Baby Belly Update

Yes, I'm turning into one of those girls that posts a photo of her growing belly progress.
BUT listen...
Here's why:
I lost 30 lbs throwing up for almost 3 months
so it's nice to see that I'm making progress in the right direction.
I guess it's more for me than you.
Happy?
I am. I totally feel better.

This is me at 17 weeks.
Britt agrees, I finally look pregnant.
Maybe I just ate too much for Thanksgiving :)
Plus, check out the massive tree the Copes chopped down! haha

On a another, cuter note:
Look at my ADORABLE nephew!!
I can't wait to snuggle him in a few short weeks!!
I can't wait, holding cute babies is so soothing, and helps me see the end goal!
Happy Holidays!!
Cheers!

Trying to Be Tough

So I've kinda been a slacker when it comes to being grateful on my blog everyday, BUT I've been doing my best to be a grateful girl all month.

It has been easier to be grateful since I've been feeling a lot better, and it was SO much easier to be grateful while visiting St. George, but it's been tougher since we came home.

I miss my St. George home and family, but it's ok because we get to spend  THREE WEEKS there for Christmas!!! AND my cute brother and his cute family will be in town for TWO WEEKS!!! WAHHOOO!!!

SO, I just have to be happy for like 16 ish more days and it'll be a huge party everyday.

Grateful List
-that I ate like a king all week last week without puking, big steps people
-that we may or may not know the gender of our cute little baby!! SO EXCITED!
-I have the best in-laws
-my awesome husband
-fun games with the family
-laughing with the fam about stupid things
-bonding with the sibs over cards, super smash, and clue
-so much to look forward to
-the HAPPY Christmas season
-smiles
-my baby belly is starting to show a little
-Nativity scenes and Christmas villages
-Christmas lights and decorations
-Christmas Traditions :)
-Picking out gifts for loved ones
-my home health nurse
-schedules working out
-new tv shows
-showers
-funny siblings
-sister time

That's all for this moment. I'll have some pictures coming soon, and possibly an all about me post I was tagged to do.
Much peace and love!!

Little Details and Some Gratefulness

Hey kiddos! Just wanted to say hello and share some fun things with ya! You may or may not have seen two of these photos on instagram, but if not here ya go!

This first lovely is of yours truly with my 16 week baby belly.
My mom doesn't think it counts, but it's definitely progress for me.
I know, I look super awesome. Pajamas is all I wear these days. :)
Oh, and we put up our tree yesterday. It's so happy!!
We've been trying to get things in order/cleaned before we head to San Jorge for Thanksgiving,
so here is a photo of my cutie husband doing laundry, all on his own.
I'm so lucky. What a good guy.
This next one is of my latest and greatest food obsession/craving.
I would call them more obsessions than cravings because I get stuck on one or a few things for a while
until it makes me sick, and then I move on to something else.
Today I'm grateful for lots
-my sweet husband
-my family
-showers
-Thanksgiving
-trips to St. George
-IV's making me feel better
-clean laundry
-clean sheets
-feeling good enough to do some housework
-Christmas music
-photos of adorable newborn nephews
-fresh festive nail polish
-gender ultrasounds
(more on that later...!!!)

Have a super Monday and AWESOME Thanksgiving!!

I'm grateful for medicine that keeps me alive and helps me function.

Grateful for the pretty snow, and even more grateful a lot of it has melted and it's safer to drive.

Grateful for this cute family....
...AND grateful this little guy finally made his debut!
(and can't wait to see them all at Christmas!!)

Grateful for these little sillies and can't wait to squeeze and play with them next week!!

Grateful for these two and and all they do!!

Grateful for this guy, and all he does for me everyday!

So happy it's Friday, and feeling good and grateful!
Have a lovely day!

Grateful for...

Today I'm grateful for:

  • showers
  • popcorn
  • good smelling lotion that doesn't make me gag
  • game apps
  • a happy, helpful husband
  • clean unmentionables
  • food that tastes good to me

Today has been a good day. Some of my little victories today are brushing my teeth without gagging, gaining half a pound and showering without feeling too yucky.

Trying to be Grateful

So since I last posted about my pregnancy some things have happened, I'll fill you in.

I've:
  • been diagnosed with Hyperemesis Gravidarum (more info in my last post and here)
  • continued to throw up a lot
  • lost most of my appetite
  • have many food aversions
  • lost almost 30 lbs
  • went to the ER a second time
  • am now on home health IV therapy
  • found some solace and support here and here.
  • prayed a lot
There are more things, but those are the highlights. It's been hard and I'm trying very much to be grateful and have a good attitude these days because I have to take it one day at a time no matter what, and I figure I might as well try to be happy.

Also since it's November, the month of gratitude, I'm going to try to post at least one thing I'm grateful for, and some little victories that I've had for the day.

I'm grateful for:
  • my loving, caring husband
  • the people that don't leave me alone, no matter how much I ask them to (my mom, dad, and fam)
  • my friends
  • our ward
  • my faith
  • prayer
  • in home IV therapy
  • my picc line
  • IV anti nausea medication
  • my nurses and doctors
  • health insurance
  • healthy baby
  • fruit roll-ups
  • oranges
  • strawberries
  • popsicles
  • Harry Potter audiobooks online
  • texting
  • pictures and movies of silly nieces and nephews
  • Netflix
There's a whole lot more, but I'll save some for the rest of the month. Now that I've got some good bases covered, we can get into te really silly things I seem to be grateful for these days.

Have a lovely day!

Friday Night Date In the ER

As some of you may know, we are expecting a little bundle of joy in May, and we're announcing it this early because my morning sickness is hard to hide.

On Friday night, after a week of keeping NOTHING down,  losing around 8 lbs and feeling completely dehydrated, we decided to have a date night in the ER.

At the ER they gave me a bunch of fluid and some sweet anti nausea meds through an IV, did an ultrasound, and sent me home with a perscription and a diagnosis.

The Diagnosis: Hyperemesis gravidarum, which basically means severe vomiting during pregnancy, and it can range greatly in seriousness and duration from what I've come to learn.

For me, this means throwing up every time I eat or drink anything and trying to choke down and keep down anti nausea medication so I keep something down. I hope this starts to get better. I'll update you more later...

...if I feel so inclined.
