Grandparents are the best

My parents watch my kids while I work a few days a month.  They really are the best.  During my December working days, my mom was so cute and did a little craft with them, took them to Skywalk, and took cute pictures.

Grandparents are sure fun!

Christmas in Tahoe

This year we switched it up and stayed in Tahoe the week before Christmas instead of the week after and experienced Christmas with snow.  It was magical!  When we first arrived to Heavenly, there was no snow, other that the man made snow at the resort.  Thank goodness there was a huge snowstorm on Christmas Eve.
The "Real" santa is in the globe behind us.  This was after we went out for a delicious Christmas Eve dinner near the resort.
We skied the two days before, but Christmas Eve day we relaxed, looked at shops, and saw Big Hero 6 in the theater.
My mom brought costumes for the kids and we read the nativity story.
Opened Christmas Jammies!
Just missing Heather.  We can't wait to see her in just over a month!
Santa loves cookies with sprinkles

We didn't bring everything, so Christmas morning we woke up and opened stockings and the kids opened a few presents.  That was plenty!  They don't need more than that.  Then we skyped Heather!!

And skied on Christmas! Jane is not a fan of the snow.  McKay made some big ski improvements by day 3, and actually enjoyed it!
Matchy matchy.  Bryan let me borrow one of his coats, so we were twiners.  Thank goodness bc it was too cold for my acclimated San Francisco self.
What is Christmas without our traditional ugly matching sweater pic?
And McKay peacefully fell asleep with his new lantern (the only present he asked for this Christmas).  It was a beautiful Christmas Eve and Christmas.
