Simply amusing!

If I were marking, I'd give an A for creativity. But it sure made my day!

Who is the mad child?

Nice direct translation.
I am bound to get this work from some students. So we shall see how things go. Enjoy.

My thoughts.

Hi peeps,

This would just be a short update with what I'm currently doing.

"Wake me up when September ends" is always the famous line whenever September comes to an end (which has already happenned) and we welcome October. When October ends, then comes November and December. Times does fly, doesn't it?

Currently, I'm doing okay. It is already week 9 of semester 2 and I have three weeks left before the major exam in November. And I'm pretty excited when everything is over because I can't wait to come home to meet my family and friends. I am feeling that excitement whenever I think of heading back home (despite all the political stance pulled there) because it is my home afterall.

The past few weeks even before the holidays were very hectic for me because I'm bogged down by lots of assignments and tests. I'm sure those who are in university will understand this. It just reminded me how when STPM was on. You sometimes sleep at 3 am! But then again, life in Adelaide here is peaceful hence it wasn't a problem for me to wake up at 6.30 am for 8 am classes.

I did mention that all my classes start at 8 am every day this semester, didn't I? Hahaha! Some will say 'padan muka'. I say 'yay'! At least I have the afternoons and evenings for myself right? So far, everything is great and I can't believe that I'm finishing my first year. And what a year it has turned out for me. There's so much of experience and things I would want to say but unfortunately due to time constraints now I shall postpone this until I'm done with my exams.

Also this semester was an interesting one because I went for my first practical at a primary school here. Though it wasn't really teaching, more of an observation, I did get my first hands on work as a teacher. I did however taught my students how to read a map. Hence, that was my first official class. At the end, all I could say is I have never regretted becoming a teacher.

Being a teacher is what I always wanted to be. Besides the teaching, planning and participation; I do sometimes dread one thing which a teacher will always complaing about - marking! Yes, marking. You know the times where we will always hand up our work for marking? I am sometimes to be honest dread marking (especially) tonnes and tonnes of paper work. But I guess that's part and parcel of the nature of our work. When you have the good ones, your marking will be as smooth as the red ink from your pen. Wait until you meet those with 'cincai' work, then you start wish you could burn their books.

Life at university so far has been treating me with great care. I'm involved in volunteering in many major activities, being involved in sports, accessed the gym; thus life has been great. The only thing which I dread sometimes is not getting a job. Sigh! I was hoping to do at least something and earn my own pocket money. But it looks like I have to wait for next year. There's not much going around right now.

Again, this is another bad habit of me - I always forget to upload pictures to my blog or facebook. I guess I kinda gotten over with the phobia. But then again, I'm held down by the lazy bug so you can't blame me for that. Yes, you got what I mean - blame the bug which bit me!

The only thing I'm hoping for is that somebody answers my prayer to just magically drop me a note saying "you're in for the hire" and that will make me jump out of my pants. Sorry, weird phrases again. Need to do add in some flavouring to my words. Somehow I'm sensing my satire and sarcasm coming back to me. That is a good sign!

As for now, cheers mate. I'll feed you peeps with more random thoughts later on.

Fighting over something unworthy? Learned something

Coming to think of it, don't we always argue over something which is totally worthless to argue with in the first place? Like arguing over one dumb question which has the wrong answer as the right answer. But again, I guess it does have its benefits from this arguments.

I was at the tutor's duty place today and one of my coursemates put forth a question which is worth one mark. He got it wrong and decided to bring it to our attention. So we argued based on our views. He was right afterall and I was right in my own point of view (but not pertaining to the question).

One thing that I believe is that whenever you argue, your stand has to be strong. So strong that not even a single blow can make you fall. I've learned something today - I learned that everything has to be followed by evidence and by application. Nothing to be ashamed of admitting my mistake. =)

But you know what? By the end of the day, you'll have no more breath and energy left (that leaves me hungry for lunch). So heading off for lunch. See ya people.

p/s: Biology paper starts on Saturday at 9.20 am.
