Memorial Day Weekend

We spent the holiday on the Little Red with Lauren and Graydon visiting from Dallas; The Gostomski's were at their cabin next door. We had a chilled out fishing weekend. We avoided the lake b/c the water levels were sooo high. Brady lost his first tooth and the tooth fairy found him just fine!

Brad getting the boys all ready for their fishing expedition.

Graydon concentrating hard on those trout!

Terry and Ross (aka the fish whisperer) fishing off their dock.

Camille making a statement: "You may not let me fish yet, but I can dress the part!!!!"

Cooper received his very first yearbook at the end of Kindergarten and I couldn't resist getting out mine and Brad's yearbooks to compare. First question out of the boys' mouths, "Why is everything black and white?"

There is me on the bottom row, third from left....Thanks DADDY for my crooked bangs....that is child abuse right there--hahaha!

The next question the boys had is "WHY DID DAy DDY DRAW IN A BOOK?????" OH, and just in case you can't spy Brad....he is the one with the pirate patch, 2nd row -- 3rd from left! Maybe my hairdo wasn't so bad afterall. We had alot of fun that night sharing stories.

This is a picture of Cooper at his school library. He had a great year at Woodrow Cummins Elementary. Mrs Thone was the best teacher we could have ever asked for! She is definitely doing the job that is perfect for her. Cooper never once had a "card change" the entire year! So proud of that!!!!!

Fun with the Fish Fam

This is my attempt at a group foto of all 5 kiddos. The top pic they were all dancing and spinning on the circle rug. The bottom pic the babies were gated off the staircase and they just stood there wishing they were older.

Riding out the Storms

With all of those crazy tornadoes across the South, we got to spend some quality time in the closet underneath our staircase this spring. Thank goodness for Nintendo DS games because it kept the boys distracted from the tornado sirens. They did get nervous though and Cooper said, "We need to pray right now", and we did just that. As much as I try to avoid all the negative news channels, the boys are aware that alot of people lost homes and lives with these storms. They pray everynight for that our family and friends don't get sick and that no tornadoes come. They have asked me multiple times, "Why didn't all those people say prayers that night so the tornado wouldn't have hurt them?" I struggle with how to explain these types of things, but I just said God creates wind and rain, but sometimes the wind and rain get a bit out of control. Because I know those people were all praying when they were trying to ride out the storm.

In our new house, Brad built our laundry room into a storm shelter so we could have better protection and more room. We have too many kids for the amount of space in that understairs closet!!!
