Yummy! Real food!
Ellie had her six month check up on October 3rd. She was 14 pounds 7 ounces and 27.5 inches. Everything looked great! She had to have four shots so that made her a very unhappy baby for the next few days.
The spoon is my favorite part of eating.
On Thursday she had her first cereal. We waited until Jacob got home to try it. Of course we had to video tape this important moment. She loved the cereal so much that she would grab the spoon and try to help me put it in her mouth. We managed to get cereal on almost every inch of our head and we had to have a bath.
This is Ellie in one of her favorite dresses.
Ellie's other biggest accomplishment has been becoming a pro at sitting up by herself. She looks like such a big girl. I have included a few of the pictures of this so you can see her new skill. She will also sit in the inside of her boppy and play with her toys for the longest time.

We have included pictures of Ellie wearing Jacob's favorite hat before, but we had to include a few more of the recent pictures. She loved wearing it while she was playing with her toys! And daddy likes to secretly put it on her whenever he can.

One day Ellie and I were at Mimi's house cooking some food. We had put Ellie on the counter in her bumpo seat. When we turned around to see what she was up to she had grabbed a roll of paper towels and was going to town. This was one picture we did not want to leave off the blog. This is one of those fun moments in life that you have to catch on camera.

I also had to include some pictures of Ellie in a dress that her Aunt Holly gave her. It really brings out the blue on Ellie's eyes. We took these on a Sunday afternoon after church. I am hoping to get another blog up soon. We went to California for a week which is why most of you have not heard from us lately. We have some great pictures and stories to tell from the vacation. We will try to get these up this week. We missed you all while we were gone!
