you better believe it

As I was waiting in line to get my flu shot, the couple in front of me were both amazed at how they didn't feel it at all and there was no blood. This comforted me a little, but still felt a little like this:I kept my composure of course, being 22 and a nursing student. And then the flu shot man poked me. I definitely felt it, I wasn't crying with pain, but it was noticeable, and there was blood.

Flu shot man: Most people don't bleed. The ones that do usually work out.
Me: great
Flu shot man: (pause) So, do you work out?
Me: (feeling like I was just fed a pick up line) I sure do!

I left feeling rather good. I never seem to notice a difference in my arms, but at least I have more vascular muscles!

4 more months

Unfortunately my break is extremely inconvenient. Bryan is in the middle of school and there is no way he would give up his study time to go on a trip, he's too dedicated. So, I've had to make the most of what I've got. Thursday after our last final, some of my school friends and I went on a little hike (which I don't have pictures of), which was way fun and relaxing. So much fun that we planned to go on another one the next day. One of my besties from high school, Christa randomly showed up at my doorstep that night so she joined us on our hike.

It was seriously so much fun. I am going to miss the beautiful mountains in Utah. When I'm hiking or in the mountains, I always feel like I can think and reevaluate my life and the things that are important to me.
Well Christa, with her amazing convincing power, talked me into going to Idaho with her to visit my cute sis Kara for her birthday. It was a quick trip, but it was a lot of fun to see her.

(This is from a little over a year ago. I'm diggin Kara's disco gear)

I then convinced my husband to go on a hike with me. As you can see, I'm obsessed with hiking lately.

I told him to squat so I could get more of the background and this is what I get. Looks like an angry cat on all fours to me.

And now, after completely organizing my stuff, making a huge bag of clothes and books to get rid of, writing all my missionary girls, making the house spotless, running random little errands, distracting my husband from studying, and now updating our blog, I think I'm ready to go back to school and pound out my last semester.
