Santa's lap

Lucky me...my kids have never minded sitting on Santa's lap. Every year we have gone to Dazzle Daze to get a snapshot taken. The boys never wavered....requesting Nintendo DS games!

Happy 1st Birthday Camille

The Saturday before Camille's "real" birthday, we celebrated with some friends and family at our home. Below are some pics....narrated by Millie Bear herself

Grandpa tell me what all is going on...it seems like a party!

OOOOOH! Baby Tins--I recognize that sweater--I wore one just like it last winter! LOL! Also, I'm really intrigued by your interesting paci. Don't look so scared, I'm your friend--we will have great times together--you just gotta get a little bigger!

My sweet Tory even came to celebrate.

JT, Brady, Coop and Lizzy eating some lunch waiting for me to get ready for bday cake

Liz even came all the way from OK City and spoiled me with lots of new bathtub toys--thank goodness b/c the hotwheels are getting a bit tiring.

Momma and Daddy gave me a new ride! Love cruisin around.

The most fun of the entire party--tissue paper party!

GET THIS CAKE OFF OF ME RIGHT NOW, please and thankyou

The big kids found some fun times playing in the leaves outside but that does not interest me at all. Parker is upstairs playing with the train table...as usual.

JT piling up some leaves. I'm just hangin with his sis inside.

I just can't keep my eyes off you my darling dear, Carson. Don't look like you want someone to rescue you. I love you. Thanks for a great party. Can't wait til next year!

Thanksgiving 2010

We spent Thanksgiving at our cabin and if this picture tells you anything, we had a wonderful time. We have so many things to be thankful for as shown in the pics below.

Brady caught his first fish!

Terry and Allison in true form....T with his hats, A doing some shopping.

Katie got warmed up with some babysitting, which was extremely helpful.

Cooper directing Ellie and Ross on "Pin the hangy-down-thing on the Turkey"

Not quite turkey, but chicken nuggets and fruit were a hit for Brees and Romo. Btw, we credit Brady to the Saints beating the Cowboys, b/c each time Brady would actually change into Saints gear they would do better. (that boy changes clothes at least 20 times a day)

Brad's mom and her husband drove up from Baton Rouge which was a real treat. We had a wonderful visit and lots of yummy food.

Camille enjoyed her first Thanksgiving. She tried a bit of everything-- she even liked the fried turkey:)

Come Saturday, we tried to rally for the Tigers

We even all got tatoos

But based on her expression, it was not enough for those mean ol hogs...they still beat us:(

Yes, Your Majesty

A few weekends ago, we attended a charity event called "A Royal Night Out". It raised funds for Community Connections that creates extra-curricular activities for children with disabilities. The royalty theme was really cool. All the kids dressed as either knights or princesses and had supervised activities while the adults had a sit down dinner and live/silent auction. The entertainment was amazing -- all performed by the Community Connections children.
The royaly theme helped me come up with the title of this post...Yes, Your Majesty. What is sooo funny is that we have "trained" the kids to say that to me if they really want something. They don't use it very often, but when they do....they usually get what they want, b/c it is so darned cute. Oh, and don't worry...the one-liner they use on Brad is "Yes Sir, General Patton".

Finally...Halloween Night

After a month of anticipation and pre-parties, finally it was Halloween night. Their "official" costumes were to be Power Rangers, but Brady defected to Batman at the last minute. He pretty much wears 2-3 costumes per day/year round! We joke that he lives in Bradyland!

Literally minutes before we leave to Trick or Treat, Brad comes down with flu-like symptoms. I didn't realize how bad he really felt so I made him come out and snap a few pics. The kids did great T or Ting--alot of other houses were out T or Ting also and they had left a bowl of candy with a sign "take 2 pieces" or "take 3 pieces". The superheroes read the notes and followed the instructions to a T.
Then, the real fun....they LOVED handing out candy. Our pink power ranger was fascinated by the shiny/crinkly wrappers. I had my hands full b/c by this time Brad is bedridden. Brady would diligently hand out 2 or 3 pieces and Cooper would give out handfuls to some people. When I asked him why....he answered matter of factly "some of those people have big bellies and need alot of candy"

Finally, it was time to get baths and go to bed. Cooper made this sign all on his own. "you can get how many pieces you want 1,000" He said I don't want people to just get 2 or 3, I want them to get 1,000. So we put it on the basket & guess what--it was empty in about 10 minutes!
We all survived (including Brad)!

Pre-Halloween Festivities

We love Halloween at our house...it is just so much fun, but this year I felt like I had run a marathon b/c it was a long Halloween season at the Johnson household. We started at Disneyworld for the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween parade and then we did a few other things I thought I would share.

An early surprise Bday dinner for Miss Adrienne (thrown by all five kiddos) since her bday is on Halloween. We made my famous (not so famous) spider cake!

We spent a weekend at the cabin and attended a quaint downtown Trunk or Treating event. They even had a goat dressed up in a mardi gras sequined gown--I really felt like I was in Arkansas & Louisiana--lol! The above pic is what the kids bunkroom floor looks like constantly!

The boys stood on this bench and were talking (about who knows what) for a good 30 minutes.

Brady at his preschool party. He could not wait to wear his "kel-uh-kin" jammies to school. This is him coming out of the spooky tunnel.

Our skeleton even sported a faux-hawk for the party...

This cutie patootie's shirt has a princess on it and says "cute costume". just adorable!

Miss Victoria and an early reveal of the pink power ranger. Victoria's mom was so nice to convert this 5T costume to fit Camille.

The other 2 power rangers playing games at a church festival.

The boys making our jack-o-lantern. This was completed about 30 minutes before we changed into costumes....
