Your Sins Will Find You Out...Or At Least Your Mother Will

That is what Karis learned today. Hailey had a pack of gum she hid in their room. I thought it was awfully quiet...which is never a good thing...and went to check on Karis. She was oh so subtly hiding in her bed under her covers.....and this is what I saw. Gum hanging out of her mouth in case you can't tell! What a silly girl.....
As my neighbor says, "She is so darn cute how could you ever get mad at her?"

Halloween- A Very Busy Day!

Getting ready to trick or treat.

Hailey's class....aren't they cute?
Hailey saying her little poem....

The cookies we decorated.

The pumpkin shaped toast for breakfast.

Well Halloween is over.....and I am a bit relieved I must confess. It was quite a busy day!!

This is how it went:
8:00- Girls got up and we made pumpkin shaped toast
8:30- We decorated Pumpkin cookies for Hailey's Preschool class- a huge mess of sprinkles everywhere
10:30- Dropped Karis off at a friend's house and took Hailey to Speech
12:00- Took Hailey to Preschool
1:30- Picked Karis up from her friend's and went to Hailey's school for her Halloween party.
Had a great time at the party....Hailey did a little Pumpkin rhyme with her friends, we played games and had lots of treats.
3:30- Went downtown for trick or treating...all the businesses and shop pass out candy. Very fun and we saw lots of friends
5:00- Went to church for pizza and a party...the pizza never came so
5:45- Went to Wing Central (delicious hamburgers) with some friends for dinner
6:30- Met some more friends at their house and went trick-or-treating
7:30- Went to our neighbor's house trick-or-treating
8:30- Came home and put the girlies to bed.....

Now we have 3 big buckets of candy to enjoy until Christmas I would imagine......

Oh in case you can't tell:
Hailey was a butterfly
Karis a skunk with a heart on the bottom that said, "Little Stinker"- very appropriate since that is one of our nicknames for her. She walked around saying, "I'm a little stinker!"

Avery was an octopus and she learned how to say, "tick-o-teat"!!
Happy Halloween and Good Night!

A Blogging Tag Type Game

OK so I have read about people getting tagged on their blog so I thought I would invent a new type of game. Here are the rules:
1. Think of someone whose blog you stalk regulary.
2. List several clues about that person.
3. Everyone reads your blog and tries to figure out who it is.
4. Once they figure it out they go to that person's blog....not yours...and leave a cryptic clue that only those playing the game would understand. (The clue has to have some of the original bloggers own words from their clues about the person. And they have to leave it in the person's most recent post. )
Then I will check the person's blog and see who won!
And if you win you get to play next.

OK round 1!
Here are my clues:

1. She has dark hair and pretty blue eyes.
2. She has the gift of wisdom and organization.
3. She is a very devoted wife and mother.
4. She is a great auntie.
5. She is good with money.
6. She is funny and very honest.
7. She is a wonderful sister and friend.
8. She is probably rolling her eyes right now.
9. Her nickname is woonie-toonie.

First one to guess and get to her blog is the winner!!

This is for you Aunt Ginger...

So my Aunt Ginger thinks my girls are too girly.....personally I don't know how anyone could be too girly but anyway.....she decided they needed a little craftsman tool set....where here you go Ging....Karis is wearing the goggles with her ballet suit, I was thinking how proud you would be.....until she said, "These are my swimming goggles...I am swimming in the pool" Sorry Ging...no manual labor out of this one either......

Although I think Hailey is showing some real potential with that hammer.....

The Girl's Playroom

So I thought I would feature different parts of our house on the blog (can you tell I am enjoying blogging). So here is one of their favorite rooms...their play room.

A Lazy Afternoon

So once again Karis refused to nap and Hailey came home from school quite worn out so we made some homemade popcorn on the stove (delicious) and watched Strawberry Shortcake and just relaxed....

HOT....

So I could go off about what a great husband Scott is, I could talk about how he is so patient and loving with the girls and with me, I could say how I appreciate how helpful he is as soon as he gets home from a long day of work- bathes the girls, cleans their room, mops the floor, entertains the girls, I could say what a godly man he is- studies the Bible and applies it to his daily life, I could mention the many hours he volunteers at church with Men's Ministry, I could mention how he supports my ministry- watches the girls every Tuesday so I can lead a group of college woman, I could say how he always compliments me and how romantic he is but instead I am just going to say one word that describes him and I think you will all agree- the man is HOT!!

