Our vacation bible school was a camp theme this year. We enjoyed the last two days of it, and I think the kids had a lot of fun.

Beach Birthday

This past weekend we took Bethany and Zachary to Crystal Beach in Galveston.  It took him longer to warm up to playing in the sand/getting in the water.  I think they enjoyed it though.

Bethany liked splashing in the waves as long as you held her.

Zachary was a fan of the tent.

I went fishing with Aaron, Anthony, and Tony while Aaron's mom and sister took the kids to a rainforest and aquarium in Galveston.  We caught a total of 9 fish between all of us.

Too bad we didn't catch fish big enough to keep!

Father's Day

We got to celebrate father's day by swimming and having water gun fights :)

More Birthdays

June is a busy birthday month for us.  We'll be going to the beach for Aaron's birthday at the end of the month and deep sea fishing in Galveston.  I can't wait!  This picture is for my grandma...she made Bethany's dress that she wore to church on Sunday.

 And yesterday we celebrated Randal's 4th birthday!

Summer is so fun!

Earlier this week, I let the kids stay with my dad while I got some stuff ready for Mother's Day Out.  When I came back, Bethany was wearing one of Katie's swimsuits, and Zachary had on some of Randal's clothes.  They were having fun in the water...that's for sure!

Then on Wednesday, we celebrated Katie's 6th birthday before church.  I can't believe she'll be in first grade next year!

Panties & Pull-Ups

I know not too many people blog anymore or have time to comment, but I'll still share with my faithful readers.  I escaped to Abilene this past weekend and enjoyed some girl time.  Christi is pregnant with her third baby, and this time it's a GIRL!  We had fun shopping, eating out with Amanda and her baby girl, and of-course getting pedicures.

Now, my title says panties & pull-ups, which probably tells you we're potty training.  Not so much!  They both woke up dry this morning, so I thought I'd put them in underwear to see how it went.  After 3 accidents and neither one successfully going in the potty, they're back in pull-ups and down for naps.  Let me just share 1 story.  I was in the other room with Bethany, and when I came back in the living room, Zachary was sitting on the couch with NOTHING on, and his underwear was in the middle of the floor.  He had peed and decided to take off his underwear.  If he can't tell me he needs to go, or even tell me when he does go, I don't think he's ready!  I know everybody's different, but I'm not going to chase them around and fight them to sit on the potty.  I think we'll wait a little longer!

We do have a success story though...Zachary doesn't use his pacifiers anymore.  What a big boy :)
