~2 Years Old~

Kamden, two years ago my life changed completely.

I never thought I could love and care for someone like I do you.

You are the happiest little boy.

You have the best smile that everyone comments on.

You are an awesome sleeper and eater.

Each morning you ask for either "gapes" (grapes) or a banana.

Juice (aka Green Smoothie) or milk always seems to satisfy you.

You think dinner means chicken and rice or pizza.
And you can down three slices at one sitting.

"Georgie" (Curious George) and "Melmo" (Elmo) keep you glued to the TV.

You say hi and bye to everyone, even those we don't know at the store.

Books, balls and coloring are a few of your favorite things lately.

Many times a day you list everyone you can remember.

It usually includes: Mamma, Daddy, Nana, Papa, Gramma
(Grandma Brown), Gramma, Grampa, Ralph, Mary, Beka, Seth,
Owie, B, Weston, and Elsie.

You talk non-stop and have new words each day.

You love playing Ring-around-the-Roses, even if it is just with mommy.

Every night you want daddy to chase you around the couch.

You have the best laugh.

Please and thank you are words you use regularly.

You love to share...usually.

You taught yourself to jump and practice ALL the time.

You nicknamed your binky "Muggy".

However, you know it's only for naps and night time.

When you want to be held, you say "hold" with your arms outstretched.

You want us to sit by you all the time.
You ask by patting the seat next to you while saying
"Mamma sit" or "Daddy sit".

You have beautiful loving eyes.

Kam snuggles are my favorite....but come far less often now.

You think you are hilarious. (and we agree)

You are still a mamma's boy and cry when I leave the room...
Even if it is just to the bathroom.

But when daddy asks you if you are "daddy's little buddy"
you are quick to answer "YES".

Kamden, we would be so lost without you.

Your sweet and silly personality brightens our lives each day.

We love you and can't wait to see what this year brings!

One sick boy

We have had a sick sick Kamden at our house.  Our energetic, sweet love-bug has turned into a cranky, teary, and uncomfortable little man for the past five days. Fevers, throwing up and a sore throat will definitely do that to ya.  We are starting to see glimpses of our buddy coming back....THANK GOODNESS! (and yes, that is a tuna can in his hand in the second picture....it made him happy and that was my goal).

Kam loves food...and being sick didn't stop him for the most part. He kept asking for "cacker" (crackers), "gapes" (grapes), toast and juice (Pedialite/Gatorade). He just about lost it when he asked for milk and I told him no. (sorry for the fuzzy picture)

On Sunday, Kam would ask for food but then push it away...this is not like him at all. We decided to take him to the instacare to find out what was going on. Thankfully, it wasn't anything more than a very bad sore throat but that explained why he had stopped eating.

I'm so glad I was able to take today off work to spend with Kamden. I can't wait to have his cute personality completely back. I've really missed his smile!

A rough day....

Kam loves to be outside....LOVES IT! We visited the park yesterday and on our last trip down the slide, Kam's little foot twisted under him and caused a "distal tibia fracture." We have had a rough couple days not being able to run around, climb on everything, or even just walk to get himself something he wants. He won't put any pressure on it. 

There was no swelling or discoloration at first.  When I called the doctor, they just told us to just watch it since Kam wasn't in much pain. (please don't mind the messiness)

The next day, Kyle and I took Kamden in since he still wouldn't put any pressure on his foot. The doctor put a soft cast on Kam's right leg until we can get into the Orthopedic Fracture Clinic next week for a hard cast. 

We decided to put one of daddy's socks on Kam in hopes he won't bother it during the night. As you can tell by the upper left corner, he wasn't very happy.

Kamden is still our happy little man....most of the time. I can't wait til this is all over with and I have my rambunctious Kamden back. I just love this boy!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Kamden has always been the happiest boy! Seriously, we get stopped everywhere by people telling us how smiley and cute he is (and of course I have to agree). Today I asked Kam to smile hoping I would get an adorable St. Patrick's day picture and this is what I got....

Cookie vs. Carrot

I asked Kam if he wanted a cookie and he told me no. I asked if he wanted a carrot and he said yes. That's my boy!