This.....

So Avery has a new word...."this". It actually works really well...I say, "Avery-What's in your mouth?" To which she responds...."this". I say, "Avery-What are you holding?" to which she responds...."this". I say, "Avery- What are you doing?" to which she ....well you get the picture.....

A Comments Post

So most of you know I am not very good on the computer. Well I wanted to thank everyone for the comments....some of you I haven't heard from in awhile so it is so great to catch up this way....I can't figure out how to find your e-mail to reply back so that is why I haven't but it is great hearing from you....nieces, friends, sister-in-laws.....etc......

My Little Scrapbooker

So Hailey is quite the little scrapbooker....whenever I am upstairs scrapping she is sure to join in. She is so creative, she will cut, glue, and draw all afternoon and I love her layouts. So I have to show off a few...notice the embelishments....she is really into buttons these days...

We Saw the Princesses

So Hailey and Karis are so into princessess...so into them....so when I saw Disney on Ice was coming I had to take the girls. They had a wonderful time!!! Karis cried when Mickey and Minnie came out (she was "scared to deaf"), she was also terrified basically anytime a non-princess was out- the 7 dwarfs, Alladin, anyone not in a tiara......but other than that she had a great time. We went with "Gamma", Grandma Ruby, and Sadie. Here are some photos: The photo quality is awful....I should have asked Dave (my good photographer friend) for some tips before I attempted to take these photos but Oh well...you get the idea. The girls wore their princess clothes...right down to the shoes...of course it hurt too much to walk in them so I ended up carrying Karis most of the way. She had her Christmas dress on from last year....finally decided on that after changing 3 times!! We completed the day with lunch at the Olive Garden.

Perhaps I Should Be Supervising A Little More....

As my little single sister Rachael pointed out...if I wasn't spending so much time blogging maybe these things wouldn't happen......

I thought it was a little too quiet so I went to check on Karis. She was sitting on Avery's changing table (in the same gymnastic outfit she has worn since Sunday) spreading vaseline all over her arms and legs. Thick, greasy layers of non-water-soluble vaseline. This may have been humorous if it wasn't the 4th time she has done this. Thankfully I got in before she did her hair....she usually covers it as well....oh well....

Oh an another Rachaelism...I asked her if she had read my blog yet and she responded: "Blogs are for stay-at-home mothers who have nothing else to do all day......"

Oh the day when she can stay home with little ones and do nothing all day.....

Actually I know she was totally kidding and doesn't mean that because she has experienced my children for a couple of days and I think she was rather exhausted....and that was when there were only two.

Baby Gabriel!

I am so excited because I finally got to meet Baby Gabriel Cox. He is soo cute and so happy, he reminded me of a little puppy dog...he kept making this cute little panting sound and just beaming at me. I think he was beaming at me because he knows without me he would not exist. The reason being is I am the one who introduced his parents!! My very good friend Heidi and my long-time childhood friend Brian.....I set them up and they are living happily ever after. I am just God's humble servant. (I have only had a small amount of set-ups not work out so if you are single and in need of a mate let me know. Unfortunately my list of girls is much longer than of guys....)

Anyway....Brian and Heidi came through on their way from Spokane to Seattle and stopped by for the afternoon. It was so fun to catch up, we always have a lot of laughs......So I love you guys and I miss you but I am glad we are living somewhat closer to each other these days!! Your baby is soooo adorable and you are doing a great job as parents!!!

(And I still can't figure out how to turn the pic so that is why it is going the wrong way.)

On a side not Gabriel weighs 18 pounds! He is four months and he weighs the same as Avery who is 1 year!!!

Karis' Birthday Party

Karis is so blessed because she is surrounded by good friends. Our small group which we joined when we moved here has 6 couples and 13 girls!!! She also has a couple of other friends from other playgroups.....so here are some Birthday Party snapshots. We played: Pin the bow on Hello Kitty and Pass the Kitty. The girls decorated placemats with glitter glue and then all got dressed up in princess clothes and danced. I didn't plan that activity it just happened....as it does anytime there is an event involving Karis. They ate cupcakes and cookies and had a great time!

Happy 3rd Birthday Karis!

