celebrated our 10th Anniversary on June 14th.  I dragged Alex to yet another Tim McGraw concert.  His parents watched the kids for us, and Cooper luckily did great for them, which I was worried about since I hadn't left him before.  We had such a fun night.  Alex made me promise I wouldn't make him go back to Usana Ampitheater again...but what about next time Tim is playing there?

I'm grateful for these first 10 years and excited to see what the next 10, 20, 50 years will bring!

Tim McGraw made his entrance down the closest aisle to us - just 8 chairs away from me, dang it!
