Road Trip

This all we took on our nearly 4,000 mile, 56 hour drive across the country. The back of the truck was unloaded and reloaded 4 times.

We made our first stop in Spanish Fork, UT to see this cute family. We had a fun day at the pool, participated in some head butting competitions, and played all day.

Then we hung out with Bryan's brother and family in salt lake, but sadly no pictures were taken.

Next stop: 13.5 hour drive to Lincoln, NE
Then: 13 hour drive to Lexington, KY to see the Skanchys.

We fell in Love with Lexington. It is so beautiful and green. We had a great day going to Shaker town, seeing the famous churches of the city, and just hanging out with Lyndsey and Tony. It was so much fun to see these two!

9 hour drive to Valdosta, GA.
7 hour drive to Miami
and we made it!

Here we are worn out and apartment hunting! Luckily that hunt is over.

What country are we in?

After a 56 hour roadtrip, we made it to Miami! Sadly I can't find my camera/computer connecter so no pictures. We found an apartment on the first day and we are so excited! After looking at several ghetto but expensive apartments (that smelled like weed and were in the hood) and dealing with sleezy salesman, we found our winner.

If you have never been to Florida, there is water everywhere: streams, rivers, lakes, ponds, and of course the ocean. Bryan took this picture with his phone while standing in our apartment building (it is also the view from our balcony).
Directly on the other side of the street from our apartment complex is a beautiful state park with mountain biking, hiking, fishing, kayaking, swimming, camping, ect. We went there yesterday and swam and rode around. It was so beautiful, and we didn't even come close to seeing all of it.

1 mile east of our apartment is the beach. If you ever come and visit, take note that the pink bathrooms signify a nude beach. After experiencing some old men nude encounters, seeing larger insects than we have ever seen, and realizing that we can't understand anyone here (even if they are speaking english) I can't help but wonder if we are still in the United States?

We feel like we will be on an exotic vacation for the next year (despite that we will be working and going to school). It still seems surreal that we actually drove across the country to get here. We are in a hotel until the current tenant moves out of our apartment on Monday. So there will be pictures to come.