So they say time flies with kids....it really, really does! I can't believe Karis is 3 today!! We just got finished celebrating her Birthday with her little friends and Hello Kitty. She had lots of fun and now is playing on our bed with all her new toys. Her favorite being her bitty baby stuff I think....Karis- I love you so much. You are seriously the busiest little girl I have ever known.....into everything....you are so passionate and spirited and I am so glad God blessed us with you. Life is never boring with you around. You have a tender, caring heart. We love you little Girl.....

By the way I experimented with fondant for the cake I and love the results...much easier for me than decorating frosting...

And Just One More Post

So can you tell I have been reading lots of bloggers in the last few weeks and wishing I had my own blog and now that I do I have all these things I want to share....so just one more tonight...if I keep this up I won't have time to scrapbook anymore.....

Here are the girlies looking so cute....Hailey got some new jeans and she loves them. She is quite the little fashion plate. Karis got this new ballet outfit and a matching one for her bitty baby so she has worn it non stop....good thing the weather was nice today....

Why I Love Living Here

So I thought I would post some pictures of some of the beautiful scenary I get to see everyday living here. We are so blessed to live just 5 minutes from town yet feel like we are out in the country. We have a great neighborhood and it is so peaceful here.

Thanks Auntie Rach!

So Auntie Rach gave the girls some fun Halloween treats. Avery got a cute pumpkin fork and spoon that she loves. The girls got some fun nail polish (which Karis painted her entire toes with and then spilled all over the floor), some lip gloss, bubbles, stickers, and candy. Can you say "Rachael is the best!" They sure can!!

Can You Believe This?

So I had to wait for this until I was 12 years old......

However Hailey started begging for this a few weeks ago.....

I said, "Ask your Daddy." Thinking he would say NO.

He said, "Sure...why not?" I said, "Because.....umm...because she should be older."

So at the ripe old age of 4 she got: her ears pierced!

You may be asking...Why is the photo of Karis then?

Well as those who know me well know I can't pass up a coupon....after Hailey got hers done without one single tear I might add....a coupon for 10$ off the next piercing came up. I said, "Karis do you want to get yours done?" So yes I allowed my 2 year old to be permanately altered. Of course she was thrilled until that night when she was really overtired and starting crying....."I didn't want to get my ears pierced" OH the guilt I felt then......but now she loves it because she is after all a princess....and princesses wear lots of jewels.....
Oh an the line on her face would be where she drew all over herself with marker....a daily occurance here at the Hoefer House.....at least it wasn't with permanent marker....I have actually gotten rid of all non-washable markers since my girls think paper is only to write on after clothes, walls, skin, and carpet have been sufficiently decorated....

My Favorite Time of Day

So some people have asked me how I manage to have time to scrapbook with three small children and this is how.....NAPTIME.....I am not much of a schedule type person when it comes to babies.....in fact I'm not at all in regards to feeding but once they hit around 6 months I become a bit of a nap-nazzi.... So everyday I put the girls down at the same time, I do everything possible to keep them awake until nap time so that I can have some time to myself. And for us it has been really easy...they just seem to lay down and nap and usually for 2-3 hours. I know I am very blessed in this because not all children nap well but thankfully mine do.....until they reach that age....well I think Karis is there....while I was up here blogging away I thought I heard something....and this is what I found in the living room......and she looks up with her cute little face and says, "I will have a good attitude." How could I resist? She is now laying on the couch watching noggin...the main reason we pay for cable by the way......
OK so I can't figure out how to turn the photo....can someone help me?

Scrapbooking

So I am still totally into scrapbooking. I have been doing it for over 10 years I think. Anyway someone requested to see some of my layouts and since I have NO idea how to scan and show them I just took a photo of a couple to show. So the quality isn't the best but until I become a little more computer savvy this will have to do. So these are two of my latest layouts. I recently got the quickutz silhouette and I LOVE IT!! It is an amazing machine that actually cuts out any font, any size from my computer!!!

1st Annual Hoefer Family Hoedown

So we decided to have a harvest type festival here at the house. It was great, all of my siblings except Mike were here along with all the spouses and cousins, even Grandma and Papa and Grandma Ruby came! We had lots of fun activities: roasting marshmallows, tractor rides, costume parade, cookie decorating, bobbing for apples, games, pumpkin picking and decorating. What a fun day!
